I found them to be honest,…read morehonorable, hard working, skilled, knowledgeable, and lower in cost than the other companies. i called 3 other local chimney repair businesses for chimney repair and inspection, but the other companies either did not return calls, or were over priced. Jason at J&J answered the phone and scheduled an appointment. He and his wife came out and inspected our 2 chimneys. Photos from inside the wood stove chimney showed a large build up of creosote partially obstructing the chimney. this is likely why the smoke had been blowing back into the room. It showed me that the prior chimney repair company had done a poor job of cleaning our chimney. J&J chimney removed the blockage, put in a steel liner, did repairs on the other 2 chimneys, and did so for a better price than i had been quoted before. they brought a vacuum and cleaned up after themselves. i am pleased with their work and will use them again and again, and recommend them to others. it's hard to find people these days who do a good job, are honest, on time, do what they say, and answer the phone.

I watched as the repairman kept repeating his testing on the electrodes ....... and finally came to conclusion it was a gas valve problem. Then he didn't have the part on the truck so he had to meet someone from the store halfway to get one. I was charged for 2 hrs labor. I felt he was just wasting time. I feel very uneasy about calling them again and will find another service. We'd always had great service when Ron was in charge.

Said this was bad business sense & that we shouldn't have to pay a fee on top of a failed $650 repair. Was told the tech's schedule was full unless we paid the fee for them to "move things around." I said again that's unacceptable treatment of paying customer. Said if they insisted on the "priority fee," I would not work with them & would post on social media/tell friends. I was told "don't threaten me" and "we don't take that lightly." To be clear, this was not meant as a threat, but a statement of consequences. And as they did nothing to resolve things, we are following up with bad review as promised.

He even offered to bring over space heaters in case it died before Monday. The crew of young guys came Monday on time and were so kind and just as knowledgeable as Pat. My BF was at work and I had the day off so I was there with them and they didn't treat me any different than my BF just because I am an old lady lol. I explained that I needed an appointment at a very specific time of day and he agreed to be at my home at 8am on a date that we both agreed to. When that day arrived, he called my house at 7:50am and stated that he was ill and wouldn't be able to keep the appointment. He also stated that he'd call me later that same day to reschedule. That's been almost 2 weeks ago and I still haven't heard a word from him. He offers a very attractive price, but if he can't call back before he gets the money then I doubt he'll call back after he gets the money.
