I tend to be a very informed patient (mom's a nurse influence) and they answered all my questions around predispositions to eye health, types of glasses, contacts, and other correction options. I went there with the understanding that the DR was doing surgeries at Rockdale Hospital. when they were setting up my surgeries, I informed them that I may not be able to get transportation to Atlanta. I was not able to, so I ended up canceling more than a month in advance. But I guess, to get me back, they charged me 385.00 for nothing. It was more than my bill for the two test. I paid 211.00 something for a prepayment and lost it because my bill was about doubled. As of now, I am having to wait to save up money to see another DR. I am on S S and Medicare, and its very hard to save. I do not believed the DR knew about this, because he knew my situation. I am still waiting on my refund. Their finance people left me on hold one day, telling me they would be right back, left me on hold until the place was closed. And that's the truth!! They were tired of me calling. Never in my 71 years has anyone treated me this way!! The first time I called I was told I may be charged a small fee to get my refund. I know they tape it. After that, I was charged the385.00.
