I had the opportunity to visit on Sunday, September 14th. Garden City Center's historic gazebo green transforms into a vibrant, open-air Farmers Market. The Farmers Market is every Sunday from May 18 through September 28 from 10 AM to 2 PM. I wandered and checked out the local vendors. There were a great variety of them. I purchased a really cute coaster from The Book Emporium RI. The Book Emporium RI sells books that are wrapped and you have a blind date with a book. I also purchased a lavender sachet from 15 Lavender Place. I spoke with the owner and she told me all of the lavender is lovingly home-grown and hand-harvested, ensuring the highest quality and care go into every product. There were soothing lavender eye pillows, relaxing neck wraps, sprays, and bundles of dried lavender. I also went to Fully Rooted to purchase two bottles of freshly pressed juices-Watermelon Slice and Golden Greens. There were also local food trucks, farm booths, and local makers. The Garden City Center Farmers Market is a market for everyone. Either if you just want to stop for coffee, get produce for the week, flowers, dog treats, see alpacas, and so much more.

The whole area feels clean and inviting, and parking is usually pretty easy. We loved taking a stroll after dinner as well. It does get a little busy sometimes, but overall it's one of my favorite places to shop and hang out.

The Warwick Mall is hosting a 2026 Winter Farmers Market on Sunday's February - May 3rd. The…read morevendors we encountered include two bakers (breads, pastry, foccia, etc) three sweets vendors (cookies, vegan cupcakes and kraffles) two local farms selling meat and eggs, a book and associated items seller, jewelry, soy candles, loose teas, spices, t-shirts, sweatshirts, personalized photo magnets, honey and more. Located in an unoccupied storefront there is plenty of space and it was almost full of vendors. The market was well attended during our visit around 11:30 with lines cueing up at some of the vendor tables. I did not see any produce vendors, and I suppose there is not much fresh veg growing in RI in February. Many of the vendors have socials accounts, websites and business cards. Definitely stop by and see if there is anything of interest. We found several vendors that would make good resources for gift giving in the future. The mall is doing well with most storefronts occupied. Rocky Point chowder house is to be opened in the food court. I look forward to that. Plenty of parking. Public restrooms near the food court and a nursing lounge near the middle of the mall.

There's a large number of stores that can be found in here, though there are more local businesses…read morethan there used to be. The mall itself has a number of seating areas along the concourse as well as a food court that features a carousel and once featured botanical carousel horses. The anchors are your average mall anchors (JC-Penny, Macy's, Old Navy, Jordan's Furniture, Target, and Golf Galaxy), but it's still a good mall nonetheless!

This is a nice open air upscale shopping center in Cranston. Several nice store here provide a nice…read moreshopping experience to visitors and locals....the most prominent businesses are Shaw's supermarket, REI, Starbucks, Chapel Grille, Panera, and Petco. Many smaller businesses are also located here like hair salons, financial services, remodeling, medical offices and more. Located across from Garden City, this creates a nice shopping destination for many. Lots of parking.

This nice shopping area in Cranston has slowly gotten a face lift in the past few years...Many…read morebusinesses have come and gone through the 80s, 90s and 2000s, but lately the new ones settling here...... as well as the ones that have been around for a long time are seeing busier traffic, both on foot and people driving in. There are many new businesses, like a Centreville Bank branch, Bertola Italian, and a restaurant called Alani's Mediterranean Bistro...many other businesses have been around for a while like the Durfee True Value hardware store, the Chinese American market, King's Garden Chinese and the US post office. Another landmark in the area is the Park Theatre. We have visited the area businesses several times and they usually go for the ethnic ones where we can get stuff that sometimes are not easy to find in other parts of metro Providence. Rolfe Square is being positioned as an art and theater district, theater district for all Rhode island residents and visitors to enjoy.

This open strip mall on Bald Hill road has some national chain stores that are widely visited. There's plenty of parking and the stores are laid out very scattered, so for some, the best thing is to drive from one store to the other. This center is also near many other businesses in Warwick so that creates a nice business nucleus for shopping within a mile or two radius.

There's an Arroga's restaurant, a Subway, a Mattress Firm and a RI Blood center as well, among many other small businesses. One of the main advantages of this mall is that is just east of I-95 so it's very easy to get on or off the highway and access this shopping center. It's also just a few minutes from RI TF Green airport.

Still, it is convenient to many since it's close to lots of stores, businesses and restaurants. Here you can find many businesses like Adlife Office, Aspen Dental, AT&T Store, Duluth Trading Company, Financial Engines, Panera Bread, Rumford Pet Express, Smashburger, Supercuts, Trader Joe's, Weight Watchers, Wild Birds Unlimited and more... I have been to the Trader Joe's, the Panera and the Wild Birds store many many times....
