I can't say enough how much I love this place! There are not enough stars to give this place the rating it deserves. Let me start off by saying I have very sensitive skin. It's very difficult to find an esthetician that knows what they are doing as well as have the equipment to back up their work. I moved to the Long Valley area about three years ago and I used to travel to Hudson county to get my facials. It was becoming a big hassle so I decided to research a few places close to home. I came across some yelp reviews of Balance and I saw the pictures of the spa. It was close to home and reviews were all positive so I gave it a try. I scheduled a massage and facial. I met Magda (She's fantastic!!!!!!) She was extremely knowledgable and knew exactly how to treat my skin. I booked another appointment and my skin has never been so clear and healthy. Because the prices are so reasonable I have scheduled facials every month (because I want to not because I was pushed to do so). I also got the contouring done on my stomach and thighs as well as a spray tan. Fabulous!! Just can't get enough of this place. I also have to mention that the receptionist Gina is a sweetheart!! (Both Magda and Gina are sweethearts!) Gina is helpful and just so pleasant to talk to and be around. So glad I decided to check out this locally owned business! It's owned/operated by a mom in town and she has created a beautiful and relaxing oasis conveniently located in the middle of town. I had the pleasure of meeting Karlee, who was professional and knowledgeable about all of the services I had questions about. I was a little apprehensive after numerous reschedules due to double bookings, thinking this place can't possibly be good if they can't even figure out a schedule. Great experience. As soon as you walk in, the atmosphere of the place just calms you. I was going into a Brazilian wax, and the vibes of the waiting room just put me in such a less nervous mood for the pain I was about to endure. I have been struggling with a breakout, clogged pores, and skin allergies for a while now and Carly saved my skin! The experience was wonderful and it is now the day after the facial and my face is healing beautifully. She was knowledgeable and informative about what I should be using on my face (as well as hair and body products that could be causing my skin to react poorly) and what she was doing during the facial and the products benefits towards my problematic skin. I personally am interested in skin health and skincare so I loved talking to her and learning more about it. After having given Balance only 1star the other day, I wanted to write another review as the owners of this business have changed my mind. The owner was also disappointed at how my initial visit went and personally called me to apologize and offer me a massage on the house. Free or full charge, the only reason I returned for another try is because if the personal attention she gave my issue. I received a gift certificate for a facial at Balance and was finally able to use it. I expected it to be fine, but it exceeded my expectations. The location is an unassuming strip mall, but they did a great job on the interior. Very pretty, very nice staff and great experience. My skin feels fabulous!! wow what a great place. my wife bought me a gift certificate for a deep tissue massage. I'm constantly on my feet working 12 hours days and I finally had time to use my gift certificate, boy was I in for a treat. Love the atmosphere of this place. You're truly transported to a completely different world when you walk through the doors. Brought my girlfriend in for a couples massage last weekend and the owner Brittany made us feel right at home. Once inside you feel like you're in the spa of a high-end hotel. The back room is perfect for a couple's massage and the champagne we brought went right on ice. After an unbelievable deep tissue massage we ended the session in the couples steam bath. It was just what the doctor ordered. I give the staff credit, you can tell they enjoy what they do and treat you like part of the family. We'll definitely go back very soon. read more
