Awesome and convenient way to get around Baltimore!! We did a cruise event that we could take our dogs and BYOB. It was fantastic. Very clean and such a fun time! Parking is a bit tricky, make sure you get there early. Fells Point is a very busy place especially in the afternoon to evening hours.

Water taxi: 4 Out of 5 Of course we bought tickets for our first time in Baltimore. Tickets for adults were $9/ride so we opted for $22/person, which had unlimited rides over 2 days during hours of operation. More expensive than walking, but beats taking Ubers back & forth around the harbor. It looked small on the outside, but once you step inside it is a sizable amount. Easily accessible when we walked from our hotel down to the inner harbor. The water taxis have stops at the aquarium (inner harbor), Harbor East (extension of inner harbor), Fell's point (restaurants, bars/taverns, small shops, etc), Locus point (restaurants & Fort McHenry), & Federal Hill (View overlooking the downtown & parts of the city). Overall: 4 Out of 5 Why pass up the experience of enjoying the Baltimore breeze. Obviously a tourist thing to do and it is a little on the pricer side; however, in the same breath it's a great way to see plenty neighborhoods around the harbor without breaking too much of a sweat.

Enjoyable trip on a gorgeous a Wednesday evening. 6-7pm sunset water ride. Highly recommend it.

I had a blast with my family on the boat rides! The view of the city and water is just amazing! I like how the taxi can take you to several different locations. The water taxi drivers are very kind and energetic! They have patience for those coming on and off and even for those who need help with directions on where to go. There's usually plenty of room on the boats, I never felt too crowded. My favorite locations to be taken to are Fort MCchenry and Fells Point. Both places you must visit! Children get a discount and so do seniors!

I visited Baltimore last weekend over Memorial Day weekend. I decided not to rent a car and so I used public transportation (and two Ubers) over the weekend. I used the Baltimore Water Taxi once as well. It was a fun way to get across the harbor. You can buy tickets online or on board (including one way tickets). It isn't cheap (my one way ticket was $9) but it's a fun way to see the harbor and take in some water views and well as to get around if you're going no-car like I did!

Great way to see the land from water

I wish I would have taken the water taxi around Baltimore Harbor before the end of our trip. It was such a fun way to see the city. For $12, you can take the water taxi between various stops on the Harbor. We took it to Fell's Point to get to Locust Point and then from Fort McHenry back to Fell's Point for drinks before taking it to the Inner Harbor. Talk about a trip around town. On a beautiful day, there's nothing better than being on the water with the warm breeze blowing through your hair. Cheaper than a boat tour, it's transportation. Sure it's a touristy thing to do, but you have to appreciate those things like the cable cars back home in San Francisco. I really enjoyed seeing the city from the boat and all of the major businesses around the harbor. Another great thing was the book of coupons, we had already gone to most of those but used the buy one get one free coupons at a couple places that same day. Just go ahead and twist my arm with free drinks and discounts. If I would have known how fun it was to hop around the harbor by Water Taxi, I would have bought a couple day passes and seen more of the city.

Clean, efficient, great views. Good customer service. A short yet scenic ride from Fells Point to the Inner Harbor for $10. Highly recommend.

The Water Taxi is a convenient means of transit between certain popular neighborhoods/attractions in Baltimore. Offering a scenic alternative to the usual means of land transportation (public transit, Uber/Lyft, taxis, etc.), the water taxi traverses Inner Harbor between fixed points via an open boat with a capacity of 25-30 passengers. With the purchase of a $14 day pass, you can ride it as many times as your heart desires between whichever points interest you, including transfers. Although I visited Baltimore many times as a child, my recent visit to attend a conference marked the first time trying out the water taxi. I rode it round trip between Inner Harbor and Fells Point, and it was a great experience! The boats stop at the landing points at regular intervals, and you board and then pay for either a one way or all day pass on the boat. The weather was absolutely lovely during my ride, allowing me to enjoy the experience--and the scenery--to the max. The crew was friendly and there were only a few other riders, further adding to the charm of this aspect of Charm City. If you're looking to visit several of the geographically separated attractions, as well as to have the full Baltimore experience, the water taxi is the way to go. Among the attractions it serves are Inner Harbor (aquarium), Federal Hill (AVAM, Port Discovery), Fells Point (restaurants/bars), and Fort McHenry. On a nice day, you can't beat it as a way to see the city as it should be seen--from the water!

I take the marc every day to school and it really beats driving to DC and suffering through traffic on the beltway. It runs every hour and it's usually on time. I've had a few horror story situations like one time where a power line fell and I was on the train for 4 hours and my computer died and another time where I was bringing Shake Shack back from DC to my boyfriend for lunch and then there was some police incident and I was trapped in between West Baltimore and Penn Station for 30 minutes and then my boyfriend had to go to work before he could have his burger. They have a policy of not letting you out so you can walk or get a ride... In the winter, I recommend taking the train earlier than the one you think you'll need. The trains get delayed and the snow really messes everything up. They usually have trains that make extra stops during snow days, which is good. Also, now they have weekend service, which is awesome! It's not as frequent but it'll still get you to DC. The train conductors I've encountered have all been really courteous and friendly. They also don't put up with nonsense and I've seen them kick people off the train for not having tickets and they see right through all the crazy stories people tell about why they suddenly realized they don't have a ticket. One time, a man across the aisle from me was so drunk (I guess it was Friday and he was just so happy for his weekend?) that he couldn't even sit up. The train conductor made sure that the man wasn't driving home and forced him to call his wife to come give him a ride. It makes me feel safer that the conductors are looking out!

Leanna was a fantastic tour guide and she kept us entertained, laughing, and had lots of great stories to share. I've been on some ghost tours that were more history focused with less actual ghost stories, but I found this one to be a nice balance. Leanna shared some key history of the Fells Point area as we visited some historic sites like the grave of William Fell and the location of the Fell homestead. She also had plenty of stories about the hauntings and even specific buildings that experience the most paranormal activity. She even had a few personal stories of her and her past tour groups own encounters. The tour lasted about an hour and a half and was a pretty easy walking loop around Fell's Point that starts and ends at the harbor. Our group really enjoyed it and all of us agreed was one of the best ghost tours we've been on. Would highly recommend both Baltimore Ghost Tours and Leanna if you're looking for a great spooky season (or really any season) activity in Fells Point!

The Camden MARC station is right on the back end of the Light Rail - all I have to do is hop off the train in the morning, and there I am, no walking, no inconvenience. There's only two tracks, so the train will come in on one or the other. There's a small waiting room for those who don't want to freeze to death. And the conductors seem to be a lot friendlier on this line as well, so that's a plus. There are a couple of negatives that prevent this from being a 5-star review: - The Camden line itself doesn't run enough trains. There's maybe 4 or 5 in the morning, 3 at night - that's it. I'm surprised, as this line goes through Laurel, which is really heavily populated. - The Camden line runs those awful single-level cars where everyone's squished into their seats. It's rare to get a bi-level car, but when you do, there's nothing better. This line is much quieter than Penn (despite having almost as many passengers) and, in my opinion, better run. If it was convenient to me in the afternoon I'd use it (unfortunately it takes twice as long to get home), but for the morning run it's perfect - I get off at Greenbelt, transfer to the Green line on WMATA, that's it - no more fussing around at Union Station trying to fight the masses on the Red line.... Love me some Camden.
