This is my favorite place to get apple fritters. They are absolutely delicious here. I don't visit often but when I do I know what to order. For best selection you want to arrive sooner than later. Although they stay open until 7:00pm, the selection is better in the earlier part of the day. Light, fluffy, and heavenly. I am so so glad I decided to stop in on an early Sunday morning. Everything looked so fresh and delicious, it was hard to pick only 6 in our half dozen. We ordered the strawberry raise, blueberry cake, twist, French crueller, and one custard filled. Yes, yes, and yes. The blueberry cake was very moist and dense - just what I imagined! The raise was airy and had the perfect consistency. I loved them all and I can't wait to try the rest. Btw, a dozen of the holes are only $1.50?! The only thing I regret is ordering half a dozen instead of a full dozen. Wow we devoured those in less than 10 minutes! The prices are ridiculously reasonable. Suspiciously reasonable.. it's almost as if they actually want us to come back for more. Do yourself a favor and get the dozen. read more

Baker's Dozen is my favorite donut shop. Their donuts are made fresh daily and you can tell the freshness of the donuts with each bite. They have a wonderful selection of donuts. My favorites are their old fashioned, their raise flavors, cinnamon roll and the apple fritter. Sometimes, if you go late in the day after work like I usually do, you may find that they may be sold out of your favorites which is always a disappointment. No Rating No Donuts! Today I visited the donut shop after passing it by many times. I saw a fly buzzing around in the case with the donuts and I asked the staff where they had their NC Sanitation Score and Letter Grade (required by law) she first acted oblivious to the fact that it's required by law in all restaurants in NC. She then acknowledged that restaurants do have to have it but told me that it was none of my business anyway. I was shocked at the attitude I caught from this saleswoman OVER DONUTS. They must be doing a lot wrong to be so private over a sanitation score in a donut shop. I will definitely be taking my business to Duck Donuts for a cleaner and friendlier experience! read more

designer donuts.....it's the in thing. pay $3 for 1 donut b/c it's lavender honey flavored.....there's a place for that, and it can be fun,. But what if you want to take a box of donuts to work, paying $30 for a box of a dozen donuts just doesn't seem like the place i want to spend my money. What then are your options? Box of donuts from the local grocery store or something, more than likely stale, from the local chain donut place. I'm just not a fan of either of those options. This, hands down is my number 1 donut place in the triangle. I would go here over designer donuts ANY DAY. Why? Tasty, tasty, donuts! We had a craving for donuts on Sunday night and basically nothing is open later in the day on Sunday. Except, Baker's Dozen Donuts 2 that is! They were open until 7, we headed right over. I was worried going later in the day that the donuts would be stale and picked over. Not the case! The donut case was still pretty well stock and each donut we purchased tasted super fresh. We went with the larger Boston cream pie donut as well as a simple sugar coated. I would get both again. If you are looking for classic donuts you need to give this place a try. They are also a bargain, I only paid $2.26 for two donuts. They are shoved into a plaza across from Triangle Town Center. We drove by at first, without finding the shop. They are a store towards the middle of the plaza and their sign simply says donuts. read more

I was seriously craving a donut this evening and after hearing about the new Baker's Dozen Donuts on Capital Blvd I decided to check it out! The shop is small and pretty simple but very nice and clean! Even at 6PM there was still a pretty decent selection of goodies, though once people learn about this place i'm sure that will change! The woman at the front was super sweet, asking if it was my first time in and offering me a donut hole to sample. It was fluffy, sweet and delicious! After a few moments of perusing my options I decided on an apple fritter. It was massive and only $1.50.....And so good! Even later in the day it was super moist! The other donuts were priced very similarly, ranging from about 80 cents to $1.50. You can definately get a lot for your money here! I am so glad to have such a great bakery down the street! I love this Donut shop!! I think it's better than Krispy Kreme's. First off the donuts are so fresh that they melt in your mouth. If you buy 12 you get 1 free and it's such a great deal. I work down the road and this has become to new donut stop because Dunkins is not that great. The lady that works there is so friendly and helpful. I love the original glazed donuts. These people know how to make donuts ;) I came here on a Tuesday afternoon, on a last minute run for 2 dozen donuts for a birthday celebration. When I first entered there weren't too many donuts on display. But there were tons of pastries that looked amazing! I bought a variety of whatever donuts were on display and was off to the celebration. The kids LOVED it! I tasted the vanilla with sprinkles and the cinnamon sugar ones. They were so good! These are more like cake donuts which is my favorite kind. So if you like Krispy Kreme, this might not be your place. On top of having great flavors and varieties, the prices cannot be beat.
