Felt a bit odd but it's alright, however, the had another opinion (example) as your ID..they asked your SIN. WHAT??!!! Who asks that? That's illegal. Unless employed or tax return, NO ONE not even job interviews or school can ask you for such information. I was skeptics and didn't sign the waiver until I get there. They are pretty lax when explaining about the waiver (actually they didn't explain at all, just said read this through ok fill it out and walked away) not rude but could be a bit more welcoming for sure. Due to Covid they are "out of items" except bottles. Fun and a decent little workout but a bit disappointed that they have nothing but bottles. I mean if you are still opened, you should still have some options. You pay $10 per person going in then you pay whatever you're bringing in or buy from them to smash. Price varies. Take about 30mins and ended pretty fast. I'm guess each "$10" is 30mins? If you finish before 30mins and want more bottles, you can go to the front desk to purchase more. Washroom is decently clean but super dark (everywhere is dark) black walls, some lights not working, and one stall wasn't work either (meaning only one stall left. Parking lot right outside though. I'd say it's really fun but with the distance, price, and the fact that's there's only bottles..I might go there after a long while. Definitely not a place I'd go often or recommend to everyone.

They gave us an extra keyboard to smash due to the delay. The PPE wasn't very protective I'd suggest wearing thicker shoes/boots. I'm still giving it three stars since it is a great idea and the price was fair due to the groupon, but I wouldn't come back to pay full price.

Then, when my staff contacted the company, not only is there a minimum charge per person, but they don't even have an office/location and, to hold the event, we would need to rent out a separate location (at our cost) to hold the event. Avoid at all costs as the service/response is piss poor and the additional fees to rent a location to hold the event is not properly disclosed on the website. Based on the quote received, a 3 hour corporate session for 10 people was between $2,350 - $2,600 depending on which "location" to hold the event, which is absolutely ludicrous given the other corporate event companies that are available.

While you can have more players on your court (which makes it great to not have to have finalized group numbers until the day of), the website wasn't clear that basically for anything more than 8, the additional players just had to pay in person instead of online. It would have been easier if the website outlined that the court is meant for x number of players to y number of players and the fee is simply for 8 people. Our group ended up having more than 8 players so we paid for the additional players at the end of our session however staff advised that the in person pricing was actually a few dollars cheaper than the online booking as you're also paying online service fees. They advised that you can simply call in to make a reservation too and staff would just take a credit card deposit for 4 players worth so that would have been a good tip to know when I called in initially..... No one in our group has tried archery tag before. Overall, we had a good and fun experience. All the protective gear is provided and the staff also utilized the first portion of the reservation to teach you and let you practice using the bow and arrow and shooting targets. Since the courts are "beaches", no shoes and socks were allowed. There was a feet washing station so crocs and a towel to dry your feet would've been good items to bring. There's a lot of running around during the game but there's a break between each game. Be sure to bring water otherwise they do offer drinks and food as well.

We will be proceeding with legal action and filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau due to the severity of the situation and the lack of action from the company. The inside is nice and clean, but quite dated, with the old school coin-op arcade machines. Staff are somewhat helpful, but you have to approach them if you need something. Otherwise they're just hiding behind the computers. The karts they have now (2014) are noticeably faster than those several years ago. According to the instruction video, these things top out at 70 km/h. Add the smooth concrete track, and it's actually quite easy to spin out. How much faster? I actually got carsick driving these things. Did not know this was possible when one is the operator of the vehicle. To save $2, bring your own DOT-approved helmet. Even though they give you a liner, their helmets are freaking DISGUSTING. You can smell them as you enter the helmet room. A good lap time here would be 29s or less. For a beginner or amateur, you'd be looking at 31s or so. There are some regulars here who eat the newbies for breakfast. You'll notice who they are when you start getting lapped. Races are a bit pricey at $35 for 4 heats (10 laps), but this is more than enough to get your karting fix.

I fell in love with the language (I also had…read morean awesome teacher, which played a big role in loving Swedish so much), so when I graduated from UBC, I wanted to continue studying Swedish. Unfortunately I was only able to complete one year of Swedish due to the timing of my graduation, and I couldn't take the second year Swedish class after I graduated because the course was only offered during the day, which interfered with having to work. However, I found out that Swedish (and the other Nordic languages) was offered at the Scandinavian Community Center, and took some classes over the years. The teacher was nice, but the quality of the instruction was nothing compared to UBC. But it was definitely better than nothing, and the price was very reasonable. The last time I took lessons at the Scandinavian Community Center was years ago, probably 2013. I'd love to take more lessons, but taking transit there is a nightmare. The community center is in the middle of nowhere, and there are two busses you can take from Metrotown Station, the #110 and #144 buses. The bus ride is quite long, 20 to 30 minutes (because they take these meandering routes), the timing is such that they arrive way before the class starts or minutes after it starts, and the two buses leave Metrotown within minutes of each other, so you miss one, and you miss both. And in the evening, the timing doesn't align with the class's end time, so you either have to leave class early or wait for half an hour in the dark, at an unlit bus stop, that's just a bus stop sign stuck in a ditch on the side of a super busy highway. Perhaps things are different than when I took lessons, but back then, to walk to and from the bus stop to the center (which was at night, as the class starts at 7pm and ends at 9pm), there was no sidewalk so you had to walk on the side of a busy highway and hope a car didn't hit you. It was particularly terrifying when it was pitch black (there was no lighting) and raining. I'd love to give the Scandinavian Community Center more stars, and I'd love to take more Swedish lessons, but the location is horrible and not reasonably transit accessible, and the instruction is only so-so, so not worth it for me to make the trek.
