The staff is very friendly and welcoming. They get to know you on a first name basis very easily. They answer the phone and there are no automated answering systems. They are helpful and caring. The vets and vet techs are smart and helpful. They have never tried to oversell me products. I have two dogs so we have a tight budget. There is no pressure and no hard sales. I trust their advice and medical care. The prices are not the most inexpensive but they line up with other vets in town. They seem to be moderate in price compared to others. There are always discounts and rebates on medicine. I use the Care Credit Card so the staff always makes sure I get the best rate. Eudora Animal Hospital is primarily a large animal hospital. There are cattle and horse pens on the side. However, I have seen all sorts of animals there. Cats, dogs of all sizes are treated there. I took my 14-year-old Morkie in for a quality-of-life appointment. He has last-stage congestive…read moreheart failure, chronic bronchitis, a heart murmur, and bladder stones. The doctor we saw was not friendly and thought he needed lots of blood work even though he just had a full blood panel 8 months ago. She came back and told me what I already knew and told her. She gave him a diuretic injection and two different meds for me to give him at home. I asked her if she thought he needed to go to heaven. I am selfish and of course, I want him around forever but I can tell he is suffering. Not even 1.5 hours later I was back up there because he had a seizure. His tongue was purple and he was in pain and crying he was so contorted. The young male veterinarian had to meet me there because they were already closed. So ER visit. He told me what was happening was very disturbing. He was essentially drowning in his own fluids because the fluid around his heart was draining into his lungs. He was very kind. He told me he would ask the office staff about charging me for the second visit (emergency visit) including another X-ray and putting him on oxygen. He also informed me I would probably have to take him to an emergency clinic about twice a week and have him placed in an oxygen chamber. He has been so bad. He is drowning I can here it. He can't breathe, he can't walk much without needing to lie down and rest. I was feeding him by hand but now he isn't eating anymore at all. I contacted my vet who treated all my dogs before moving to TX in 2019. He said he was suffering terribly. He said no one should have intervened in my decision for his life. Knowing he was suffering. I don't know what has happened to bedside manners anymore. Especially for such a young Veterinarian. I'm not sure if it is because the facility is a liability. After all, it is quite large. So charging and doing unnecessary testing and hurting an animal to pay off loans, buildings, property maybe all of the above. Now I am paying for another appointment on Monday 7/29/24 and my baby is going to heaven. He was outside earlier today to go potty and he collapsed. I'm heartbroken and less $500 dollars due to this clinic. I don't mind spending money on my babies. I have three now. I had four. I lost his brother in 2022. A compassionate veterinarian came to me to help me with him. I miss him deeply. Now I will miss both of them. I don't recommend this clinic. If I could give negative stars I would. Very sad. Heartbroken.

My first red flag should've been the fact that they had open availability when no other vet in town…read moredid but I was rushing to get my dog updated on her shots and a badly needed nail trim. The woman who took care of our pup was less than personable, the tone almost condescending through the phone and during the appointment although that wasn't the issue as I understand that some people are just like that whether they are at work or in their personal life. One of the first things this woman blurted out to 2 young kids in their 20's was "I can see some buildup on her teeth so she'll need a cleaning. That runs around $600 for anesthesia" and a list of other things in a teeth cleaning I cannot remember at this time. My dog is only three years old it's not like she's old with a huge amount of tartar buildup. There was no "I recommend this chew" or "try brushing with this toothpaste" and this was on top of the $300 some bill for her shots and other extra things that she was recommending that day. My pup requires care and i understand that will cost money but to hit us with a total of $900 in expenses in the first 5-10 minutes of our appointment left a bad taste in our mouth. I'm reading other reviews that sound like I am not the first person to feel as if they are just trying to get as much money as they can out of their patients. I canceled my next scheduled appointment and will be going elsewhere from now on.
