She absolutely loved them and purchased some later for me nieces wedding tea party, where they received rave reviews. Recently some of my family was in a bad way and I thought some cupcakes would cheer them up. I called to place the order but couldn't get through. I left a message but didn't get a callback until the next day. (Apparently they have had phone issues.) I placed the order and set up delivery to Fruita. They called to say that they saw someone driving away right as they were delivering the cupcakes and they left them on the porch. I reached out to a member of the household to let them know and as it turns out, the address was wrong anyway. Luckily the address they delivered to was friends with our family and brought them over to them. It turned out ok, but I wish the process had been a bit easier. Overall, I'm sure I'll buy through them again because they are fantastic, but hopefully they get their phone and process ironed out so it's a bit easier. read more

I am not from GJ but I flew into GJ because it was closer to Moab than SLC. With that said I was flying in for my friends birthday in Castle Valley where I flew in with a special cake. I spent a lot of time having a special gluten free - vegan cake made that I picked up from Sensitive Sweets in Fountain Valley. Traveling carefully with this cake I managed to not mess it up until I had to change flights from SLC to a small commuter plane to GJ. We hit turbulence and of course this precious cake ended up getting messy. I googled a bakery once we landed where I found Baker's Boutique. I explained my situation and with he strange request to see if they could help make this cake look good again. THANK YOU ladies at Baker's Boutique for your time and kindness. They cleaned up the mess (i posted pics) and made the cake look better than the original bakery did, Hence some of the frosting was no longer vegan but the gluten thing was more of a concern for the folks that would be at the birthday shin-dig. The cake came out beautiful but just for a short moment. Clumsy me while lowering the cake had my purse fall off my shoulder and land on the top of the box slightly messing things up again..... I called from California to order a birthday cake for my son who is away at college at CMU. Meghan was so helpful helping me pick out a cake for my son and even called me back to make sure she could get it delivered as promised. The cake turned out great and the delivery person (sorry, didn't get her name) even took a photo of my son and sent it to me knowing how hard it is to have your kids away on their birthdays. Stopped for gas while passing through town and happened to notice this quaint little place. I'm glad that we we tried something new instead of going to Starbucks. These taste like little kid cupcakes from Walmart the cookies are hard and they really just aren't great. I was very excited to try a cookies and cream cupcakes they look great but I only took one bite and trashed it. They make very upscale baked goods here and don't skimp on the quality ingredients too like REAL vanilla instead of the imitation stuff used by commercial bakeries like at City Market!
