Mind you we had our rv park there threw the year but we only stayed 3 or 4 wks every 4 months . So we weren't there all the time at first it was 700 a month with wifi included and ele was 25cents per killerwatts that adds up pretty quick by the time we decided to leave they were charging our card 900 a mo th and pre charge for months we were staying cause they put t our card on auto pay becareful of that . We came just few weeks after area was hit by hurricane Helene. They got it quickly back up and…read morerunning. They have gorgeous spots right on the river and I could hear the river as I slept and it was so soothing!! The owners are wonderful people and really want campers to enjoy every aspect of their stay. They came out when we came in to help us back camper in our spot. It's very close to town like 5 min drive but felt out in country. Our spot had a picnic table and fire pit. They have a pretty good size bath house with vending machines and at as use washers and dryers which would be good for long stays! Shower stalls were individual bathrooms for privacy .. updated and very clean. We came before Halloween and it had decor for the holiday.. you could stay in camper, they had cabins, and tepees for unique stay. Most were damaged by storm but will be ready for following year. I thought that was really interesting.. i read reviews from previous years about wifi being terrible but we didn't have that issue. We didn't really spend all day at campground we came to see and spend time in the area so we were only using wifi at night and in morning with coffee. I would highly recommend this campground.. it was a great stay and I hated to leave.

The coffee shop was a nice feature, but we were disappointed that it wasn't open on our way out of town Sunday. We understand why it's closed on Sundays, but the coffee shop, also being open to the public, should be open on Sundays if they're going to use this as a selling feature for coming to Big Mike's. The parking pads are a decent size and we had one right on the river. Since we were there in October, there wasn't a whole lot to do especially in the creek. It was evident at the time that big Mike was still working on expanding and building his dream RV park. The open area field is perfect for families so kids can run around or play ball. Overall, it was clean and the shower facilities were one of the best we'd experienced on our travels. We highly recommend big Mike's RV Resort!

The staff at Sugar Hollow are friendly and accommodating and are continuing to expand their facilities. While we were there, the laundry area was completed and six new "long term" sites were cleared by inspectors. It is a remote area of Tennessee, but has all of the necessities within a ten minute drive. Do yourself a favor and check out the wood fired pizza at Smokey Mountain Bakers nearby. The six cheese is our favorite. And if that doesn't satisfy you, larger metro areas are with a 30 minute drive.

One of the best places we have ever camped!…read more We had a large concrete pad large enough for our fifth wheel and patio space beside it. It was equipped with a very nice fire pit and a large stack of firewood included in the price. One staff member led us to our site in a golf cart, and another was already there to guide me while backing in. I have never before had this level of parking assistance! One of our slides jammed when we tried to extend it. The owner and two or three of his staff spent at least an hour trying to help us. We didn't have any luck, but the staff recommended a local mobile RV repair guy who was on site in about an hour and solved the problem. The park's cable TV service is head and shoulders above anything else we have ever seen. The area is full of natural beauty, and there are many places to get delicious food within a five to ten minute drive. Need groceries? Publix, Ingles, and Food Lion are just 15 minutes away, and Walmart about 20 minutes. Cross Creek RV Park is a great example of Western North Carolina hospitality at it's finest!

We spent 2 nights here and loved our site, the deck over the rushing stream was a perfect place to sip coffee in the mornings and whiskey in the evenings. The dog park gave our pup the chance to run free, the clean bathhouses gave us a place to freshen up and the location gave us the ability to explore all Asheville had to offer, climb to the top of Mount Mitchell (the highest point East of the Mississippi) and just enjoy the surroundings. Our site had a full hook up, electric and water (even with temps in the low 20's at night), we had a fire ring (or square), a picnic table perched on the deck, cantilevered over the stream, and lovely (back-in) site with privacy and shade. We can't wait to come back.

Very nice play area for the kids, nice bathroom facilities, a great group pavilion with a fireplace & TV, and a well equipped camp store. The park is near the Blue Ridge Parkway and several nice towns with craft galleries. Many of the guests told me they had been coming for YEARS. There is nice landscaping between spaces and several of the spaces had decks over the trout stream. This RV Park has added many acres next door and is expanding. I look forward to returning to some of the friendliest staff!!
