Yesterday, June 30th, I went to this bakery with my two sons ages 8 and 6. It was their last day of school and I wanted to purchase doughnuts to celebrate. I asked for half a dozen. I picked four and told my boys to pick one flavor each. My youngest was deciding when the male attendant/worker said, "Hurry up, boy," in a derogatory tone. When my oldest picked a flavor he called my son "boy" in a derogatory tone too. Then to add insult to injury as he was sliding my debit card at the register he told my boys, "You need a haircut." I informed him my sons' Afros are handsome and that's how we want them to look. He chuckled. They went to the barber a week ago to get shaped up. I will never return to this business. Another worker (female) stood behind the man when he made the comment about my sons' hair. So, clearly they condone bigoted statements. read more

Friday was our second experience at this establishment... The first was OK the women who expressed that she baked most of the donuts was amazing donuts were OK not Krispy Kreme but still good. I'm not one to like my donuts as thick as they are but a great flavor. However the second time going was terrible the gentleman was rude and had a smart mouth, which is not very inviting for a business owner. Terrible experience and customer service at this place. I called at about 6:15 and asked if they had donuts and can I go get a dozen. They said yes and they would be open until 7. I show up at 6:20 and they are closed. An Asian lady comes out and tells me they are closed because they sold out. Another customer comes up who was also promised donuts and she says to us she's busy and has to clean and closes the door on our face. We knock on the door again to ask for her managers name and she said she is the manager, so we ask for the owners name and she didn't want to give it to us, she hesitated. How did they sell out in less than 5 minutes? Then she puts up a sign that says they sold out and will be on vacation the 2nd-5th. Ding ding ding!!! She was just trying to leave early on her vacation! I will NEVER be coming here again or getting donuts for parties and company events here EVER again. Duck Donuts here I come!!! Went here for a wider selection than Dolce while Sugar on Top is closed on Mondays. I came into this donut shop with a simple sign in a strip mall on capital. Took me a second to find it but I was not disappointed! What a selection! From cinnamon rolls and fritters to raised and cake doughnuts. I love raised doughnuts the most so I got a half dozen with strawberry frosted, original, and 2 cinnamon crumb (cake doughnuts). Additionally I bought my baby a dozen glazed holes. He ate 9 1/2 of them and is happy as can be. I ate a strawberry frosted (my fav) and I was honestly blown away with the quality. Crisp golden brown edges, fluffy perfectly raised inner doughnut, finished with a tangy sweet contrast of strawberry frosting. REAL strawberry frosting. Not that 99% sugar artificially flavored bs. Whoever baked these doughnuts is a doughnut god/goddess. I will recommend this place to everybody. I will definitely come back. Soon. I'm overly picky and this find made my day! They're open until 7pm first of all. 7pm! Thank you for doing that so kids can actually eat there as a special treat after school or before an evening sporting event. Secondly, they are way better than I was expecting. Not generic tasting at all. Better than overrated popular doughnut spots that have popped up all over. Not too much air, not too dense, just perfect. But the lady who was working at the time did not greet us, smile, or even respond when we told her it was our first time in the store.
