Everything I needed to know about bamboo I learned from these folks. Their care for bamboo is amazing and their willingness to help you and save you money is really refreshing. They're usually closed on Monday, but made a run for 8 12' bamboo plants for me and I picked them up the same day! Will is so incredible, knowledgeable, and informative. The absolute Bambooru (Bamboo Guru... Yea, I made it up). After this past snow storm much of our Bamboo wall, which accounts for roughly 95% of our privacy, snapped from the weight of the snow. We were devastated thinking it would take years to get our privacy back. Will came out with tools, Bamboo food, and a plan. He helped trim it where needed, provided a full education on how Bamboo operates, and gave us hope that after implementing his plan, we will see a lot of new shoots this Spring. They're both incredibly thoughtful human beings; Extremely hard working and create unforgettable art in each area they explore and create! - With regard to the previous not so happy reviews... We should keep in mind that it was during COVID and the entire planet was trying to figure out how to best maintain work, health and family. I for one support local, family owned and operated businesses and am happy to extend grace towards others whenever possible. Especially in such a difficult time for small business owners. - My absolute favorite bamboo is the black bamboo! (I still need some in the clinic!) Very nice people but unfortunately follow through is non existent. We had agreed to a 3 times a year maintenance plan, touched base and agreed to keep it last year.. yet there was no visit in the fall as we were told there would be, I just approached them and am being told 6 weeks before they could assist and the rate as usual is very high...so much for being a "regular" client.. Bamboo maintenance is difficult and the choices are limited, they know what they are doing but someone should teach them how to run a business and follow through with long term clients vs treat them like a new client they have never talked to before. If you have no other choice but them and have plenty of money they will do good work when / if they feel like fitting you in, be prepared for long winded explanations but no practical solutions... read more

Really wanted to patronize this place, but went there on a Sunday and it was closed!! Considering they are ONLY open on weekends it is a bad way to run a business. I called the number, and the guy said it was his one weekend a year he takes to go camping as if I was bugging him. Seriously?! While I would really love to see what they have to offer I am really not impressed with their lackadaisical way of treating customers. read more

They spoke very highly of the barrier that would keep the bamboo contained along a hedge in the yard. By the next year there were shoots peeking out where they should not be. Now, 2 1/2 years later we are spending hours digging out run always. We knew that bamboo could spread like crazy, so we paid a pretty penny to make sure that didn't happen. I had gotten a free estimate for a bamboo removal and containment project from another bamboo specialist that amounted to about $1300. Because of circumstances that were no fault of their own, they were unable to follow through with the project. I then called Bamboo Oasis and had them do an estimate. It costed $200 for the estimate, which they explained would be attributed to the actual project. Their estimate was about $5000 for basically the same project. I felt insulted, and there's no way I would pay that much. Now I'm out $200 and have nothing to show for it. read more

I had a bad experience with them. Some in fighting (bickering), nickle and dimming price structure (up-selling), confrontational (you know when someone talks to you with nice words but seem like they are about to have an aneurysm), lazy work (I had to follow up to get the work complete), and just not having any value added to the service. They do know bamboo and their service should be limited to consulting perhaps. I have buyers remorse, but learned from them. I would not engage them again. read more

I have been trying to plant some privacy bamboo along my fence line for a couple months. I've called and either not been able to reach anyone or been told to call back but to no avail. I decided to stop in just before 1pm in hopes of having more success in person, at which point it was closed for lunch. I called to check and see how long I would have to wait and was told to look at the map or go to Jamba Juice for 45 min. I still have my project to do but feel it would be too much of an imposition to purchase anything from this establishment and don't have any more time to spend trying to track someone down. My new favorite place. The amazing husband and wife team we experienced were exceptional. We arrived having driven by many times. We unexpectedly had to do some late season backyard renovations needing bamboo for privacy. We were greeted by the owner himself, David. We could tell right away he is doing what he loves. Not knowing much about bamboo upon arriving, we feel like experts now. He walked us through and hand picked plants to fit our space, took the time to help us get them in our vehicle and armed us with all the soil, fertilizer and the like we could need. If you want Bamboo, there is no better place. I had no idea there were so many different types! Will is the Bamboo Whisperer. His knowledge and passion for bamboo was amazing. We ended up buying a few types of bamboo and followed his advice for potting, lighting and make sure you get their bamboo food, it last 3 years and is specific to Bamboo plants/trees! Ill keep it short, they are definitely knowledgeable guys with regard to bamboo, but their professionalism, business practices and general customer service orientation toward unhappy customers is embarrassing. We were gouged around 25% of the initial purchase when we told them we were not satisfied with the product delivered. We have a corner lot which backs up to a busy intersection with bright traffic lights. We decided that we really wanted to hide the unsightly traffic light by installing some fast growing bamboo as a privacy hedge.
