Very reasonable prices, table and chair massages are both very good. Walk-ins or appointments are both welcome. And they have very long hours 7 days a week. Granted you can't really communicate with most of the Chinese massage folks, but the person at the front desk can usually translate. I have never had a more painful massage, I was sweating from how painful it was. I usually find that massage therapist will notice you tensing up or pulling away and lighten up, but she just kept going deeper, even when I asked for lighter pressure. I usually like deep pressure, but this was insane, I'm pretty sure I'll be bruised. she then used hot stones that were so hot they burned. Then when she rang me up, she told me that I hadn't tipped her enough and needed to tip higher, I tip well, but to be told to tip higher is rather crazy, tipping a certain amount shouldn't be mandatory. read more

Both my friend and I got harassed to leave a higher tip than our already paid for service and I was charged more than I had initially input as a tip. This place is the best! I've been going here for years with the same massage therapist! The quality of care is spot on. They're always patient and welcoming once you walk in the door! While I always get a table massage, I do love the variety they offer too! This place is great and you should give them a try if you're thinking about it! One thing, the walls are pretty thin so sometimes you can hear people talking and such, which doesn't bother me at all, but they also remind people to talk quietly as not to disrupt other's experiences. The prices are great. The massages are even better! The fact that you can do a chair/foot massage and/or a table massage is fantastic. Makes it easy to bring friends/family - especially those (ahem that's you, mom) that loves a foot massage but you don't want to get on a table. Their "foot" massages are luxurious and go beyond just the feet. Even with their increased prices, they are still reasonable and an easy choice vs Massage Envy or such (which I have been a member of). I would love to see them offer a monthly membership or 5 pack option for example. This is simply icing on their delicious cake though. We've gone there with a group of 5 or by myself. I've never had a problem getting a reservation and I feel like miracles happen while I'm subdued in their establishment. If you want a truly good massage and/or are used to quality massages from urban or experienced places, then go here. If you read my previous review, I like the massage. Because they give a firm and quality massage. It is something you can expect from this place. However I was annoyed when a person tried to upsell other services and lied about the bruising. This is a new year and it's time to give Bamboo Forest a try again... I am glad I did, they have not increased their price (one hour reflexology is $25 and you get more or less a full body massage.) They seem to try to improve and when I visited yesterday, there was a receptionist. Which means no more interruption to answer the phone or the doorbell during your massage (yes, it used to happen....). I'd say for $25, it is definitively worth it, knowing that you'll be in a room with others (occasional noise and talk). I also like the fact that they ask you the kind of pressure you want. As long as they stay that way (or continue to improve), I'll be glad to go back! read more

I really like this place. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the laundry soap they use is SO STRONG. It's quite overwhelming for someone with sensitivities. All of my past massages at other places, which have been numerous, never had a scent like this. I think it would be much more appropriate for them to use an unscented detergent. Fabulous $25 one hour chair massage! Please tip these guys well ($15-$20). They work hard! Everyone wears a mask. The chairs are in a shared room but I was the only one there. You start out with a nice, hot foot soak and then it gets better. You get an arm and hand massage, and then they give you the most relaxing foot massage you'll ever have. They work on your legs too so wear pants you can hike up to your knees. Then you flip to your stomach. The chair transforms into a comfy massage table. They throw a sheet on top of your back and get to work giving you a nice high pressure massage, really digging into those tight muscles in your back. This is such a treat! read more

My boyfriend and I went in today and we are AMAZED!! $25 for a hour massage!!! Wow!!! And a good one!! They focused mainly on your feet but they pretty much take care of the entire body. They start with a face and scalp massage. Move to your arms. Then start on the feet. After that they have you turn over and do your legs and back. It is truly amazing. You don't go in filling out paper work about what you want them to focus on or anything fancy at all. You go in and get what you get! I would suggest not wearing any make up. Wear loose fitting comfy clothes. No jewelry. And do not go in expecting to chat if you're going in with a friend. They do except tips. I did $15 for each of our therapist but I would suggest 10-15. Its if acupressure and massage had a baby, BAM... reflexology. The concept here is same as in CA. Most of the massage chairs are in an open space and prices for their service is very low. Thus you tip more like $10-15 for a $25 massage so they can keep their rates low for ya. So $40 for service and tip? Heck yeah. I rather pay $40 than $100 at Burke Williams. I've been going here every week for a year. I almost hate to write a review because this place is my favorite and I don't want it to be overrun. The 1 hour table massage is excellent and very affordable. The staff is friendly and seem happy to work there. They are very well trained in a specific type of Chinese massage. They all do roughly the same type. A couple of important notes: I recommend calling at least 2 hours (same day) before you want to be seen. The female masseuses are very talented, however, I find I need more intensity. I schedule with the men (Peter and Ben) for deep tissue intensity. They are really amazing. It can be rough but has really helped my muscles. The buttock muscles are part of this form of massage, so don't be surprised by that. You can wear underwear but that's it. Tip generously -- e.g., a $55 massage, I pay $75. They work really hard and deserve it. read more

Each time, I'm greeted with a smile, and treated to a very inexpensive, wonderful reflexology foot and neck massage. I am a helicopter pilot and have some megga neck issues-- and Miss Lucy did not disappoint this afternoon when she worked on my neck. I spent two years in Asia, and this is very comparable-- and the people are friendlier! I always leave feeling relaxed and rejuvenated-- and the price can't be beat. People complain about the scheduling, but I've never had a problem getting in the same day-- and have always called ahead just to avoid any issues. $25 for an hour is unheard of-- especially in Boulder County! The pressure is good and they definitely WORK on you and this is not a Swedish oil massage. I had seen this place, driven by it and heard about it several times but finally managed to get myself down here since I had some free time. Looked them up to check their hours, which are all day long...and they accept walk-ins. Went on a Friday evening around 6:30pm. Front waiting room area, where someone immediately came out and asked what I wanted, which was a 30 minute reflexology. They said it would be a 10-minute wait and gave me a cup of water to drink while I waited. The wait was actually less than 10 minutes and I was brought to a back room that had about 5 recliner type chairs, nicely spaced out, with soothing music and dim, relaxing lighting. My feet were placed in a bucket of warm water, they covered me with a thick towel and, while, my feet were soaking, the masseuse proceeded to give me a head, neck and shoulder massage! Very nice! After 10 min of this, she then moved to give me feet and legs a very thorough massage. During this, I had a eye cover placed over my eyes and she kept the towel covering me along with the leg not being massaged being covered. I used to get regular reflexology massages when I traveled to Asia regularly for work and this was comparable to those, which is how I judge reflexology massages. So many places claim to practice reflexology, but they are clearly giving simple foot massages...this massage worked my feet and I could tell the places where it was sore! And it made me sweat when she worked the places I was tight! Afterwards they give you a cup of water as well...the prices are amazing! I couldn't believe how inexpensive this place is and they could easily double their rates and it would still be very reasonable....it's my new fave place and I plan to bring my hubby here and also come regularly...no excuses since it's a 5 min drive...and I firmly believe in regular massages. I also would like to try a longer massage, maybe even a full body one. Definitely recommend if you like reflexology massages! read more

Went and had a 1 hour foot massage with my wife. I should say it's really a 30-40 minute foot massage followed by a pretty rough back massage. The foot part was AMAZING, I would give them 5 stars just for that, but the rough back finish brought it down to 4. If you go with your wife or partner you should call for an appointment as they're short staffed as they get going. I would go back in a heartbeat but only for the 30 minute foot only massage. I get there, and they tell me I need to wait 45 minutes. I asked why did you tell me to come in 10-15 minutes. She replied so I can put you on schedule later? This made no sense.
