That was extremely frustrating. I wish they had warned me in advance that there might be a wait for the food because I would've opted not to order it, but at that point I was committed since going elsewhere would just tack on more time. 20 mins after that, I finally got my toast. Yes, 35 minutes to deliver a toasted piece of bread with some toppings and a small bed of lettuce with blueberries and seeds. At that point, I was bummed cause now my whole day was delayed. A friend likes their teas. Their sandwiches are OK and I've never had issues with their service. So, why the low rating? Their pour over and batch coffee are insanely acidic. I could not finish either cup. Why? What happened? Are they not using the wonderful Cat and Cloud coffee in production? I've made coffee at home using Cat and Cloud beans bought at Copeka and really liked it. Are they using the same grind for the espresso drinks and the pour over and batch drinks? The very fine grind needed to make a good espresso drink is too fine for a batch or pour over coffee and makes the drink acidic. Are their baristas poorly trained on pour over and batch brewing? I've seen several reviews praising their pour over and batch coffee, but they date from 2019. Has something changed in the interim? It's hard to tell, but I think I'll keep looking for a coffee shop more to my liking.
