It was our first time, and both the inside and outside were a little run down. I was happy to see there was a police there to secure the parking lot. The crowd that was attracted to "family night" hardly fit the category, it looked more like "discount night." But everyone kept to their own for the most part and cooperated smoothly on the roller rink, so I had no concerns. The music was also not very family oriented. Near the end the music was toned down a bit and I saw a few more families arriving with small children which was nice to see. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. We didn't try the small arcade or any food/snacks they also sell, so I can't review those. But based off the helpful staff and our children enjoying roller skating, we will be back. Hopefully the music is a little more family friendly.

They have two fields... on with infallible barriers and another with some structures and tires stacked as barriers. A common area with tables under camo netting is your staging area. We reported to the counter to get instructions as this was our first time. We signed an online waiver and rented gear, basically a semi auto rifle and face mask. We also purchased a box of 2,000 rounds of paint. The employee felt that would cover the 3 of us. Yes, dad is playing too. After some safety instructions, most important to never remove your goggles on the field. We went to a table and loaded our rifles, set our safeties and made sure to keep the barrel sock on when not on the field. We were walk ons... there was a Birthday party and a group of grown men in matching uniforms that were practicing for a tournament the next day. We played with the other walk ons and steered clear of the paintball assassins. Each match is really 3 matches... once a side is eliminated you switch sides and go again. It's a good idea to get to know your teammates before you start as when the paint starts flying you tend to shoot anything that moves. I took out one of our teammates that was able to sneak behind enemy lines. oops. The equipment we rented was great. Luckily I had a jacket in the trunk. My son complained to me of difficulties moving his jaw and headache. I ended up taking my son to urgent care and filing a complaint with law enforcement. Mary Swanlund did nothing to protect my child and when asked to do the very least by escorting the kids off the premises, she decided to smirk and smile condescendingly, blinking her eyes without saying a word. As we were leaving, I did see the two boys laughing at my son still crying and talking about how annoyed they were that my son wanted to play with them.

Recently, the playground got a revamp. While I do miss the nostalgic charm of the old sand, I can't deny that the new design is sleek, clean, and inviting. Now, many years later, I have the joy of bringing my own child here to play. It's a special feeling to see them enjoying the same park I loved growing up, just with a fresh new look. Campus Park continues to be a welcoming, family-friendly space that holds both great memories and new ones in the making.
