We hired Bakoboy Enterprises to do a cleanup of our yard (leaf removal, mowing, weed whacking). See the pictures for reference. 2 men came to do the work. They arrived at 7 and left at 1. We received an invoice for $980. WHAT?? Turns out they charged us their hourly rate for their time to and from the shop. Which apparently added an extra two hours. And an additional $155 for vehicle mileage. These guys are fine workers, but their billing is straight up scummy. I hope I'm the only one who has this experience. Feel free to give them a try, but make sure to ask for a lot of details on their "overhead costs" first and what time they bill for. We were very unpleasantly surprised. read more

The owner texted me and provided his availability. We agreed on a date and time and on the day of our appointment he texted me to confirm when he would be there. My yard needed some heavy irrigation repair & improvement work ranging from repair of sprinkler lines broken by tree roots to improved drainage. Justin was extremely responsive to my initial inquiry. During the consultation, he provided multiple options for each issue so I could get my yard back to life and ready to sell. We don't know what we would do without Justin and the BakoBoys. Our first experience was moving a bee hive that installed itself in our block fence and repairing the fence. Now we have them bring down from the attic and put up our Christmas lights and take them down and store them each year. Pricing is reasonable and they work hard to get the task done. A word of advice, Justin and his crew are hearing impaired - communication is by looking directly at him when you talk or by texting. read more

Our previous landscaper installed a retaining wall (that just went straight and randomly ended) and toxic cherry shrubs (even though we told him we had a dog who puts everything in her mouth and eats everything!) that I didn't realize were toxic until some research a few weeks later! I contacted JP and asked about coming out and replacing our shrubs with something nontoxic to dogs - he came out to give me a quote for the shrubs and suggested fixing our randomly ending retaining wall! We loved his ideas, so JP and his team came out the next week and got to work! The new shrubs he picked are great and the retaining wall looks SO much better curved at the end!! I really liked Justin's honesty, transparency, & diligence to complete my project. There was a set back obviously with the timing of my project due to everyone high demand for projects. He installed some French doors that I bought off of someone else & he made it work even though they were slightly off measurements and my current tile was unevenly placed by previous owners. He even encountered illegal electrical wiring around the doors! I had that handled by a electrician to appropriately address it, so he can continue the project safely. I'm glad he had the knowledge that the electrical setup was unsafe & not up to code therefore needed a more appropriate professional to handle it. It was very admirable he did not take advantage of the opportunity to gain more money to "fix it". He clearly explained all my options throughout the process. I'm always down to try out small start up businesses. This one did a decent job for a fair price & i will continue to use them for my future projects as well. read more
