I am grateful every day for Anzac Jacobs! I was referred to the office of Bamieh and DeSmeth by a friend whose son they had represented some years ago, and she was very pleased with the outcome. So thankful for the referral as there is no way we could have gone through what we did without Anzac and the whole office who were professional and kind from beginning to end. My son was facing serious charges with serious consequences. We initially met with Ron who was very direct and forthcoming about the possible outcomes of my sons situation, but he was also very kind and aware of the mental health toll of being faced with something so serious. When we left the office after that initial visit, I was confident that choosing Bamieh and DeSmeth was the right thing to do. The retainer for the case I feel was more than reasonable and am especially pleased now that I know the service that is provided within that structure. Our case was taken on by Anzac Jacobs. Anzac was always so very patient and professional. I never felt rushed or like we were just another client but that my son's case was important. Anzac and his team were very responsive and always on top of things. I can't even explain the relief that I had having Anzac and the whole team as our support. There are so many things to navigate during a criminal case that we have no clue about, and I did not have to worry about a thing. He always kept us informed, he was forthcoming with outcomes and options. He was always respectful and kind. In the beginning of the case, we were getting a lot of mail and phone calls and contact from the police and what a relief to be able to say 'contact our attorney' and then know that you didn't have to worry because it would be handled. Can't even put a price on that peace of mind. He always wanted to make sure that we understood what was happening and why. He would make sure to explain what was going to happen next. Sometimes you just can't make things go away but you can hopefully end up in a better spot than you thought you might. I was pleased that Anzac always treated my son with respect and dignity. He was fighting for my son and we were pleased with the outcome. Criminal cases are very scary to be a part of but if it's where you find yourself then I would highly recommend Anzac and this law firm to help you and fight for you to get the best outcome you can. In the end, my son ended up with the best scenario possible. I would absolutely seek the guidance of Anzac if needed in the future. Being from a family heavily enthroned in law, knowing several and working with a wide variety of Attorneys, some would say (and I'd agree) that I am somewhat cynical and can be a harsh critic of Attorneys. There are a lot of Attorneys that receive and deserve the bad rap (not to mention the Attorney jokes), that are made with regards to Attorneys. However, Bamieh & Erickson, PLC and David Ring are not those Attorneys (in my humble opinion). As a woman, I've been told that I am aggressive (confident), I come across to brash and domineering (passionate about the truth and/or my character). For me, its about character, truth and doing the right thing at whatever cost, at all times. When I came to Bamieh & Erickson, PLC and David Ring regarding a legal matter, they sat down and "listened" WITHOUT interrupting me or attempting to put words in my head. I've had experience in the field of law and I've witnessed the good, the bad and the ugly. With Bamieh & Erickson, PLC and David Ring I experienced working side-by-side (if you will) with "professional" Attorneys in order to convey a united front. If I had questions, concerns or I didn't agree with something being done, they were patient, listened to every concern and took the time to explain in "English" (if necessary) all of my concerns. They never made me feel less than they, nor like I had to do it "their" way because they were the "Attorneys" (which happens with quite a few law firms). They might have thought (my own opinion) in the beginning I was difficult, but I believe as we proceeded forward, they realized I was not only knowledgeable, but also had "their" best interest in mind at all times. They made me feel part of their team. I readily admit that Attorneys and Doctors are two professions that I'm not easily persuaded by. I DO NOT give kudos, referrals, ratings and praise that I feel is unwarranted. I have a variety of professionals that often seek my advice and trust me to guide them in the right direction. Anyone in the two mentioned professions would have had to show/prove themselves to me and to my satisfaction first in order for me to provide a referral. Finally, for me to give a rating of 5 stars to the profession of Law or Medicine would have a few of my professional friends (Attorneys included), contacting Doctors and pounding down my front door to have me drug tested and checked from head to toe. I had the pleasure of meeting Ron Bamieh for a brush with the law in 2003 I believe right after he started his law firm. I met Ron and hired him immediately. After we went back forth with the Ventura prosecutor for about 4 months my case was promptly dismissed. I have used the services of Ron Bamieh on several other occasions in the past as well. Family law, Civil law, some RE law as well. He's always available personally and when he's not the other attorneys in his firm are very helpful as well as his staff. On my last case in 2014 I was charged with 17 felonies at the Ventura Superior Court for several bogus Real estate Fraud charges. Ron never wavered, at the Preliminary hearing he had the prosecutors chief witness admitting to the court that he signed all the papers that I was being accused of signing. Everyone in that hearing after Ron interrogated that foolish witness against me KNEW HE WAS A LIAR. Their case quite went south from there. The Ventura legal system found the charges not merited and Ron marched this case to the Goal line and scored with the dismissal of every bogus felony against me. In the ballgame of life stuff happens out of left field legally to us at times. Always get the best attorney for these situations. There is no other lawyer in Southern California that I can trust or believe in more than Mr. Bamieh. He has been a great lawyer servicing all of my legal needs for the past 18 years and has always treated me more like a friend than a client. He cares about his clients, genuinely gives his best efforts, and never sugar coats the reality of any legal issue. (Response to Ron Bamieh) Please don't give people the impression you ever beat me in court. You know that's not true. Don't you? To put my comment in proper context. Here it is again. It appears you are violating attorney client privilege with your comments. In one case HIPPA law by advertising a disability that requires ongoing doctors appointments. It appears self-serving and insensitive to me. Here is my original comment: I find it disturbing the way Ron Bamieh's Law Office responded to some of the ratings he received. It appears to me to be a violation of "attorney client privilege". In one response to a young woman rating he discusses method of payment ( Bailey stated that we charged her $2500.00. This is also false. We charged her parent much less). and bring up a health issue she has in my opinion violating the HIPPA laws. Bailey E. case (our office convinced the DMV to grant Bailey a restricted license due to Bailey's medical necessity of needing to drive to her doctor). In a response to J.I. he stated (So I will be attempting to reach you personally to make sure you fully understand the services we provided), I would see this as a threat having dealt with his investigators and the people they hire. Yes I'll be more than happy to testify under oath. His response to Brita L. sounds more like a prosecutors than a defense lawyer (Brita was alleged by several police officers to have assaulted one officer by kicking him in the stomach, and it was allegedly that she had to be peppered sprayed because she had kicked out the windows of the police vehicle causing over $400 in damage to the car). Who benefits from this statement? It certainly isn't his client. Does this sound like someone who looks out for their clients? I was looking for the best lawyer in the county , I spend almost a whole week going for free consultations jumping from one lawyer to another , since my case was a very hard case to Win . After getting cold feet about this first lawyer I got , i called Mr.Bamieh one night and thank God he call me the next morning I was able to go see him for a free consultation & let me tell you when I saw him my heart knew he was the Lawyer that my family needed . Very honest , knowledgeable, kind person and professional , that night I called the old lawyer & fired him & continue my case with Mr. Bamieh and let me tell you there's not a day the goes by that I think he was my guardian angel . I went to the Law Offices of Bamieh & Erickson in mid-January of this year, a couple days after a very nasty DUI and arrest. I was a mess. Attorney Ron Bamieh accessed my situation, shook my hand and said he took it very seriously me putting my life in his hands. He was quite honest and said my offensives were state prison punishable and he would do all he could for me. Throughout the nearly 5 month process, I was kept appraised of my case all along the way, for every hearing. I did not once step foot into the courtroom. Anytime I called or emailed, Attorney Jacobs would get back to me promptly and answer any and all questions I had regarding the progress of my case. He was very honest, even when he knew it would be difficult for me to hear the truth. I sought Ron's legal services when I needed help getting a restraining order against an abusive, violent ex who was refusing to move out of my home and making my life a living hell. Ron Bamieh and everyone at the Law Offices of Bamieh and De Smeth are great people and great lawyers. I've used Mr. Bamieh for myself and for friends in need. His retainer is incredibly affordable especially considering what he saves you compared to using a sub-par lawyer. Mr. Bamieh cares about justice, truth, and anyone who's been wrongly accused or imprisoned. Personally, I believe when the DA and / or opposing counsel sees the name, "Ron Bamieh" as your lawyer, you're already a lot better off than you would be. As a former DA, his name alone carries clout and respect. Furthermore, he knows the law, he fights for what's right, and he gets results. Regarding the very few negative reviews on this platform, they seem off-base and detached from reality. If you need someone to hold your hand and tell you, "Everything is going to be A-OK," when the stark reality may be opposite, then Bamieh and De Smeth might not be for you. They're too honest for that. They'll review your case and discuss best and worst case scenarios. They don't call you every day to comfort and console you. My case was a week away from trial where I would have had a judgment against me and me being only 23 years old and naive I didn't think of asking for legal help before this point but after getting some advice from my mother-in-law I decided to reach out to an Attorney for help before it was too late Monique Fierro was the first attorney I called and she was so knowledgeable and direct with what would happen if I let this go to court and I could tell after talking to her that she wasn't just looking for another pay day but actually had genuine care for her clients so I asked her if she could work my case on the spot. If you are looking for The Best Attorney possible, I can recommend Bamieh and Ericsson. I am a Combat Disabled Veteran,who unfortunately was accused of a crime that involved 3 felonies that if convicted would have left me in prison for a long time. I was looking at loosing all of my benefits and pension I receive from the VA along with ALL my childrens college. I was facing up to 30 days jail time with heavy fines and possible probation extension, with the help of the law offices of Bamieh and Erickson my sentence was reduced to 3 days of work release. In another instance they help reduce my fines to over half the amount I was originally facing. In a third instance they spent hours of their time examining a case, and in the end when they realized there was not much they could help with they wrote an honest very professional letter explaining how it would not be beneficial to acquire their services and advised on how to approach the situation in another way. All free of charge, which was very appreciated. These guys are very honest people and will do whatever they can to help. And, if they believe they cannot help, they will tell you. Not like many firms that will take your money whether they can help or not. I know others who have acquired their services before and all have been pleased. Ron Bamieh provided excellent representation. Background on the case and difficult personalities was solicited by Ron and a defense was defined based on obviously extensive legal knowledge and insight. This led to an excellent outcome in court. In parallel, Ron's ongoing guidance helped address underlying personal issues that had led to the charges. In sharp contrast, an attorney hired for the first few days was out of touch with and uninterested in the background, out of touch with jailing and bailing events, suggested a defense that would have led to not just inferior but devastating results and was more interested in being retained at an exorbitant rate than responding to pleas to contact the personalities and learn the facts of the case and very relevant additional background. Again, this was in sharp contrast with experience with Ron. Any issues I might have with Ron's representation are likely just my problems or actually an astute presentation of the case to the court. read more

I had a difficult DUI case as I had a BAC of 0.23 upon arrest. Mr. Jacobs worked with the court system and myself to get the best possible outcome. He is extremely knowledgeable and walked me through the entire process so I could get back on the road, save my business, support my son as well learn and move on from my mistake. Mr. Jacobs also is transparent and will tell you from his experience the anticipated outcome so you have time to make arrangements to reduce the disruption to you and everyone around you. I have other attorneys on retainer for non-criminal legal representation, but I would say of all the attorneys that I have he's the swiftest and most responsive, which is what you absolutely need when you've been charged with a criminal act. I came cross an issue several years ago. I searched for an attorney who was honest and upfront. I found exactly that with Anzac Jacobs. When i first walked into his office i explained the entire scenario. He did a bit of researched right their and then. He said "i am more than confident i can help you with this matter" He offered to reimburse me in full if it didn't go the way it should. Too bad we didn't know that before we paid $50,000! Yes that's right $50,000 and John and 'Family' member Chyanna who had never and I mean never had worked on a family law case in her life, so it seemed. This was a serious case of parent custody and visitation. Eventually John stepped in because we personally had complained. And while my son (father) and myself (grandmother) sat in his office I started crying, oh John didn't like that at all and he got a bit scary and I felt as if he was going to throw me out, but I feel he thought better of it because he had to get the money. They are a money hungry family law firm, and I wouldn't recommend them at all! I really give them a zero. Also my son only got one extra day to see his son for $50,000! I need to mention that we were charged an additional $20,000 for court prep. Then, during an hour long meeting, I mentioned previously, John talked us out of it. Yet still charged us the full amount. My son's side of the story was never told, nor defended. All of this after he had previously been awarded full custody and this was mother's second attempt at unfairly 'Right A Wrong.' We never should have hired them.
