I grew up weaing Bally shoes as a child. In those days, there were no Bally shops in San Diego, but I remember one little store [now long gone] sold them. The shoes are extremely comfortable and soft. It should also be noted that Bally now has a full clothing line. I had received an email from the corporate division about a navy and bone knit cardigan with gold coin buttons that had caught my eye. I liked the way it was cut short like a bomber jacket---I do not like to be overwhelmed by a sweater. There used to be a Bally in San Diego---I believe it was at Fashion Valley. Now, the closest branch is at South Coast Plaza, in Costa Mesa. Accordingly, on Sunday morning I took the drive up to South Coast Plaza and arrived at Bally right when they open---11:00 am. They had the sweater and I tried it on. It looked great and I bought it. Moreover, it was marked down 40% off! I was helped with my purchase by Oscar. He was very helpful and we had a nice conversation. He is an execellent representative of the Bally brand! Bravo! read more

I have been a shopper at the SCP store(s) for years. So far back I shopped in the other location too! Lol. Anyway,.... When you read the negative responses,.... Realize that,... 1. Many places have a 2 week return OR LESS. With some goods only exchangeable IF they are unused, unopened and in original condition and are not sale items or a discounted item. 2. You need a receipt for a return. 3. Please be able to wait your turn. Even if you did a phone order or on-line order - the world does not stop inside a store the moment you walk up. Have a seat if there are any and chill. Today we went in - not expecting to buy things (well,.. I wasn't thinking of buying) but the more I looked - the happier I was. The staff was amazing and helpful and ended up filling two large bags. With the idea to swing by in another month get more stuff. When you go to Bally be sure to call ahead and ask for Mihaelia - she is awesome! Bally - if you do not know - makes very nice shoes for men and women. They make amazing purses, wallets, leather goods, amazing men's and women's luxury goods. Including clothes, hats, scarfs, as well as ready to wear luxury clothes. They have some of the best luxury leather items. Bally has been in business for many decades and has very cool stuff to buy. Remember. Returns are not forever or indefinite. Receipts must be present. Do not expect staff to issue you a refund/return on sale items or items with a discount. There are no returns or exchanges on used items. This store has ALWAYS rated high for service. I will never buy from Bally again. Not only is the online experience the worst. If you get a response, then expect it to be two weeks later...maybe. The store is so rude. When I went to pick my online Christmas order, I was told to sit down and wait in a rude manner like I was a child. " Go sit down," the salesperson told me. Then, she made me sign and didn't want me to check the item. They held on to the receipt which I did not know at the time because I did not open the bag. They later claimed they could not find the paperwork and refused to look for it ( apparently, they need it for a barcode to do a return, even though I had email proof). Unfortunately, the item is defective. Shoe is sewn wrong and so my husband can't wear them. I purchased them right before Christmas but what is not advertised is the fact that the sale has to be returned within 14 days ( even if it is a Christmas gift) and in most cases they will not refund it at all. Not even if it is defective. It was a ruined Christmas gift. I purchased shoes and a backpack and have purchased many items but will not be doing it again. We were promised by Sarah that the store manager, Michelle Richardson who would not call her salesperson back ( she was at home) or respond to the text Sarah sent to her- would call us. Did she you ask? Of course not! We have since spoke to corporate and they are taking the defective shoes back but I have not yet received a refund so I will be updating soon with that information. My wife tried to return something 14 days later and Albert, the rep would not allow the return. On the back of the sales receipt it states that they have a 14 day return policy. The manager, Nancy, was out of town, and was not reachable. We attempted to call Bally's customer service number but their mailbox was full and was unable to accept any messages. My wife decided to call her credit card company to file a dispute, and upon hearing that, Albert suddenly changed his mind and stated that he could help by letting her exchange the wallet for something else. However, any difference in price would not be refunded. How come they are willing to change their policy all of a sudden? We sent a complaint to Bally corporate, but let's see if we hear back from them. Going forth, we will never support Bally and we will go out of our way to tell our friends and family not to shop there ever again. read more

Overall a pleasant shopping experience except that the salesperson Mihaela gave us the wrong price on a bag and told us it was $100 less originally. She only corrected the price after we decided to buy two of them. When she admitted her error, she just shrugged like it was not a big deal. But she would not honor the price she told us 20 minutes earlier. We still purchased the bags spending $1500 in total, but we felt disgruntled and scammed, like she threw out a cheaper price to get us interested in the first place. We wanted to return the bags during the rest of our visit to SCP and still talk about how unethical she was. I bought a pair of shoes online from Bally (USA) two weeks before Christmas as a gift to my husband. The shoes coast was $1200.00 dollars. When the shoes arrived at my house both pairs were scratched as used (maybe for display). I called customer service right the way, somebody named Khalica (very rude by the way) answered and asked me to send her by email the picture of the shoes. After sending I received an email from her saying that they would send me another email as soon they had a RESOLUTION (just a reminder, they sent me a used shoe, wasn't my fault) but they still need a resolution. Now 3 days before Christmas I CALLED to check if there were any resolution, they said that they do not have my shoes in stock and want to offer something else, I told her that I did not want to hear. I told her that I just wanted my money back and return these used shoes. She said to use the return label that was in the shoe box and hung up on my face. Later in the day I received a rude email saying that they will refund me after receiving the shoes back. My advice to you is STAY AWAY FROM THIS BRAND. If this brand sent me a used shoes they easily would send to you too and on top of that you will have to deal with their rude customer service. read more

I missed an opportunity to buy Ferragamo shoes on sale . Bally customer service manager did not even bother to speak with me. A very arrogant Company with misleading info on web site and poor customer service. I will never visit their web site to fall into trap again. Looking for a good pair of dress shoes, I came here after I saw their store display even though I had other brands in mind. The sales associate assisting me, a younger asian guy, was very helpful and gave honest recommendations about which styles he likes and doesn't like. I did choose ask to see a pair of loafers, but when I tried them on they were extremely slippery due to their wooden bottom. Although I ended up buying from Ferragamo instead, I was impressed by the great service and the quality of their shoes, which are made in Switzerland. Bally is clearly a solid option if you're in the market for a good pair of shoes. read more

Prices are on the high end but everything is very well-made and deserving of said pricetags, unlike other brand's logoed-out crap (i.e. Gucci's $300 rubber sandals). Bally does not back their product as other brands such as Ferragamo and LV. About 6 years ago I bought 3 pairs of shoes from Bally in Ala Moana Center. One pair for me, and the other 2 for my son. The bottoms of mine fell apart ( my son's are OK). I took them back and was told that since they were purchased over a year ago, the only thing they could do is send them back to NY for re-soling, but at a cost of $300. The manager (PJ) was out, and was supposed to call me, but I was called by a sales associate with this news. I will still try to call the manager, but buyers BEWARE. read more

I am writing because I have been very frustrated with the level of customer service I've received from this store in particular. On December 27, 2015 I went into the Bally location at South Coast Plaza. I was looking at their men's shoes and found I pair that I liked for an upcoming event last weekend, 1/9/16 but I was a little unsure. When I asked for my size they said they did not have my size in the store so I took that as a sign maybe it was not meant to be. The Sales Agent convinced me that she could get them in short order and they would be shipped directly to my house. On January 5, 2016 someone called from the store saying they had the shoes in the store. I replied that I thought the shoes were being shipped to my home. She replied, "oh yes - we can do that." She said nothing else, did not say anything about how it was being shipped. Then on Thursday evening I received a notice on my door from UPS saying that they required a signature from someone over the age of 21. I spent the better part of the evening trying to change the delivery address, sign for it online or try to find a soluton - no luck. Then Friday I was at home until 11am and back by 4pm only to have missed UPS and received another notice. I called this time and spent 45 frustrating minutes on the phone with UPS and they would not do anything - their response was they will attempt re-delivery on Monday and then hold the package for 5 days before returning it to the shipper. In order to pick up the package I had to drive twice as far as the store was during "normal business hours" and they refused to return the package immediately or redirect it. So I called the store after that and was told oh yes, we always require a signature - I'm sorry we were too busy to tell you that. The sales person agreed to call UPS and try to redirect the delivery address for Monday and call me back. I thought that was acceptable. Then she called me back at the end of the evening and told me she was too busy but would call tomorrow morning and then call me back. At that point I also asked for the manager's name and to have her call me. The next day I waited all day and no one ever called so at 4:45pm I called and spoke with the assistant manager who did not listen to a word I was saying, kept interrupting me and then hung up on me. When I called back she did not answer the phone so I called from a different number and guess what - she picked up on the 2nd ring. I spoke with Nancy Perez, store manager on Monday explained why I was so very frustrated with the store and customer service. She guaranteed me that the package was redirected to my office and would be delivered today. Well surprise surprise, I happen to be home in between appointments and guess who shows up - UPS with my package, it was never redirected. I am very lucky I happen to be here. I asked about the re-directing of the package and the driver said ther was never an attempt to re-direct the package. I have bought several gifts at the Beverly Hills store and never had a problem until I went to the South Coast Plaza location. I will never shop at that store again and I don't know if I will ever buy another Bally product. Sometimes just saying I'm sorry is simply not enough and I am sure this rant and frustration of mine will go unanswered. Buyer Beware and certainly DO NOT ever buy anything that requires them to ship something to you. read more
