actually zero (0) star! don't go there! last friday bought like $415 of plants. so i decided to paid with credit card. when i went home checked the receipt. they charged a fee called consumer choice. therefore i called the store to ask what's that for. the lady told me it was a 4% credit card fees. then i told her nobody informed me about that. she continued saying that everyone charging that and it was the machine doing that. of course the machine doing it but people program that. this is a very bad business practice by not informing your customers. bottom line is " i got you stupid " neighborhood don't be like me! don't go there if you don't want to treat like a sucker. read more

I, like many other guys in NY, was doing last minute flower shopping and I pulled up to this spot and had my doubts because nothing ever works out for me last minute but I walked in here and fell in love! Definitely saw more things I wanted to purchase like a million more things! Just items that create great aesthetics.. I telephoned Armando at Evflorist on Wednesday. I had ordered an orchid arrangement from a greenhouse I have used in upstate New York to order orchids for my clients for over thirty years. The owner called me in the morning that she could not drive into NYC to deliver the orchids for my cousin's birthday the next day because of the snow. Immediately I called Armando at Evflorist to see if he could find some orchid plants with at least two stalks locally in time for my cousin's birthday. Armando had one gorgeous lilac orchid with only one stem in stock. I asked if he could find one more lilac orchid plant in order to make an arrangement. Armando had one more lilac orchid but would not recommend it because it was in full bloom already and would not last to partner in beauty with the other orchid. Armando suggested a floral arrangement; but I was hesitant because when I looked at flowers for my cousin's birthday in floral shops, they were frequently old and on the road to withering, as leftovers from Valentine's Day. Armando assured me that he always has fresh flowers for arrangements, even the day after Valentine's Day. He had told me at the beginning of the conversation that he was very busy with floral deadlines but would send me photos of what he had in stock later. Within minutes, Armando sent me photos of the roses, calla lillies, tulips, snapdragons and greens he had in stock. I had requested using tones of orange but was not satisfied with the colors in stock. Armando suggested using white flowers, similar to what he had created two year's before for an arrangement I requested. As always, Armando's artistic creations are unique and and infinite in their appeal. My cousin was swept away by her birthday bouquet. Not only did she rave about the gorgeous flowers and artistic arrangement, detailing each flower and green but also about the total artistic presentation. She loved the wrapping and natural twine, intertwined with ribbon to give the arrangement a total effect. She was truly swept away. I will always consult with Armando when I need flowers in NYC, not only for his artistic talent but also for his outstanding honesty and judgement. I love Armando's work! read more

Just moved to the area so was calling around regarding cost for 30 roses and while on the phone was specifically asked if a vase would be needed so it was clear there was no miscommunication regarding my request. Was provided a quote of $75 and when I went into the shop, they asked me the occasion and I explained 30th for my gf, he goes oh no, it's actually double that, it's 150. Classic bail and switch and based on reviews I honestly didn't think that would be the case. I honestly don't mind the adjusted price point but I could honestly tell the adjustment was made based on what I just explained to him and that's ultimately the reason I decided to leave and go elsewhere. read more

Reluctantly they took my order of 50 long stem roses in an arrangement to be delivered the next morning by 8am. The flowers were a special delivery for guess who, Power 105 #TheBreakFastClub. Getting the flowers there early was a top priority. Not only did Armando and his staff deliver a beautiful arrangement, they made sure the flowers arrived on time. This is a zero-star review. Literally scammers. Please refer to their other page which is "Closed" at 2 Stars over 28 reviews. East Village Florists Two days ago I stopped in shortly before a haircut appt and got some non-descript-basic-planters, the boy who was helping me goes, "this price ($24.95) includes the saucers". OK, overpriced but I'm in rush and want to support what appears to be a family owned biz. When I get home to look at the receipt and items, I see that they charged me for the saucers and that these planters are clearly marked Crate and Barrel . The identical planters online are $6.95! Today I went to get a refund. I patiently waited 5 mins while alleged owner-chatting-on-phone inspects my receipt/items stares at me and finally says, "we don't do returns or exchanges" and smuggly points to the bottom of the receipt. Nowhere near the register does it say this, this is only printed on the receipt until after the POS. I ask him to at least reimburse me for the saucers as his employee said they were included in the price. Then without pause he says "NO". I tell him that I found this unfair that the store has made it purposefully unclear that there are no refunds/exchanges until after the POS, that the items are cheaper and from Crate and Barrel, and that his employee explicitly stated the saucers are included in the planter price. Then in a patronizing manner the guy straight up CHUCKLES IN MY FACE. I let him know that I'm going to write about all this on Yelp, then he backpedals and offers me store credit. Um, NO. Why would someone want to continue business with a scammer who just laughed in their face? Disappointing and depressing business. read more

Do not be fooled by this place. I was walking past last Saturday and was lured by the pretty hanging plants they have displayed by the sidewalk. The guys outside seem pretty nice and were really helpful. I picked the plant that I wanted to buy which was $30, as there was a tag when I was looking at it. On our way to the register, I asked the guy for a discount and he smiled and said Sure! He took the plant since I wanted to look around some more. When I went back to the register, the tag in the plant was gone. The cashier said that the plant was really $35 dollars and that they're giving it to me for a discount of $30. Since the guy that I spoke with wasn't there, I just said ok fine whatever. When i finally found him, he said oh sorry and gave me free incense instead? I was too tired to argue at this point and just left. Two stars since the plants they have are actually nice but in my opinion overpriced and being sold my shady people. read more
