Appolo installed new furnace and central a/c unit in my home…read more At the time of the installation, the overflow preventer in the a/c unit was stuck, resulting in flooding my carpeted basement. The initial repair person who came to see what caused the flood was the one who told me that the overflow preventer install caused the flood yet Appolo refused to reimburse me for the insurance deductible. Two years later another (different) company came for routine maintenance and showed me that the original ductwork was poorly designed because there is a rule that there should be 24 inches between secondary ducts and the end of each main line; it is clear on most online descriptions that this is ideal for maximum air flow through the system. When Appoly did the original install I had them come back because the air flow felt insufficient and they told me it was by design because the goal is to run the unit for a long time at a lower air flow for consistent temperature!!

I needed a complete reinstall of a toilet that another business installed but did not properly secure. Jacob with Evans did the reinstall and was outstanding. He noticed some areas of concern that were leaking and explained what he was going to do to fix it. He replaced to old flange that wasn't even secured to the flooring and sealed everything up beautifully. Jacob was very professional and personable. I also felt the cost of the job was very fair. I will definitely recommend Evans to others and call them for future plumbing and heating jobs.

Our water softener went bust on us, and we reached out to several companies. Only 2 contacted us…read moreback, Arctic Bear being one. We were very impressed with the company, from start to finish. Evan came out for the initial consultation. He did several tests on our water and made his recommendations, explaining everything along the way. The prices seemed better compared to the other company(who quoted lower but with less of what we actually needed). We didn't go with all of his recommendations, and he didn't try to hard sell us, which I REALLY appreciated. Scheduling was quick and easy. A 25% deposit was required, which I find fair. And as our luck would have it, the night before the installation, we got a leak in a different section of our plumbing. I called Arctic Bear the morning of installation, and was scheduled for someone to come in the afternoon(separate from the installation). Well, Alex comes to do the installation and says he just got a call from the office, and he can fix our leak too! Let me tell you, I was so pleased. I expected someone who was specialized for just water softener system installation. But Alex installed our new system, removed our old system, and fixed our leak(which was in an awkward place and required replacing piping and valves). He even asked if there was anything else we needed done while he was there! I will NOT hesitate to use or recommend Arctic Bear in the future.

The one i have has old lines and refrigerant and cant be repaired(their words) My new contractor just shook his head advised not the first time hes heard that . He said say that's true. He could do it for 7-8 but its not needed.

I watched as the repairman kept repeating his testing on the electrodes ....... and finally came to conclusion it was a gas valve problem. Then he didn't have the part on the truck so he had to meet someone from the store halfway to get one. I was charged for 2 hrs labor. I felt he was just wasting time. I feel very uneasy about calling them again and will find another service. We'd always had great service when Ron was in charge.

A day later, didn't work. Called for follow-up, were told they couldn't come for 4 days (after 3 day heat streak) unless we paid a "priority fee." I pushed back angrily, but respectfully. Said this was bad business sense & that we shouldn't have to pay a fee on top of a failed $650 repair. Was told the tech's schedule was full unless we paid the fee for them to "move things around." I said again that's unacceptable treatment of paying customer. Said if they insisted on the "priority fee," I would not work with them & would post on social media/tell friends. I was told "don't threaten me" and "we don't take that lightly." To be clear, this was not meant as a threat, but a statement of consequences. And as they did nothing to resolve things, we are following up with bad review as promised.
