Not only is the ballroom at the Ben A terrific beautiful space, with the two-story balcony, pin-spotting, mood lighting, chandeliers, and good food; it has an intelligent staff that give off the impression that they will do anything to make the client happy. The maître d' named Ott seem to really know his stuff and was incredibly helpful, accommodating, and helped us relax so we could enjoy the event. I found all of the staff from start to finish at Finley catering to be very approachable and easy to work with. I have been to a lot of banquet meals before and this one did not disappoint... the Wanamaker salad was really delicious and dressed perfectly followed by short ribs and scallops that were both moist and tasty. I usually hate these kind of meals because of the mass production but somehow I was pleasantly surprised. I suggest you work closely with the chef to get what you want because it worked out great for our event. The day following our event Immediately attempted to book another event in the coming years... Apparently I'm not the only one who has discovered the great price and beautiful ambience along with great staff at the ballroom at the Ben because they were almost all booked.

OMG!! This place is the most beautiful venue I have ever seen. You don't need lots of decorations and flowers because the architecture of the ballroom stands on its own. Of course if you have gorgeous flowers that adds to it. The food at the cocktail hour was fabulous. Lamb chops, huge shrimp, mussels in individual little cups with sauce, crab claws, lobster mac and cheese, every cheese imaginable. Lobster tails yummmm. They took care of every detail so professionally. At the end of the evening they even looked under the tables to gather shoes that were left. They packed up everything for us. Honestly all the reviews talk about it being the best place in Philadelphia but if you live somewhere else definitely consider Ballroom at the Ben because it's worth the trip. We were soooo nervous. How and when and who walks down the aisle... where do we go... what do we do...? They walked us calmly through everything. Like they've done it thousands of times before and they have. And the dessert room! A separate room for dessert. They had a set up so that you could make your own s'mores. Little chocolate cups with your choice of filling. Godiva white or dark liquor, cafe patron!!! Oh my I'm making myself hungry again!

PERFECT WEDDING DAY!!! We had my daughter's wedding at Ballroom at the Ben on 1-6-19. The manager, Ott, was extremely attentive and well organized. The venue was elegant, and the food was excellent. All night our friends kept telling us that this was the nicest wedding that they had ever been to. The entire day was like a fairy tale come true!!

We recently had our wedding at the Ballroom at the Ben. Not only were the staff professional, the whole experience was more than we can ask for. We worked with Emily, our wedding coordinator and I can't thank her enough. She made the whole process so much easier. She was always there to answer any questions we had, she stayed to make sure the transition from ceremony to reception was perfect, she eased our stress and went above and beyond. Emily, you were so easy to talk to and such a pleasure to work with. I had some concerns about the food but heard nothing but good things from our guests. The staff was fun, professional, and attentive. Ott, our maitre'd ran the show! He made sure we were on schedule and really paid attention to the little details. Thank you Ben for the wedding of my dreams.

One of your only choices for huge weddings in Philadelphia. They do a wonderful job at providing a nice environment for a huge crowd.

Date of visit: October 18, 2025…read more Selections: Numerous to the point of being overwhelmed Experience: We visited this place right before we left for the airport and I regret leaving this for last because we bought so many treats that we had to reconfigured into our suitcases. This places literally had rows and rows of eateries and places to get treats, snacks, and goodies. It was pretty crowded when we went and I'm not sure if it was because it's been hyped up as a place to visit or because of the No Kings Parade that had just ended around the time that we got there. We went down each and every aisle and I had to resist the temptation to have a second lunch because of all the variety of foods offered, including Filipino food that my husband actually ended up getting food from. We mostly leaned into getting sweets from various booths to enjoy on the way to the airport/at the airport as well as ones to take home to enjoy. I wish I could've brought cheese home, but for sure it wouldn't have lasted or held well. There was a discount with parking at the Hilton if we made a purchase, but couldn't figure that out, so ended up paying full price when exiting the parking structure. Would definitely come back again to actually eat there!

One of the hallmarks of the event is that we break the attendees up in smaller groups for meetings around town. I am so glad I discovered Tomato Catering. First, the food is fresh and delicious. It has that made from scratch with love and care feel. Over the years I have ordered the Nonna's Chicken, the Fajita Bar, Chicken Marsala, the Mediterranean bar, and a bunch of their salads. Our attendees love it. As the event coordinator, the next most important thing aside from taste and quality is meeting dietary needs of our guests. The Tomato Catering team is excellent here. All of their signage is clear and their dressings are vegan and again good. Super helpful. When you speak to their team whether it's Camille at their HQ or Jan at the West Chester location who made the food, they are extremely professional, on it, and and will make sure things are clarified so you never feel worried. We were able to coordinate delivery to each of our locations and their team setup the meals beautifully. Whether you are planning a personal event or a corporate meal like I was, I would absolutely recommend Tomato Catering without any reservations. They will be my first call again next year when we host our event back in West Chester.

As soon as I opened up the adranos, I noticed the sesame seeds were super aromatic coming off the bread. The sandwich itself was delicious although I would have liked slightly more oil & vinegar. The franklin was the favorite of the 3 sandwiches we tried. The turkey was really good and I loved the bacon jam with arugula pairing. The fig pig was also good but a little heavy on the cheese. It was sweeter than the Franklin even though both had jam. The prosciutto was god tier. Really meaty and moist. While I was waiting for my sandwich I noticed 4 other people come in and order the fig pig! The cashier told me that the Franklin is one of the most popular. Service was very friendly and ingredients are fresh & high quality. Inside is small- just a counter to order with the sandwich making station behind it. There's also a small market. There were a couple of small outdoor tables which was nice. I'd come back in a heartbeat.

The prices seemed reasonable, especially for what you get.
