We booked three massages here week of as there was really nothing else available and the reviews were really good! The initial impression was pretty odd tbh. There were two women who seemed to have zero idea what they were doing and were completely disorganized. First, we booked three 1.5hr massages with the understanding we could pick to have the last 30 minutes be a foot massage or a foot bath, and on the way over we had all agreed we wanted to do a foot massage, however, once we got there, they told us only one person could do the foot massage and two had to do the foot bath... so, that's what we did. Second, one of our members was pregnant and one of the girls suggested another girl who was coming in soon would be good to work on her, however, when she got in she stated she was in a weird energy state and didn't think she should be working on a pregnant person... this was honestly just a kind of odd and felt like definitely some over disclosure that we did not need to be told. Third, they had my friend and I go in the same room and do a couples massage instead of separate ones as we had assumed we had booked? It wasn't a big deal, but it was just again, odd. Once we got into the room, they didn't give us any direct at all which was rather odd. The massages themselves were actually very good and relaxing. However, I will say, there were times when it was on the verge of painful and I regret not saying anything because I actually have some bruising on my butt cheeks. One of the other people with me also said waking up the next day feeling as if she had been hurt. The foot bath we were essentially talked into and required to do, was a huge letdown. Basically, we stuck our feet in a bucket of warm water that changed colors at the end and was supposedly supposed to tell us things that were going on internally with our organs.... I'm going to go out on a limb and say this is probably the biggest scam, particularly, because while we were again under the impression this was somehow included in our 1.5hr massage, it cost an additional $45/each... read more

My massage therapist Eva was the best! She easily was able to find the areas needing a little more attention and applied the perfect pressure needed to relax the muscle. This place was amazing. My wife had a serious injury to the back of her head and neck a year ago. We have tried different doctors and therapies all over the country to try and help reduce her pain and ease her symptoms. Ryan has been the most effective at this by far. Game Changer I have had two traditional massages (w/aromatherapy) with Athena and am convinced of her healing powers! I have had many massages in my life, all fine but these are really transformative. Disappointed to say the least. Chose this place bc of so many rave reviews. To start, when we arrived, (I'll change my verbiage bc the owner seems to be very upset about it and says she *audio* recorded us and is harping on one single word that I used to explain why we all felt uncomfortable) we were very suggestively asked if we were "together." The presumptive inquiry had nothing to do w being in a couples room bc when we made our three appointments, we specifically said we don't need to be together in a room. When we answered confused, the reaction we received was very uncomfortable. More importantly, from a clinical aspect: we filled out a form that was supposed to aid in the therapists' understanding of our treatment, but it seemed like it was totally disregarded. The massage itself seemed to lack refined technique (both the unwanted western and also thai aspects), and actually made matters worse for someone else in our group. Lastly, there was a McDonald's cup that my therapist was taking sips from throughout the session, which felt very unprofessional... I love it here - for 2 hour Thai massage, this is the one where you wear their clothing and are on the floor mattress, and they stretch you while getting a massage - this works best for me and the problem spots in my back/shoulders. They do stand on you to work deeper which I also like. I was worried my first time as I just searched on yelp and there aren't that many reviews, and $150 for 2 hours is a reasonable deal -- I took a chance, got in right away by texting business, and it was great! I recently went back for the herbal ball massage and it was heavenly. $90 for 90 mins + $20 for the herbal balls (which can be used up to 4 times so save them in your freezer in between appts). The space is very quiet and cozy - they even have a meditation deck right outside that overlooks the Flatirons. This place is amazing! My boyfriend and I went here for a couples massage because I have been having horrible back pain since we purchased our house and have been doing crazy projects and lifting things that are too heavy, etc. I had Mai and he had Lily. For the record, we have NOTHING like this where we are from (I looked the second we flew back home) which is depressing. Mai had over a decade of training and it showed, she really knew where I was hurting without even having to ask. I would fly out there just for another massage from Mai, OR I would fly her here and she could stay here for as long as she likes lol I was extremely sore the next day but I now feel so much better after that soreness has gone. I've been stretching when I get up in the morning to try and help keep things loose, but I definitely need 3 or 4 more sessions with her to get myself back to 100%. The ginger tea they give you after the session was amazing and the whole experience was a complete surprise. I would recommend this to ANYONE who wants to feel exponentially better. read more

I would not recommend, to start the headrest was off and she took about 5 minutes to fix it but didn't extend my time in the massage. "Lucky" the therapist put a burning hot towel on my foot to start. I indicated the pressure was too hard at least 7 times but it didn't change. The main issue I have is that when I asked her to use less pressure she immediately was confrontational saying "you don't have any massages before, you don't know" I told her I have had plenty of different style massages including Thai but I did not want that intense of pressure. She ended the massage which felt like she was taking her nails and scratching my head very aggressively and rubbing a rough towel all over my face. read more

I'm very active, have poor sitting posture, and have been nursing some chronic pain for a while. I finally made a resolution to at least try to expel the pain after moving to Boulder. I had tried two sessions at two other places in North Boulder (the attractive 'sports massage' and 'deep tissue' methods) to no success. I was feeling some inflammation and pain in my shoulders, lower back and neck, and booked a last-minute appointment at Siam Sensation - it was probably the best decision I've made for my well-being in a long time. Service: After booking, I received a text from someone at the business letting me know that my assigned masseuse was out sick that day. Turns out I was speaking with Aey, the founder. Regardless of her team member's absence, Aey worked with me and even kept the business open past closing just to help me with my pain. She was so generous with her warmth and attention to every detail, even after working a 12h shift that day. Session: The session itself was transformative. I think it was the best massage I've ever received, and I've been to many locations across the States and Asia. It was almost as if she had a knot-detector as she pinpointed every problem area and worked through them. Enough pressure to make progress but not so much to be unpleasant - sounds simple but this is a difficult balance to achieve. Aey helped me soothe some major inflammation in my previously tense neck, and she also worked out some kinks in my shoulders and lower back. Facilities: The facilities were pristine, soothing, and just honestly a pleasure to visit. You could tell that there was a lot of love and hard work that went into raising the business to where it is today. (Tip: I advise anyone visiting to take their shoes off - this might be my Korean upbringing speaking, but it would be impolite to wear muddy shoes into a place that is kept so clean!) Prices are clearly posted.     We chose the Thai aromatherapy massage service, which uses a combination of Thai, deep tissue, Swedish and sport massage techniques.  It was the best massage I have ever had.  I'll repeat:  The BEST massage EVER.  And I have had some amazing massages at some of the most amazing spas!  However, what made this so spectacular is the depth and pressure of Mai's strokes. She punished my muscles without making it intolerable, and intuitively knew where to focus her attention. I have several incredibly stubborn knots, and they are bowing down in reverence to Mia. I LOVE this place. Aey (pronounced 'A') is the best. She is the nicest person and treats everyone with love and respect. When I moved to Boulder 3 years ago, I found this hidden gem. Ever since, I've been going at least once a month (sometimes more). The Thai massage is legit and really helps loosen up stiff joints. The table aka oil massage is great for knots and relaxation. You can have it deep and intense or however you like. The foot reflexology is super intense and I can barely handle it, but that doesnt stop me from benefiting from it. Aey is Thai and studied in Thailand. She goes back every year to brush up on her technique as well as learn new techniques. This time, she learned hand massage. It's only an hour, but the heated table and her pulling, poking, proding from finger tips to shoulder is super relaxing. I use a computer all the time and love this new service. The new office location (in the same building as before) is perfectly decorated with authentic Thai art and very welcoming. The vibe is very peaceful and relaxed. You can even purchase items like fabric, pants, purses that she has brought back from her country. With the blessings of the monks from the Denver temple and the love that Aey gives, this place is recommended for everyone. In January Mai got back from Thailand after taking a course and getting certified in Tok Sen Hammer style massage. I would highly recommend trying this type of massage if you have not done so already. Tok Sen is a unique wooden hammer(s) used with wooden wedges designed to follow specific points of the body, a rhythmic tapping is set up which creates a resonance that passes through the muscles and into the rest of the body. This method of massage helps to drive out long held tension that binds up muscles and tendons causing your body to surrender to the state of being free from stress and anxiety. Mai is quickly becoming a expert at this style of massage. Tok Sen along with Mai's caring and compassionate approach to Thai style massage is a true talent, I would suggest treating yourself to a 2 hour session and enjoy what real relaxation and peace feels like. Siam Sensations still continues to amaze me as being the premiere spa to go to. They offer a variety of Thai massage techniques depending on your needs or wants, therapeutic grade essential oils, heated massage tables, clean and comfortable rooms, soothing music, infrared sauna, high end massage chairs while getting your feet massaged, all in a peaceful, never rushed studio that is warm and inviting. Id give it 10 stars if I could! This is the first massage place my girlfriend and I have been to so we didn't know what to expect. We first walked in the building and you could smell the aromas as soon as you walked in. As soon as we opened the door a nice gentleman was quick to say hello followed by his assistant with water and hand shakes. They asked if this was our first time and we said yes so they had us fill out a form to identify what our problems were.There were multiple massages to choose from but we had no clue what they were so we just told them we wanted a full body massage lol. We both picked lower, upper back and neck/shoulder areas. You could even mark down how hard (soft, medium, hard) of a massage. I choose hard and she checked medium and we are glad we did. They had us enter the room that was very romantic and had such a mellow vibe with soft instrumental music playing. They asked us to strip to just our underwear as they left the room. About 3 minutes later they did a soft knocked and entered the room. The rest is pretty much history... I could have gone several more hours of just my shoulders and upper back, it was AMAZING, she worked nots from my back that I didn't even know existed.. They massaged our entire backside from feet to scalp and flipped us over and did the same on our front side even massaging our eyes and ears, they even added the extra benefit of stretching our hips, legs and arms. After our time ran up which was saddening lol they both said thank you and gave of plenty of time to get dressed without rushing us even thought they had other customers waiting. We both stood up like we were new borns lol. I suffer from bad posture and can't keep my back straight without my lower spine hurting and as soon as I stood up my posture was fixed like I didn't even this problem before hand. As we exit the room the gentleman had 2 nice warm ginger teas waiting for us and thanked us once again and accompanied us with snacks of our choosing. My girlfriend has a small elephant tattoo on her back and as we were discussing the massaged he approached us and gave her a nice little gemstone keychain with and elephant as a gift.
