Labor and delivery was awesome. I was very impressed with Dr. Heim. I got there already at a 9 and ready to push, and he sprung into action. This was my 3rd baby, and this was by far the best hospital experience I've had.

I feel that he is genuinely concerned about what I feel my problems are and is going to do everything in his power to provide the best care that I need. I also appreciate that he is not a physician who's first recommendation is to do surgery. He has provided women's health care to me, my daughter and now my granddaughter. Her concern was for the baby and for me. I've been to doctors in a few different states and it's really hard to find a doctor like her. She probably gets this all the time but, I absolutely love her for how she handled me. She knew how not to worry me and to calm me when i was worried. She genuinely cared! Everytime I left her office I felt I was in a ball of dr esses love and light, safe. She was excited for me. She said to me, "I'm not gonna give a diagnosis with out explaining it to you, that's my job" ! To her and to most people that seems like a no brainer but so many doctors do NOT do this! She holds her self to a high standard of what a doctor should be. That's just who she is, when it comes to her technical skill; she's on point! She has over 30 years of experience and she knows what she's doing. Trust her!!! She's your ultimate reference for your pregnancy and/ health! The ob delivery dept at Santa rosa was amazing as well. The staff that she had to perform my c-section with her was just as amazing as she is, in their own right. Soft and warm, comforting and caring. I loved everyone of them! I went in suspecting cholestasis. I wasn't planning a c section but a vbac, but what are plans! I needed a doctor and without ever meeting me before, or even that night, Dr. Esses agreed to take me on at 36.5 weeks. The results came back a few days later and I went to Dr Esses office and met her in person. She agreed to deliver, called a high risk doctor to confirm it was ok at 37 weeks, and she got me in the operating room at exactly 37 weeks. She was accommodating and absolutely phenomenal. I was scared. I didn't know her. I read a lot of bad reviews. But wow she was absolutely amazing. I have only fantastic memories of Esses and all her visits while I was in recovery were outstanding. I could not have asked for a better experience.

As soon as I had an appt with her, she did labs and found out I had a disorder that could've potentially caused my two miscarriages. She has always answered any questions I had, appointments are available and flexible, and she has always been kind to me. The staff are always welcoming. Sometimes I have to wait for 1-2 hours for an appt depending on the time of day, but she's a busy lady! Would much prefer to know that she's going to deliver my baby. She delivered my double rainbow baby as an elective induction and I could not have asked for a better birth experience. Will be going to her for all future pregnancies

I did not receive a return call from Lindsey, the office manager. So this was a very clear sign to me, that my experience did not matter. I pray that this was an isolated experience. And, that the owners take the time to address it with their staff. I'm Still Choosing Joy!

He was very knowledgeable and communicated thoroughly and professionally. My second pregnancy I had Dr. Ragan as my doctor and I also highly recommend him. They were both very friendly and were happy to answer any questions I had. Dr. Ragan was nice to have as a doctor because he was quick and to the point - without feeling rushed. I actually drove an hour to every appointment because I liked Aventa so much the first time and wanted to go back to Flowers Hospital. The front staff for check in/ out is always super friendly as well and so are the lab techs !
