Appolo installed new furnace and central a/c unit in my home. At the time of the installation, the overflow preventer in the a/c unit was stuck, resulting in flooding my carpeted basement. The initial repair person who came to see what caused the flood was the one who told me that the overflow preventer install caused the flood yet Appolo refused to reimburse me for the insurance deductible. Two years later another (different) company came for routine maintenance and showed me that the original ductwork was poorly designed because there is a rule that there should be 24 inches between secondary ducts and the end of each main line; it is clear on most online descriptions that this is ideal for maximum air flow through the system. When Appoly did the original install I had them come back because the air flow felt insufficient and they told me it was by design because the goal is to run the unit for a long time at a lower air flow for consistent temperature!! read more

NEVER HAVE THE PROPER FILTER FOR MAINTENANCE - AND WATCH THEM LIKE A HAWK TO MAKE SURE THEY PERFORM THE MAINTENANCE YOU REQUESTED. The website says "Your Appolo Heating service technician or installer will arrive prepared with a truck that is completely stocked with all the necessary tools, equipment and materials to complete the job properly and efficiently. " We had our new A/C and heating installed in December 2020. Since then, we have had two annual maintenance appointments, first in October 2021 and second in October 2022. Both times, when I scheduled the appointment I advised the scheduler that we did want new filters (which is what Appolo told us to do - tell the scheduler when making the appointment). I was here for the October 2021. The technician arrived without filters and said nothing about them. I had to bring them up. He did not have them on the truck and had to come back that evening with them. If I hadn't brought it up they would not have been changed. My husband was here for the October 2022 appointment. He trusted the tech to perform the work we had requested. New filters were not brought and not installed. My husband assumed they were since we had scheduled for them. My bad for not checking up on them after the fiasco in October 2021. Who would have thought they would do this two years running? This month we had a problem with the A/C not blowing through the ducts, while it was freezing by the blower in the basement. After a service call I learned that the filter was very dirty and restricting airflow, which caused the problem. The filter had NOT been changed in October 2022 as I had requested. As a result of their failure to perform the maintenance we had requested, we had to pay for a service call yesterday. The technician found that they did not even have our filters in stock back at the office. Appolo is ordering them. SO - for the two scheduled annual maintenance appointments we have had since the new furnace and A/C installed, Appolo has failed to bring filters as requested - leading to us having to pay for a service call to learn that they had not brought and installed the new filter in October 2022 as we had requested in advance per their procedure. I do have to say that the technicians who installed the furnace-A/C in December 2020 were very nice, and the technician who was here on 06/02/23 was very nice and also apologetic about the situation. If they hadn't messed up the filters not once, but twice ( in effect, 100% of the scheduled maintenance appointments we have had so far), I'd give them 5 stars. Appolo fixed my furnace, and a few weeks later came for a plumbing problem. They were prompt, courteous and fixed each problem at a reasonable price. I won't go to anyone else for plumbing or heating problems. Thanks, guys. read more
