Each time I got a new lawyer we lost a lot of momentum in my case until the defense realized this and came in for the kill. This firm cannot keep lawyers. Only one time did I find out I had a new lawyer because I was called by the owner Chris Ault the rest, I found out by calling because it had been months since I heard anything. The last lawyer I had didn't file a rebuttal by the deadline (90 days) even though he told me 3 times he would do that. Therefore, I lost my case. Since the last lawyer left, I have tried to reach Chris Ault to speak to him about this whole big mess. Apparently, he has decided I'm not worth speaking to. I also tried to email him with no response back. If I'd had one lawyer that put forth a good effort to win, I wouldn't be angry. I had a very disappointing experience with this company…read more I was initially quoted $88 per hour to attempt service of papers. Based on that representation, I scheduled a one-hour service window at a specific time and location. I was explicitly told I could not schedule more than one hour. The investigators arrived several hours earlier than the scheduled time, did not find the individual, and remained on site for three hours despite having information that the individual would not be present after a certain point. I was not contacted to approve additional time. I was later billed for three hours at $125 per hour, despite never agreeing to that rate or to extended time beyond the one hour scheduled. There was no written agreement reflecting this higher rate or the additional hours. I contacted the company to dispute the charges, but the billing was not adjusted. What I expected to be an $88 charge became a $375 bill. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this company, particularly if you need clear pricing, written confirmation of rates, or approval before additional charges are incurred.

We were running on a tight deadline due to the nature of surrogacy -with needing to have documents submitted and finalized before the egg donor could be cycled, and such- and he was great about making sure everything was done before those deadlines were near. Everything went off without a hitch, and the intended parents were overjoyed to welcome their twins into the world knowing that all of the legalities were taken care of well before the babies were born.

So, immediately after, I contacted Statewide Process Servers, sent them pictures of the court letter, and asked for a refund. I received a very rude email back stating it was my fault, and I was acting on my own behalf as my own attorney, so they weren't issuing any refund. Then I sent another request, asking if they would simply reserve the other party or correct the papers to satisfy the court. They haven't responded and it's been a while, so that must be a "no "as well. I don't think they do good business or are ethical. Then the actual lawyer never called except 20 minutes before you were due in court then it was to tell you that his law office didn't do anything that the I take promised.
