Returned to the store and was told that there would be no refund since it was bought on Thursday and not prepared til Saturday. Then she added that it was cut on Monday and should have been used sooner. She told me to take it with me since they didn't have a way to get rid of it. I told her it was HER problem and walked out. They turned out to be the best beef snack sticks I'd ever tried. So, the next time I was in town with my wife from Columbus, OH, I made it a point to stop by and pick up some more. Her team found out how much I liked them, and on her last visit, they got even more for her to bring home to me. The store owner (I'm guessing his name is John, though I can't say for sure) loved the story so much that he sent back a huge selection of snack sticks and summer sausage, plus a display box that now has a spot in my office. I highly recommend the regular plain snack sticks--they're my favorite. Don't sleep on the ends and pieces packaging. It's the same product, just the ends and pieces that don't make it into the pretty packaging. A great economical way to get more. Also love the old timey downtown store charm. I've never had any of the fresh meats, but I'm sure they are great. I just never really have a way to get them back home easily but next time I might just pack a cooler!
