Kimberly mentioned that their firm could assist me in resolving a legal matter and noted that the 2 hour distance was not too great as their attorneys could represent me remotely. Kimberly also mentioned that the hourly rate was $245. I was surprised when I was forced to pay a $500 retainer before even chatting with an attorney but did so in good faith. While chatting with an attorney, they mentioned that they could send a letter on my behalf, send me to small claims court, or have someone else represent me because I was too far away. After a wasted 45 minute phone call we requested a refund only to receive $181.50. I feel like the firm took advantage of me and my situation and billed me more than the agreed upon $245 an hour. If anything, my daughter should be suing him for breech of contract and not showing up for her in Court and then telling her that she needs to find another attorney that he had health issues.
