The Eye Center has a friendly, helpful staff that truly knows their business. There was no extraordinary example of how good they were. They simply did what they are there to do. Take care of their customers and provide the best optical service possible. Although, I no longer live in the area, I continue to patronize this group. My son and I had an appointment today and it was by far the best experience at an office of this kind. I mean every single person that I came in contact with while I was there was the sweetest and most professional that I've seen in a long time. Chic Fil A type of customer service, we saw Dr Grosswald and he went into so much detail and explained everything. I haven't had a doctors visit where they went into so much detail EVER!! Even my pcp will try to get me in and out and I'm usually left dissatisfied and on Google. Shemela checked us out and she was more than awesome, very personable!! I went to look for new eye glasses. A lady gave me an eye glass holder and asked me to make my selection, place them in the container and someone will be with me. I preceded to make my selection then had a seat. I sat there for 30 minutes waiting for the technician to finish with their customers. Around that time, the two technicians finished with their customers and then called two new customers to try on glasses. When I got up to speak with someone concerning my lack of service, I was told by another technician that they were seeing their "appointments" first. He offered to place the numbers of the glasses that I'd selected on file but never offered to make me an appointment. He said that I should look at the amount of "cars in the parking lot prior to coming in." By this time, I had wasted over 45 minutes and had not received any service! This was an awful experience. Poor communication of how they deliver their service and the lack of respect for customers time is appalling! read more

Dr Groswald and his team have been extremely professional and given my entire family the very best care. I drive to Conyers from Dunwoody and it is most definately worth it! Very nice facility. You check in at the center of the site. They have friendly staff and new technology to check on your eye health. I came here on a weekend day, and around lunchtime, so I had to wait a long time before I saw a doctor. It looked like they had a great selection of glasses, but I didn't stick around to browse. read more

Okay guys. I wrote the unhappy review where my glasses broke after 3 weeks and these people demanded $25 and 3 weeks to replace them. I received a text to come pick up my new glasses, and headed on over. When i got there they demanded the broken pair back. No one told me to keep and return them. They were unfixable, right? Garbage, right? So now they won't give me the new PAID FOR PAIR without the broken pair. I was seeing red by this point! I said i wasn't told to return them and threw them away. They were not willing to budge an inch. No customer service at all. So i said, let's just process a refund right now. And they wanted to argue about that! So i got my refund for the full price of the glasses - and left! Don't waste your money or your time here. Shoddy materials and shoddy service here!!! read more

Dr. Grosswald and his team seem like family and tended to treat me and the other patients that way. Very friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. I tend to be a very informed patient (mom's a nurse influence) and they answered all my questions around predispositions to eye health, types of glasses, contacts, and other correction options. His services came well-recommended, so I drove from downtown Atlanta... well worth the drive. I would definitely recommend to family and friends as a great healthcare provider. read more

BEWARE AND BE VERY LEERY ABOUT GOING TO THIS PLACE!!I wish I could give this so-called business a zero. I made an online appointment on June 8, 2021 for a routine eye exam. I never received a confirmation online and I called the Eye Center to get a confirmation for my appointment scheduled for July 24, 2021. I was told that I would receive a confirmation phone call as it got closer to my appointment date. Fast forward to July 23, 2021 one day before my appointment, and I still had not received a confirmation call for my appointment. I called The Eye Center at 3:36 PM (they close at 5 PM) and I ask whether or not my appointment was still on as scheduled. Even though I had given them my cell phone number, The person that I spoke with, who identified herself as "Kristen" said that she had left a voicemail. I ask what phone number was called because I had not received a voicemail from them. The number that the employee Kristen had called was my wife's phone number instead of mine, and this is where they left a voicemail. What also disturbed me was when I asked what my co-pay would be and I was told by Kristen on the phone and on the voicemail sent to my wife's cell phone that my co-pay would be $64. I said that this seemed a little high and I asked the person to recheck my co-pay. That's when the employee Kristen (who claimed to be a manager) changed their story and said that my co-pay was $25 and that the other $39 was for digital imaging. I ask whether or not the digital imaging was optional and the person said that it was optional, but it was something that the doctor preferred. OK, this made me have second thoughts about going through with this appointment because this person KRISTEN had LIED about my co-pay and made it sound like the digital imaging had to be a part of my co-pay when it was not. This person Kristen did not provide the information until I inquired further. The next day, Saturday, July 24th, when I showed up for my appointment, this employee Kristen told me that she had cancelled my appointment without giving me any notice and in violation of Dr. Grosswald and the Eye Center's provider agreement with my insurance company. The reason that I was given was that I asked too many questions in the email that I sent to the Eye Center questioning the co-pay. I was refused service even though I had insurance coverage and I was given no advance notice of their cancellation. I believe that there were other "unspoken, underlying" reasons. Everyone should check their co-pay when going to this place to insure that there are no "optional" charges included in their co-pay. I filed a complaint with my insurance carrier on this "business" and would urge others who have had similar experiences with this business to also file a complaint. In my opinion, there are probably many more people who have been cheated by this business and practices like theirs are one of the main reasons reasons why medical care costs are skyrocketing. read more

I have been to 4-5 other offices for my keratoconus and getting fit for specialized lenses. None know as much as Dr Grosswald and explained everything to a bare nuts and bolts. I typically don't leave reviews but I now am seeing better with the most comfort I have ever had since I found out about my condition. Best part is we are not even done. From what I am think the next fit will be even more accurate and customized even more to my eyes. I will note he has technology I have never seen in any other office and utilizes them very well. At first I was getting a negative vibe because it was not posted that if you handle the frames on the wall you must place them in a tray for cleaning by staff. I noticed this one lady trying on multiple frames and just placing back on the wall. While waiting and observing, I only heard one person introduce themselves and that was Kurt. I monitored how the other employees treated the customer. Was not in a bad way, but I like to know who I am speaking with. I did not see a name tag on anyone. Anyway, I appreciated how they sanitized their surroundings after each patient. That was a plus!!! However, the person who really did it for me was Dr. Parks. He introduced himself, explained whatever he was doing, provided education on eye care and made me feel like I was his only patient that day. He had great bedside manners. I would give him a 5 alone, but I observed the whole team. The last person I dealt with was Jewel. I had to ask her her name. If it wasn't for this little hiccup, I would've given her a 5 alone for her professionalism and sense of humor. I would recommend the Center and I would return. read more

I took my son here for an eye exam. The service was as good as it gets. Prompt service. Professionalism from the entire staff. The eye doctor did a very thorough exam and was very informative in explaining his findings, such that even my son learned a thing or two. He was then able to pick from a nice choice of frames and the rates were reasonable. Best of all, his new glasses were ready for pick up the next day!!! Great experience at Dr Grosswald's office!!!! Exceptional staff and office. Im a fellow Optometrist who specifically brought my son to his office due to his expertise in the area of Ortho K. My son is doing GREAT without having to use his glasses for school and sports. Dr Grosswald and his staff at the Eye Center were great with my son. If you or a child need to wear glasses or contact lenses on a regular basis and wish to get rid of them and are looking for an alternative to surgery, I highly recommend Ortho K. This place I would not recommend to anyone. Overpriced and service is horrible. I spent almost $1500 there and it was a problem from the start. Made an appointment a week in advance and once there on time had to wait almost 45 minutes before being seen. Then fitted for glasses, both normal and sunglasses with new lenses and told it would be 1 week. It took about 10 days and I got a call saying my glasses were ready. Went in to pick up and was told, no the lenses were in but waiting on the frames. Another week went by and got a call that my glasses were ready. Went in and the regular glasses were ready but not my sunglasses. So another week before they came in. Then I was having problem as was not able to see as well as I did with my old pair. Was told I needed Prisms in the glasses and I paid the extra charge to have them ordered and applied to my lenses. After a few more days was told they were ready and I picked up. I still was having some issues and had a friend in the eye glass industry check them and was told they did not have the prisms I had paid for. Went to another well know eye center in the same area and was told my glasses were totally incorrect and they confirmed there was no prisms. Spent another $500 for new lenses and it took 3 days only to get and they are perfect. I believe I was riped off at the Eye Center and should take action but just mark it up to lesson learned and hope I help save someone else the problem. read more
