HIGHLY recommend Bammy's Hot Dogs! We love the quintessential WV hot dog with chili sauce, onions, mustard, and Cole slaw, so it was our mission to try as many as possible during our visit. I saw this one Yelp and loved that it was locally owned and focuses primarily on hot dogs and similar foods. Although they also put ketchup on their WV dogs, we opted for them without and they were by far our favorite!! Located on what appears to be a main drag of town, it's unassuming but also spacious if someone wants to sit and eat. The people who run it are super friendly, accommodating, and happy to help - something that's truly hard to come by in Florida. As for the food, it was SO good! We ordered 12 WV hot dogs, 1/2 regular and 1/2 with the Cole slaw on the side for better leftovers. Not only were they delicious, but they were happy to put the Cole slaw on the side so they made great leftovers too! We also tried the corn dogs, fries, onion rings, and fried bologna sandwich (another WV staple we are trying everywhere we can). The corn dogs were corn dogs and the fries were okay (we had gotten them for the kids), but the onion rings were very tasty and the fried bologna sandwich was amazing!! Their sauce is both slightly sweet but also has a nice kick - almost like Arby's sauce with some spice, and we all loved it! We have since tried 2 other bologna sandwiches and 3 other WV hot dogs and none have been as good as Bammy's so far! They definitely know how to do WV comfort food! Tony and I went to Bammy's to have Hot Dogs for lunch. We had one a piece plus I had Root Beer and he had a Miller Lite. He also got an order of Onion Rings which I tried and was very good!!! The hot dogs were good and Tony's only complaint was too much cheese!!! Too much cheese, who complains about too much cheese??? My hubby!! Lol read more

Came to Bammy's Chili Dogs for the first time (my hubs has become a regular since i told him how everyone talked about how good their HD's are). I got 2 buns with chili only (one spicy and one regular chili) with onion rings. The hubs got their chili dogs with toasted buns with fries. Everything was fresh and served hot. Staff was friendly and it qas very clean. It's some of the best chili I've had. Both the spicy and regular was really good. The only thing I can say is I wish they would of put a little more chili on the bun since I didn't get a hot dog. read more

Dive style hotdog joint with tasty food. We stopped in on a weekday afternoon and found the place steady but not overly busy. I hear it's a madhouse during lunch. We ordered 2 grilled bun hotdogs. One with chili and cheese, and the other WV style with Chili, slaw, and onion. While both were good, the WV style one was my favorite. The house-made coleslaw was a tad sweet but crisp, and the spicy chili had just the slightest hint of heat that would creep up after a couple bites. The buns were lightly grilled and the hotdogs themselves tasted like a standard chicken/pork mix. (If it was beef it was of the super cheap variety) I would note, that I prefer this style so it's not a bad thing in my book. The cheese fries were plentiful, nice and crispy with a generous amount of cheese. For just under $11 including drink, it's a good affordable and quick meal. I will say this, the place itself is a bit dingy and has that grease covered, haphazardly put together look, and very much a dive vibe. read more

Was talked into trying Bammy's by a co-worker and I can't be happier that he did! The food is always good, no matter if hotdogs or hamburgers. The fries are crinkle-cut and always just the right amount of crispy for me. The hotdogs bring back the nostalgia of big-league ballpark franks. The prices are good (roughly $10 for three hotdogs (any way you want them), fries and a bottle of soda. If you like hotdogs, give Bammy's a try and you won't be disappointed! read more

HOT DIGGITY DOGS! I took the family on a nice drive along the Coal River and when we got to the end at Saint Albans, West Virginia, you'll see the newly painted building with the neon sign that lets you know you've found Sammy's Chili Dogs. The owner said that it opened about a few weeks ago and they'll add things as business improves but lets not wait till then. Sammy's has a nice selection at a reasonable price, I like mine on an English Bun with the Spicy Chili, it's not hot spicy, it's just a damn good spicy. They have good choices to add from cheese, relish, slaw, jalapenos and BBQ. Nothing fried but a good variety of chips with beverages from soda to beer. Did I mention that they even have a gaming room for your entertainment. The atmosphere at twelve-thirty not new customer friendly. Considering it's lunch time. The hot dogs. Let down. For one there was not really any fixings. Barely any chilly. For the slaws an onion wasn't That was merely any either. What I did taste of the chilly was pretty good. Would loved the opportunity to at least taste the slaw. That's why I bought two. But received the bun dog with lack of chilly and slaw. Sad to know I was eating a West Virginia dog. Because I thought West Virginians are wonderful and wild. Bammas are not. read more
