No doubt about it I am an animal lover and care for my animals as if they were my actual children. Recently we adopted a black lab and Dr. Craig performed her spay surgery which went great and her scar is barely noticeable now. However, when I took her in for her suture removal, there was a 6 week old puppy in a crate that said "free puppy". Of course I had to get her out and hold her and of course fell in love with. That morning Dr. Malloy was on his way in to the office when he found her all by herself, abandoned. Of course he couldn't leave her there all alone, so with is love for animals he was the one who brought her to the office knowing someone would adopt her. It was meant to be, immediately she was named Mollie and we just fell in love with her. So now Mollie and Maggie (our black lab) are BFF. Not only did Dr. Malloy save her life, he is helping us with the expenses by providing us with her 1st year of shots and her spay at no charge for giving her lots of love and a wonderful home to grow in. This was a blessing since we were just getting thru the initial shots with Maggie. How many veterinarian's would do this for stray little puppy? I know I can speak to Dr.Craig at any time whether it is at the office or at home when I need her or which ever is on call and that means the world to me and gives me a piece of mind. Also, I can always expect a phone call the next day from Krista to check in on my babies when they have been to see one of the Dr's. This speaks volume about the type of service you will receive at Baker House Animal Hospital, they are all AWESOME! You will never see me going to any other vet because of the trust I have in the Dr's and all of the staff at Baker House. We initially came to Baker House 3 years ago, because their prices were incredibly reasonable. I wasn't prepared for the amazing care and compassion we would receive. We adopted a golden retriever puppy 3 years ago, and love her to pieces. Dr. Craig was excellent with us as our 5 month old puppy broke her leg, and potentially needed major surgery. Thankfully, with the help of Baker House it healed well, and surgery was not necessary. Unfortunately that same puppy a few months later consumed several pairs of children's underwear and required surgery. They were amazing. They went out of the way to make her comfortable and to keep us updated on how she was, and how we could best care for her. In the last month, we thought our cat was having a digestion issue. We took him in to see Dr. Craig and she quickly realized he had a large mass in his abdomen. She was able to draw fluid from around the mass, take some x-rays, and based on her expertise we decided to go ahead with the surgery. They were able to remove a 1 lb tumor from our 10 lb cat ( along with 6 cm of intestines). When he left the next day he was down to 7 lbs (after losing all the fluid and the mass). We took their advice and sent a portion of the tumor out for testing. It did come back as a cancerous tumor, but a very slow growing one and he should make a complete recovery. Dr. Craig and her staff saved the lives of BOTH of our pets on several occasions. It is incredibly evident that they genuinely care about the animals they care for. We are incredibly grateful for the expertise, care and compassion that we have received. We HIGHLY recommend them!!! read more

I have been a customer for almost 8 years now. They have taken care of all my dogs. I first became a customer when my dog started having serve issues with not being able to walk and I was afraid I was going to lose him. I called my existing vet and they were getting ready to close in 20 minutes and they told me they could not see my dog that day. I then went to the phone book and found Baker House and they went out of their way to get me in that evening. I brought my dog in and they felt I might have to put him down due to a slip disk in his back. They told me that they would do everything they could that night and wait to see how he was the next day. The next day he was walking around again and he eventually recovered to live for several more years thanks to Baker House's Vets. They are very friendly and I wouldn't go any where else. I have recommended them to a number of neighbors who go there now and all would say the same. read more

Baker House Animal Hospital was recently recommended to me by a friend. As a new pet owner, I was anxious about taking my new family member to just anyone. I drove 40 minutes to Baker House Animal Hospital to get my dog a yearly physical and Bordetella vaccine. I could NOT have been happier with this place. They were friendly, knowledgeable and great with my dog. The vet spent a lot of time with me answering all my thousands of questions and never once made me feel stupid. They offer walk in hours where you can get a vaccine for your pet without having to pay an exam fee. Bottom line...prices are great and the service can t be beat. It was well worth the drive. The fact that they're practicing in what was once a home tells you everything you need to know: instead of the impersonal feel of a clinic, the staff treats you and your pets like you're part of the family. They're professional, compassionate, and friendly. We've taken the cats to see Dr Craig, whose affection for animals is clearly genuine, but I like her mostly because she's always happy to answer my million questions, like she enjoys sharing her knowledge, to help us help our kitties. In the past, we've taken them to vets who didn't want to be bothered with our questions, and that never made sense to me, whereas Dr Craig makes us feel comfortable and confident in caring for our animals. read more

I recently took Bella, my 7 year old chocolate lab, to the Baker House Animal Hospital for an aural hematoma. The staff was very professional and caring, and Dr. Craig was very helpful in explaining the options for surgery and the underlying issues that led to the hematoma. The surgery went great, and Bella is now in the latter stages of recovery. Walk-in hours and quick check-ins make visits convenient. Most importantly, I feel Baker House Animal Hospital creates a very comfortable environment for both pets and owners. We have been taking our pets to Baker House Animal Hospital for more than 5 years. We have found them to be very professional, yet personal. We like that they have special times for walk ins that allow us to get shots and the like without having to pay extra for an official vet examination. One of our dogs experienced kidney failure while we were on vacation and the vets at Baker House Animal Hospital stayed in touch with us, long distance until we could get him back home and under their care.
