Jungle Juice
Devin V.

Super friendly service and fun atmosphere! Stopped here while waiting for a haircut down the street, and loved the açaí bowl! Only one star off because the smoothie (i got jungle juice) had a slightly off-sour taste, but maybe I just wasn't used to it! Would return

honestly this place puts playa bowls to shame.. i love supporting a small business over a chain anyway but the pink bowl is delicious! the prices are good for the size, and all the fresh fruit.

Delicious acai bowl, they also have smoothies, toasts and juice, it's a large menu with many options. The little shop is cute.

So yummy! I got the power bowl and it was so good. I've been waiting for a place like this to come to Southie for a while. The staff was extremely friendly and the place was really cute & clean. Best of luck to the new owners. I will be back for sure!

A great new juice bar with a nice menu of smoothies, juices and açaí bowls. I am addicted to the berry bowl it is so delicious and perfect for breakfast or lunch! I also love the funky monkey smoothie! They are gaining popularity fast! They have high top tables and some fun decor! A great new addition to the neighborhood!

Love coming here! Very consistent, fresh and tasty açaí bowls! My favorite it the berry bowl with added peanut butter.

BERRY BOWL This was incredible.

Smoothies and toasts are very good but this berry bowl was... bananas. Glad to see a local business take over this spot after it was vacant for so many years.

The COCO BOWL

We walked into a location that is easy to miss if you are not already familiar with the building, but once inside it functions as a convenient stop when exploring the neighborhood or looking for a quick drink break. The setup is fairly simple, with counter service and access to the shared seating throughout the mall, which gives it a bit more room to sit than a typical standalone shop. The menu is extensive and covers everything from traditional milk teas and fruit teas to some of Happy Lemon's signature cheese foam drinks. The salted cheese series remains one of the more distinctive offerings and is what helped separate the brand from many other bubble tea chains when it first expanded. The combination of sweet tea and lightly salty cheese foam sounds unusual at first, but it creates a balance that works surprisingly well. We ordered the black tea with salted cheese, and the creaminess of the foam against the bold tea base made it easy to see why this drink has built such a following over the years. Beyond the cheese series, there are plenty of options for different preferences. The taro milk tea is a popular choice, while the grapefruit green tea offers something lighter and more refreshing. We appreciated the ability to customize sweetness levels, which is worth taking advantage of since some drinks can lean sweeter than expected at the default setting. The waffle snacks are another menu item that stands out, particularly for anyone looking for something small to pair with their drink rather than ordering tea alone. They come out warm and crisp, making them a nice complement to the cold drinks. Service tends to move quickly, which is important given the steady flow of students, office workers, and shoppers passing through the area. The staff were efficient, and our order was prepared without much of a wait. Being located inside a busy downtown shopping center also makes it a convenient grab-and-go option, though the shared seating in the mall allows for a brief pause if you want to sit and enjoy your drink before heading back out. Happy Lemon remains a reliable stop for the salted cheese series and a broad menu of tea options. It is not a destination in itself, but for a quick drink while exploring Chinatown or the surrounding area, it delivers on consistency and variety without overcomplicating the experience.

It was all quite delicious although the granola was a bit to sweet for us so we'd forgo that next time. Ambiance is nice and staff is a bit confused by they try! Life Alive Organic Cafe is a plant-based café that focuses on fresh, organic meals made with…read morewholesome ingredients. While the menu is entirely vegetarian with many vegan options, it feels approachable whether you are looking for a healthy lunch, a filling dinner, or just a smoothie or coffee. We walked into the Back Bay location, which has a bright, inviting interior filled with natural light, plants, and plenty of seating, creating a calm atmosphere that feels more like a neighborhood café than a typical fast-casual restaurant. The design is modern and clean, with a warm energy that makes it the kind of place where you can enjoy a meal at your own pace, meet a friend, or even spend some time working. The grain and noodle bowls are the main reason to visit. They are built around fresh vegetables, whole grains, legumes, and flavorful sauces that make each bowl feel substantial without being overly heavy. We appreciated that every ingredient tasted fresh, and the different textures kept each bite interesting. The spicy peanut noodles are one of the standout dishes, combining chewy noodles with crisp vegetables and a rich, savory sauce that has just enough heat without overwhelming the rest of the flavors. The falafel is another solid choice, with a crispy exterior and soft interior that pairs well with the fresh vegetables and creamy sauces. Beyond the bowls, there is a good variety of options depending on what you are in the mood for. The menu includes açaí bowls, salads, wraps, soups, smoothies, fresh juices, and coffee, making it easy to stop by at almost any time of day. The menu also changes with seasonal ingredients, giving returning visits some variety while still keeping the café's focus on fresh, healthy food. Even if you are not vegetarian, the meals are filling enough that they never feel like they are missing anything. The café itself has a relaxing atmosphere that encourages you to stay a while. The modern design, abundance of plants, and comfortable seating make it feel much more welcoming than many grab-and-go lunch spots in the area. The ordering process is straightforward, and the staff were friendly throughout our visit. During busier lunch hours, food can take a little longer to prepare since everything is made to order, so keeping that in mind is worth it if you are on a tight schedule. The seating area stays comfortable even when the café fills up, and the energy of the room remains calm and focused. Life Alive Organic Cafe stands out because it proves that healthy food can still be satisfying and full of flavor. The fresh ingredients, diverse menu, and comfortable atmosphere make it an easy place to return to whether you are looking for a quick lunch, a lighter dinner, or simply a break from heavier meals. If you are in Back Bay and want a meal that feels nourishing without sacrificing taste, this is a café well worth adding to your list.

They have three tablet kiosks for self-ordering, and it's an intuitive UI, so the process was simple. Once I made my decision from their extensive list of options and combinations, it took me maybe 2 minutes from start to finish to build and submit my order. I ordered a large taro milk tea and it was everything I had hoped for. Flavorful, not too sweet, and the tapioca was a wonderful consistency. My only thing was that it was so busy and loud that the staff were unable to continuously call out when orders were complete, or you couldn't hear them. I eventually went up to the bar, noticed my drink had been sitting a few minutes, yelled over, "This is mine, thanks!!" Smiled, and then grabbed it. Beyond that? It was absolutely a great experience.
