This is another great Life Alive location, just one block from the Public Garden. Fresh, delicious, and healthy ingredients with filling portion sizes at reasonable prices. We got the Shitake Udon and the Buddha Bowl and both were great. The udon came at the perfect warm-but-not-too-hot temperature and the Buddha bowl had the perfect mix of flavors and textures. After ordering at the counter, our food came out within ten minutes. The only thing to note is that the seating area is smaller than other Life Alive locations and the tables are very close to each other. This was definitely the healthiest meal I had while in Boston. After much searching on their Instagram, I went with the autumn harvest bowl and a blue breeze smoothie. I made the mistake of making my blue breeze dirty since I didn't have coffee yet, which ruined the beautiful blue color but it still tasted good. The autumn bowl was so tasty! The Green Goddess wasn't very green, it had very little veggies compared to the amount of rice it had, and the veggies that it did have were very soggy/over-steamed. There was an abundance of undercooked, at times crunchy rice. The flavors were there, but it just wasn't the quality that I remember from years ago. Not even close. Did I just pay over $30 for this and a smoothie? Yeah. I don't know if this is how all the locations have become, but I don't know if I'll be back here. I thought this might be a fluke on my first visit but on future visits I experienced the same thing with other employees. Last time I was here, last Tuesday less than a week ago, they put WAY too much almonds and nutritional yeast on.
