At first I was nervous that since everyone's name is displayed, I would feel insecure, however, everyone is so focused on getting THEIR OWN best workout, you soon realize the competition you are feeling is with yourself and past performances. The gym never gives you a chance to get in a rut and is alway challenging different muscle groups and fitness skills (endurance, strength, and power). Definitely give OrangeTheory a try!

I had a very disappointing experience with this location…read more I specifically requested a 6-month membership. That is exactly what I wanted to purchase, and that is exactly what I believed I was signing up for. I did not ask for a membership that would automatically continue into a 7th, 8th, 9th month, or indefinitely after the initial six months. I trusted the employee who helped me because I clearly asked for a six-month membership. Instead of making sure I understood that the agreement would automatically renew, I was simply handed paperwork at the front desk and shown where to sign. No one specifically explained that after my six months ended, my membership would continue automatically unless I canceled 30 days in advance. When I tried to cancel, I had already stopped attending for months. Instead of trying to find a reasonable solution, I was told I had to pay the outstanding balance before they would process the cancellation. Even after making the payment, I still had to go through the 30-day cancellation process. My biggest disappointment was not the contract itself, but the lack of transparency during the sign-up process and the complete lack of flexibility afterward. Every response I received simply repeated the contract instead of addressing my actual concerns. If you are considering joining this studio, read every page of the agreement carefully and ask specific questions about automatic renewal, billing, and cancellation. Do not assume that a "6-month membership" ends after six months. Because of the way I was treated as a customer throughout this experience, I cannot recommend this studio. I hope they improve their communication and transparency so future customers do not have the same experience.

After relocating to Charlotte with years of martial arts experience, I did extensive research to…read morefind a gym that realistically covers all aspects of self-defense. That search led me to Ryan Hoover and Fit to Fight--and it exceeded every expectation. This isn't just a 5-star review; it is an open letter of appreciation. Here is what sets them apart: World-Class Leadership: Ryan, Amber, and Riley Hoover are incredible, highly accessible coaches who frequently teach classes themselves. Elite, Consistent Coaching: Every single coach and Black Belt is exceptional. There is no such thing as a bad class here. Complete Combat Curriculum: They train you for reality--covering everything from de-escalation and kickboxing to grappling, street-scenario jiu-jitsu, and weapons defense. Evolving & Relevant: The curriculum updates constantly to address ever-changing, real-world threats. Inclusive Community: You will train alongside everyone from teenagers to impressive 70-year-olds in an environment where everyone knows your name. Genuine Care: They truly care about your safety, growth, and well-being.Though I recently had to relocate back to the West Coast, Fit to Fight remains the gold standard. I fully plan to return for their intensive workshops. To Ryan and the entire coaching staff: keep doing what you do. It matters.

I cant believe I have not reviewed this before. I have been going here infrequently since it opened…read moreor shortly there after. The reason for the infrequency is that it is a solid 25 min drive for me without traffic. Add in week day traffic and that turns into an hour. Otherwise, I'd be here all the time. The staff is super friendly. The bag classes are my favorite and a really tough workout. The intro classes are great as well. The first 15 mins of "warm up" is probably the toughest work out then it is on to learning basic skills. It's such a great work out and the training is great for self defense. They have another location in Gastonia if you live closer to there. I highly recommend them.

I was facing some extreme shoulder pain and limited mobility after years of weightlifting to the…read morepoint I was no longer able to do most shoulder/chest exercises. I reached out to Pr1me Movement despite living in Indiana because the advice I was getting from professionals in my area was not helping. The online skype consultation I got was more informative than anything I had heard from the physicians I dealt with in person. The stretches, and change in my movement patterns that were suggested altered the pain I felt within days. I couldn't believe how dramatically and quickly things changed. Chad understood my desire to not sit around and do nothing, and his advice allowed me to get back in the gym while at the same time not injuring myself further. After about a month of incorporating the stretches and various warmup/recovery movements he suggested I felt almost 100%, and the pain I had gotten use to feeling daily was almost entirely gone. Nearly 6 months later and I haven't felt this good in years, my strength has increased in the gym, and I still incorporate the stretching movements, and changes in my movement patterns and couldn't be happier. It was really refreshing to work with a PT who listened to my goals, and not only addressed the current pain, but why I had gotten to that point, and gave me advice on how to stop the root of the problem and prevent further injury or pain. I would highly recommend working with Pr1me Movement, and will definitely be a repeat patient if I have any other injuries/pain in the future.
