To start, we booked tickets online. Our adventure did not sell out so they called us and rescheduled for later the same day. When we arrived, we checked in under a tent that was set up at the end of small street along the water. The tent had some pirate themed items for sale. We waited there, on some benches, until our cruise was ready. Once on the ship tattoos and nicknames were given, stories were told, songs were sung and dances danced. There were battles with pirates, water cannons, treasure to be had all will cruising the waters of downtown Baltimore. Overall, a pretty cool adventure. Urban Pirates is definitely not cheap. My son, who is 8, really enjoyed the experience. My daughter, a middle schooler, had a little less fun. But there were kids older than her on our boat that were really into it. So, like a lot of things, you'll mostly get out of Urban Pirates what you are willing to put into it. Yaaaaar!

Finally my day had come, I had earned my golden ticket into the factory! Through an associated corporation my family and I were granted access to a small tour through the factory and what a glorious day it was. The staff members were all welcoming and showered me in domino pizza jokes. Our tour guide was so knowledgable of everything going on. The factory itself was clean and free of ants and bugs. We were allowed to go onto the roof of the factory and see the Baltimore skyline from right below the famous sign. From this day forward I will never purchase another bag of sugar that doesn't have the domino sugar label on it (or refil my domino container with the Walmart brand my essential sugar, because I learned it's the same sugar!)

Ladies - you would not want to use his bathroom, which is a small pump toilet filled with his stinky, old piss laying inside the bowl. If you don't catch any fish on the day of your booking, too bad. No percentage of your money will be returned even though your payment included cleaning and filleting the fish you caught. He won't offer any discounts for future trips to entice you to come back either. He does not answer any emails you send him. If you send him something and he doesn't reply, he'll say, "Check your spam folder" and that is it. Of course, you check your spam folder and there is nothing in there from him. Oh, and he smokes cigarettes non-stop the entire trip, so if cigarette smoke blowing in your face the entire time bothers you, go find someone who will respect you and your needs.

Went for a sunset cruise for a friend's birthday on 6/29 and it was so nice. The ride is roughly 1.5hrs and you essentially loop the Potomac at Georgetown. It's BYOB, music and food so I'm just rating the views and service. There was a bathroom on board but I didn't use it. The captain was very kind and didn't bother us much outside of giving us the safety precautions and telling us to have a good time. I would definitely do this again.
