There's also breakage from years of highlighting, and all those short pieces make a frizzy halo around my part and hairline. I used to try to tame it with a flat iron and hairspray, which just created perpetual damage and frizz. The smoothing treatment didn't change the texture of my hair or the wave, it just added smoothness and tamed the frizzy short pieces. This is my second treatment and I've seen so much improvement, growth, and reduction in breakage. My first treatment lasted 3 months.
