Apparently there was an accident and our driver indicated that he was going to turn around and go another way, which would get us there right on the dot. However, route 2 was not panning out, as now other traffic also used that route. I emailed the company multiple times requesting if it was possible to move to next day. ZERO response. I texted the company phone number, requesting the same. ZERO response. I called before texting, no answer. I did this from the date of our reservation until into the afternoon the next day. Very, very disappointed, as their booking calendar showed availability for the following day, but no one would respond. So not only did we miss out on something fun, but we are out $250. Would not recommend whatsoever given the complete lack of communication. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

We arrived early due to our flight time and were able to leave our luggage in the lobby while we headed to the beach. By the time we sat, they had our room ready (before 1pm). Each room is designed differently/privately owned. Ours was set up nicely with a great view from the balcony and a coffee pot. Our only complaint was the cleanliness of the shower and some of the construction that was going on at the resort, especially for the price we paid even in the off season. We would stay here again next time without hesitation.

When booking you may see another similar company. Make sure you select night kayak.com with he clear boats as it will make a big difference. because of the little light pollution, clear boats and the led lights, and the neon glow sticks they give you (complimentary) we actually got to see a lot! We saw plenty of sting rays, lots of tarpin, a school of fish, and 1 sea turtle. The water was super calm, and because of it we glided through the water very easily. You will be on the water for a solid hour, sight seeing, and at the same time getting a nice history of the island from some great tour guides. Our guides were Curtis and Denning. Very charismatic guys, a fun vibe, and were very attentive to all the guests to ensure everyone was having a good time and being safe. I loved the insight and history about the island. One hour and 20 minutes was just long enough and would definitely recommend.

I was so happy to see Courtenay's review confirming that it's open. Thanks Courtenay! So, as you've probably read, it's really a historical Danish watchtower called the Skytsborg. It dates back to 1679. The legend is that Blackbeard (Edward Teach) once used this tower. There may be no evidence to prove it... but who are we to say that it never happened? It all comes together after watching the live reenactment and telling of the life of Blackbeard. It was an awesome presentation!! We had some time in between the story telling and the tour of Government Hill. There are many options to include rum tasting, shopping, dipping in the pool, and getting something to eat & drink at the bar. We decided to climb up to the top of the tower for the view. It was a cool experience! It's a beautiful view, but it took us a while to get down the stairs because no one was counting the number of people at the bottom. I counted 14 people and there were still 2 more that had to back out of the stairway to let us get down. That kind of ate up some of our time getting to the other experiences. However, we did get to walk around to see the sculptures. Overall, we had a great time! I'm mostly happy that they're open again. I'm sure it took a lot of money and work to restore it. It's still a work in progress. There will be more to come in the future. Glad we got to experience it.

The view is spectacular. Only 8 can go up at a time. Get a picture in the stocks, if you can. The rum tasting was also a treat. All varieties were good, but coconut was our favorite. The proprietors were friendly and helpful. It's a short walk to the 99 steps nearby, and down is definitely easier than up!

Quick warning though, try and book with them with something other than GetYourGuide - for some reason the app got the times wrong for every activity we booked. We arrived at 10 AM as the app stated (while having already calculated the time difference from where we're from) but once we called them we were told the tour wasn't until 1 PM. We were able to still walk through and explore Charlotte Amalie on our own a bit which was fun, but definitely see if you can book with St. Thomas Food Tours through something else. It started at the fort, and then we went to a beautiful restaurant for appetizers and bushwhackers. Then we got tea nearby with another appetizer and made our way to the main course of chicken and rice with plantains. After that we got to play bartender at a famous bar, and we made ourselves painkillers. Finally, we finished up at a gorgeous family owned restaurant for bananas foster. Adults and children enjoyed!
