He's well mannered, witty and great with babies and young kids. When we go for a checkup I feel he is a parent first (he has 6 kids of his own) on top of a very experienced doctor. He practices at Pediatric Associates (4th floor of building 14 inside Richland Medical Park close to where Hwy 277 turns into Bull Street). The practice is spacious, well equipped and the staff is very friendly. I highly recommend Dr. Castless as your pediatric doctor.

We got called back pretty quickly but we did have a 8am appt. Colbie was so sweet and understanding. We just had moved here from out of state so naturally we were nervous about finding a new practice to go to and just got a new insurance as well. Colbie listened to my concerns about my 4yr old son who had been battling a prolonged ear infection, and answered all my questions. She got him on a different antibiotic after we had went to the ER 2X and were prescribed the same one which obviously wasn't working.. From the state we come from we've never had this kind of experience at a drs office. She took her time really cared about my sons pain in his ear and we didn't feel at all rushed. I would recommend checking this place out if you're on the lookout for a pediatrician! Scheduling appts for my other two kids now. They take CIGNA!

I paid $98 dollars for an adjustment and X-rays. X-rays I know now from my new chiropractor I did not require. It's took 2 Hours from start to finish for me to get out of this place. Something I do not have the luxury of. I've done maternity chiropractor care. And have gotten adjustments many times in the last 10 years. This may suit your needs if you are a non working person, maybe retired person or yoga mom. This is not the place if you're busy, need help in a reasonable amount of time ... I would say 45 minutes is reasonable. But this place even to go over x-rays was going to take 1.5 to 2 hours. And again they did not accept my PPO from a blue Shield. The actual adjustment was pretty solid hence the two stars.

Experience: My boys have been seeing Dr. Rice since birth and she does a tremendous job. She refers you to a specialist without hesitation to ensure all steps are taken to provide your child with the best care. Needs more kid friendly activities in the waiting area. (cartoons on T.V, toys, books) Experience: I had a scheduled appointment at 2:00 pm and was not seen until 2:40. Once I was seen I realized that the doctor's were booked with several patients. Opinion: The quality of care is more important than the idea of having to wait but if they do a better job with scheduling or hiring more providers I would definitely give this place 5 stars including more kid friendly activities in the waiting area.

My grandson had surgery on Thursday, June 11th At the Children's Hospital in Columbia SC. As you…read moreare aware the doctor always speak to the families after any procedures or surgeries. We waited in the waiting room for the surgery to be completed. As we waited, I noticed as other families procedures were done, the doctors came out and spoke to the other families about how their procedures went. Well this wasn't the case for us. My grandson's surgery was done by Dr. Janaki Emani. Dr. Emani never came out to speak to us, which I thought this was strange. We thought maybe she will speak to us when my grandson get to his room because he had to stay overnight. When we got to the room, we asked the nurse if Dr. Emani was coming by to speak to us. She replied, "didn't she spoke to the family after the surgery?" At this time the nurse looked puzzled, but didn't say anything. She stated that she would call Dr. Emani and let her know we wanted to speak to her. Hours went by and Dr. Emani never came by to speak to us. About six and a half hours later she calls my grandsons room and spoke to my daughter on the phone. My daughter asked her, if she could come to the room because she had lots of questions. At this time we didn't know what to think. Dr. Emani informed my daughter that she had already left the hospital. My heart dropped in disbelief. I have NEVER seen this type of behavior from ANY doctor after having surgery? This was the most terrible bedside manner I have ever seen from any doctor!!!! I read in several reviews that Dr. Emani did the same thing to numerous families and they stated that she had terrible bedside manner. Maybe next time I will take the reviews more seriously. But, sometimes we take a chance. I blame the hospital for this because it was brought to their attention that this doctor has done this to other families. It's obvious that NOTHING was done and the situation wasn't addressed. We are talking about innocent children. This makes me question the hospital and the safety of our children. This doctors behavior was very neglectful, insensitive, and rude. I hope this situation is addressed and it never happens again to any family!!!!

What idiot decided to group the babies with the sick adults in the ER, you have an entire…read morechildren's hospital. It sucks that this is the only children's hospital in the Columbia area. It is overflowing with sick kids and adults, tightly spaced, long waits while your precious baby has to sit next to sick adults. I recommend you drive to another city, you will get faster care and better care. I would be ashamed to work here.
