BE WARNED! Review written by my Husband:…read more My wife took a brand new ring (still in the box) that I purchased for her into this Kay's to be resized. They told her it would be approximately 2 weeks. 1 week later, they called to tell her that her ring was lost. "We don't know what happened. Possibly a UPS driver stole it. We just don't know but we are sorry." My wife told the Kay Manager, Lauren (I think), that we just wanted to be reimbursed for the value stated on my receipt. The Manager continually said "We cannot reimburse you but we will replace it with a "similar or less" type of ring. That is what it states on the receipt that we gave her when she dropped it off." Long story short, after several weeks of texting my wife pics of engagement rings off their Clearance page "Do you like this one or that one?" When my wife told the the Manager that none of those rings were anywhere close to the size, clarity and color of the ring she had dropped off, she again stated that she was sorry, but that the receipt she gave her when she dropped off the ring stated clearly, that if it was lost or stolen, that they would replace it with something similar or less. She just finally accepted an small engagement ring (that she doesn't need) to get the stress & frustration over with. The ring that my wife dropped off at Kay Jewelers had a certification card from Gemological Institute of America stating her ring had approximately 91 diamonds. The ring they replaced it with had NO certification card & only had approximately 40 small diamonds. When we went to pick up the engagement ring, they made her sign a paper stating that she would not (basically) talk bad about them or post anything on social media that may harm their reputation. I can and I'm pissed at how they handled losing her brand new ring. WHAT A SCAM!!!

On that day they had used bold cutters to cut the ring completely devaluing it. They had told me that the reason was to determine if it was not layered or plated which I understand, but found quite odd. After the three guys had a talk between them in their own language (I couldn't care less what language they spoke) they told me that the gold was 10k. I nodded and they gave me a price, but one of them seemed excited to go with the trade which threw me off and I denied the trade for cash. Their expression completely disappeared as they wanted me to go ahead and go with the trade and to just "send them a picture of my id" I would have found it pointless if the whole idea is to have my id while in the store and I left. As of today 5/11/26, I went to 5 different gold stores to get it tested and they told me that the gold had actually tested for 14k gold! For gold markets I kind of expected 1 was going to try and scam me at some point, but never would have thought MO Jewelers would. Their initial plan was to buy my gold for the price of what 10k is going for without knowing it was 14k. Completely and utterly ridiculous how they tried to scam and will not be going to this place ever again!
