Hired this company to remodel our bathroom. Guy named Chad came over to take a look at our old…read morebathroom. My wife and I discussed with him the type of bathrrom that we want. He took measutrements and a couple days later came up with a quote and contract that we had to sign. Company asked for a 1k deposit and work began. At this point we have yet to receive a copy of the signed contract so I contacted the company and spoke with Porter who furnished me a copy via email for expediency per my request (hard to go through the emailed contract, however, as opposed to a hard copy). To make the story short, construction of the new bathroom was done at their estimated completion date. To our surprise, however, there was no glass enclosure. When Chad came over for the walk through and to collect the balance payment, we asked why glass enclosure was omitted. He said that's how some bathrooms are constructed, but it's not what we wanted per our initial encounter. For one thing, the old one that was torn down had glass enclosure. He replied, "Well, we satisfied the contract". We ended up paying over 31k that we thought was inclusive of the glass enclosure, but ended up hiring another company to install it. I'm partially to blame for not examining the contract closely (lesson learned), but then I'm not familiar with construction lingo. Makes me wonder why contract was not delivered promptly. There seems a lack of transparency on their part.

Hello everybody ; I…read morehired Alvaro for installing doors and wiring and both Job are faulty and he is under investigation by licensing, he has no insurance or bond to protect his customers incase he make a mess and do faulty Job! not only he did a bad Job, he put me in Financial difficulties because he didn't finish on time and finish it right , still I have to bring a contractor to remove those doors that he did overcut and his recess lighting faulty wiring which I'm working on it now which will cost me a lots to fix in addition my house was Vacant for few month and I can't rent it on time. to those trying to protect him and putting reviews, ethically they are not doing good thing to protect some one that has a bad reputation as far as his workmanship , so don't post a fake review to bring his rating up, it wont work, he is under investigation by licensing and he might get a big fine or more ! please stay away from Alvaro and his wife which is doing his contract, they are a nightmare, find some one that knows how to do the job for you guys to fullest possible. We originally hired this handyman to mount our 100-inch TV, and they did a great job, so we hired…read morethem again to install floating shelves and a farmhouse barn door in our pantry. During the project, we all agreed that only five long shelves would fit in the pantry, and the sixth shelf would go in the laundry room. We also agreed not to install the smaller shelves because there wasn't enough space. They offered a $35 discount for that change. My biggest disappointment was the barn door. It was brand new in the box, but they said it was damaged and still installed it without discussing it with us first. We were also charged the full installation price. I believe better communication and honesty would have made this a much better experience. I feel they didn't want to let us know about the damage on the door beforehand bc of job scope changed. Definitely feels like we got scammed for 6 floating shelves and holes in our walls. The work itself was good, but the lack of transparency left us with mixed feelings.

He also assured me he could also complete the finish work. He said the job would take two days, two days turned into three weeks and he never completed the job. I was unsatisfied with the mud work. I told him to send me a qualified mudder. Instead, he sent a friend who had worked as a locksmith. I called Matt to discuss a resolution. He started to avoid my calls and messages. He would come up with excuses, he said his guys were learning which he never disclosed to me, He said he had bad service, he said he would call me later, he said he had an appointment, he said he was sick. He never came out to see the final work, although I had left messages for him and told him I was concerned and unsatisfied with the work. I asked for a refund. He no longer accepted my calls or responded to me. Beware of Lugo's handyman services. Incapable and dishonest. He will take your money but not complete the job.

So I called San Joaquin Roofing to come do a repair and agreed to pay $135/man hour "port to port"…read moreplus materials. Two men were here for one hour, smeared some black gunk on the roof, couldn't tell me how much it would be, and then they sent me a $930 bill. I had to about turn into a Karen for an itemized list of costs, because I couldn't figure out how 1 hour of labor from 2 people came out to that. They are charging me for 5.88 "man hours." .88 hours for an operations manager to stop by and check on his guys, and who I do not believe stopped by because I checked my cameras. 1.32 hours for "preparing to come" and "clean up" after leaving. They were sure prepared, showing up without a flash light or step stool that I had to provide. 1.32 hours for driving to and from my house, 15 minutes from their location. So in total, about 4 "man hours" that occurred off site from my house. I've been explaining that they did not explain many of the fees nor include them in the pricing agreement, and they told me they'll send it to collections then. They don't care at all. They seem to think they can just add whatever whoever they want to their "hours" without any notice or explanation.
