Don't order from these people! If I could give them a negative number I would. I paid $108 for balloons that arrived in the middle of my son's birthday party only to stayed up in the air for 2 hours. Learn from my mistake. I have ordered an arrangement of balloons for my son's birthday. You definitely pay a good price. For a birthday bouquet and some mylar baloons I paid $190+. When I placed the order, I was very specific and made sure that the person who took the order had everything repeated back to me. She did and I gave credit card over the phone to pay for it. When delivery arrived, the gentlemen dropped off the baloons wrapped up in a huge plastic bags. Once I took the bags off, I realized that one of the baloons was missing. I called back and asked them to repeat the order that they charged to my account. It was correct. When I told them that one of the balloons was not there, Tiffany, the owner of the store asked me to send a picture. I did. When she called back, she pretty much acccused me of lying and told me that I must have done something with the baloon. My jaw dropped and I didnt even know what to say. I figured their customer service skills need improvement and asked Tiffany to replace the baloon. She responded that it wil cost $40 for a balloon and a delivery. I pointed out that I have alredy paid for a ballon and a delivery once and feel that they should correct their mistake free of charge. Tiffany said once again that baloon was delivered and I must have accidentally popped it. Anyway, to make the story short, beware of poor customer serviceand dont be surprised if they call you a liar to your face. There are many other places to get balloons where you will be treated honestly, with respect, and you wont feel that they charged you a small fortune and spit in your face afterwards!!!!!! I ordered from them because of the Yelp reviews, but I guess you have to be part of the "in" crowd to get the kind of service the reviewers have gotten. Here is what happened to me: First, they tried to charge me an add'l $20 for 9-10am delivery when it states on their website is not additional charge for deliveries after 9am. Then they promised 10:30am delivery (party started at 11am). They called at 10:30am to tell me they were running 15 minutes behind. When they still didn't arrive at 11:30am, I called and they told me their delivery person had left the balloons with the doorman at 10:30am. I called downstairs to the doorman and they said there was no balloon delivery, so I called the Balloon Saloon back and they said the delivery person was on his way. We only live 14 blocks from them! They finally arrived around noon. Another mother at the party had used them and said that they are typically like that with their deliveries. When the balloons arrived, the strings were so knotted we spent 20 minutes untangling them to get them to float correctly. Which apparently was a waste of time since 10% of the 50 helium balloons I ordered, were on the floor by the end of the party at 2pm and the rest were on the floor by dinner time. If this were the only place you can get balloons from, just go without the balloons! They are incredibly unaccommodating. For the price of the balloons, and especially for the price of the delivery you would expect more care. I was given misinformation as to their delivery policies and their charges and after making promises based on that information so my hands were tied to the order. At order I was given new set of rules and charges after the fact- essentially it was bait and switch and I was held hostage to the new policies if I wished to keep my promises. They insist on 2 phone numbers and they won't deliver if you don't have 2 phones (good luck with my fax number, Tiffany!). They really don't care what your circumstances are, your order is all at their whim. Tiffany the manager makes sure they are unaccommodating and takes over orders half way through so that the order must be started over. The staff here are rude and not helpful at all! - Nothing different than Party City. (Same attitude) They don't answer the phone when you call. I recently placed an order with Balloon Saloon for a decorating job in Manhattan and what a major disappointment it was. The people they sent to do my party were quite rude and very sloppy and they did a totally inferior job. The decorations were nothing at all like what the company had promised, they were also very skimpy and their prices are very high, especially for what we received. I will never use this company again. Let the buyer beware. The owner is a nasty jerk and I have no clue how she even has a business. As a caregiver and mom you can figure out that I am a very PATIENCE person, but today I lost it!!!! I went to this store with my friend to make a order and it was a really unpleasant experience. This store has the worst customer service ever. The owner and employees in there need to get a dictionary and look for the definition of the word POLITE... and learn some manners because they are really rude and disrespectful. I review them with 1 star because the website don't give me the option to opt for 0 stars... So take my advice and never go shop in this store!!!!! After waiting a few minutes, I asked whether she was going to help me, and she directed me to the woman at the counter in the front with no explanation. The woman in the front of the store didn't greet me and just asked me for my address and my daughters birthday party venue details. When I asked her whether they did standard balloon table displays, she said yes and "hadn't I seen the book in the back with the balloon displays"? I said no, and she huffed and puffed her way (with me) to the back of the store to get the book. At this time, the original women said "really, I think you should look at our website for ideas/displays". Okay, I had it and walked out. Long story short, What happened to being courteous and polite? And Customer Service? Oh, did I mention this was my second time at the balloon saloon? The first time I went in I was told " really, I think you should look at our website for ideas/ balloon displays". I AM AMAZED THIS PLACE STAYS IN BUSINESS! HIGHEST PRICED BALLOONS IN NEW YORK CITY, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE and 1.5 HOUR LATE DELIVERY The most horrible customer service experience EVER. I placed the order and had the information repeated back to me twice (with the delivery time and location repeated three times). And the afternoon before before the delivery, I called again to confirm the delivery time, and I was told that the balloons will be delivered next morning by the time of the event. The delivery was an hour and thirty minutes late, throwing off the event and preparation for the event altogether. The person I spoke to on the morning of the event was incredibly rude and accused me of not having heard or understood correctly the time of the delivery! UH... WHO gets to determine the time of the event, the customer or the balloon store???!! And this staff kept repeating that they DO NOT guarantee their delivery on time! ... that they do not guarantee delivery on time. Enough said. This store is a wonderful trip down memory lane! I had the most fun walking through their store and seeing all the fun old fashioned toys they have, or classic joke sets that I just HAD to pick up for a birthday present for my brother, or seeing all their fabulous balloons!! I never knew u could create such cool balloons!! I was also on a mission to place a balloon order for my best friends surprise birthday party I was throwing, and they were all so helpful! The guys in the back helped show me and pick colors and they looked like they were all having fun working here too- I am jealous! They brought me to the ladies upfront who were extremely sweet and threw in a free happy 30th birthday balloon too!! I would recommend them for anyone looking for a great customer service experience, or to have a fun lunch break from work, playing with all the cool toys and reading all their hilarious books!! Balloon Saloon is where i love to go whenever I am looking for a fun novelty gift item. Shopping around always takes me back to my childhood with the fun old-time candies and the toys from back in the 80's (i love their smurf collection). They also offer the most incredible selection of balloons. It is my go to place whenever i need balloons for my children's birthdays and I can always find cool themed balloons to suit whatever characters my kids are in to at the moment. They are horrible, the ballon might be nice, but too expensive, and the people are totally rude. I order balloons there for my son birthday party. I asked for 100 free floating balloons and two columns, The manager tiffany was not very helpful or nice. I asked them to delivery the balloon around 11 o clock, because my the party started at 1. I swear it didn't arrived until 2 o clock. This is not how you conduct business. I was even missing some free floating balloons. We recently got balloons delivered from Balloon Saloon and they bent over backwards to get my order delivered within my very limited time frame. Their balloon bouquets were extraordinary and just amazing! The crew that set up our archway did a terrific job and they were neat and courteous. The color palette that the owner suggested was perfect and looked great and our guests were all impressed and loved the decorations. All in all, I would recommend Balloon Saloon to anyone! read more

Was going to buy some fun stuff at this store but then I saw they sold multiple Trump-themed items (and they were not "protest items"). Promoting an authoritarian leader (or even pretending neutrality) definitely disqualifies a store from being the "Most Fun Store in NYC" as they advertise on a sign outside.
