I like this Banana Republic Factory store though, I must admit, I don't know the difference between BR and the BR Factory shops. Both seem to carry nice merchandise although sometimes a bit overpriced for the quality. Friends and Family special running this weekend with 50% off entire purchase. A nice selection of work clothes and a step up from Gap just down the block. Banana Republic Factory store is a good option if you live in the vicinity and need to buy something in a pinch or want to take advantage of a good sale. Came in today (5.19.24) at 11:23 (they open at 11) and the place is a mess. Clothes are not folded or in any neat display! It was impossible to find anything! I've worked in retail, the closing staff left this place in shambles & CLEARLY the opening staff showed up minutes before opening. The managers cannot think this is appropriate. Pretty cool Banana Republic factory store it's in the heart of Fulton street Mall/Downtown Brooklyn . it's literally right across from Macy's Department store and The Gap Factory store , and down the block from Raisaing Canes chicken joint , And not too far from City Point -Target & and five star Cinema movie theather , and not far from Trades joe & The RealReal store on Court Street and Juniors cheesecake and Brooklyn Paramount Theather on Flatbush Avenue. I was looking for Sandals and Lizette and William where really helpful . I'll definitively would recommended shopping here . i usually go to the Banana Republic Factory store on 34 street in Manhattan near the empire state building near Macy's flagship store . but i wouldn't mind coming back here !!!!! Banana Republic is one of my favorite stores of all time! I enjoy coming to this store often to partake of all of the various sale prices. Earlier on today, I purchased a dress....original price was 60 dollars and I got it for 20 dollars! There was a lovely jewelry sale a couple of weeks ago in which all of the pieces were 50%.off the original price! Clothing such as pants, sweaters and other signature items are sometimes reduced by 60% and 70% off and everything is of great fabric quality! I appreciate the way material feels and all of the clothes that I have purchased are so comfortable! One day, I happened to visit the store and was able to buy a pair of khaki colored casual pants for just $8.00! Some of the perfume I use was available for 50 % of the regular price! The store at this particular location is a factory outlet that is neat and well-kept. The staff seem to take great pride in ensuring that the clothing is presented in an orderly fashion. There is a great selection of items in various colors and I can usually find my size. Store is easily accessible....Such excellent customer service! read more

The Fulton Mall has nearly completed its transformation into NYC's outlet shopping area, and the installation of Banana Republic is just another sign that we're almost there. This shop has good sales, a staff that is both helpful and plentiful, and I don't think I can blame them that Banana pants fit me weird. (I think that's just straight genetics.) I think many of the items could be hung/stacked so that it was easier to see their sizes, and I would never, ever come here on a weekend if I could help it (this goes for the entire Fulton Mall), but overall, it's pretty good. There's a new Banana Republic on Fulton Street, and here are a few things you should know before you journey down there: - This is an outlet or factory store. Not a regular ol' BR. - Because it's a outlet the items are going to be different than the regular BR. There are plenty of lovely things to look at, and there are also plenty of things that will make you think "who thought that pattern was a good idea!?" - The store has fashion for both men & women. Including jewelry, undies and other misc accessories. - Discounts started at 20%, and I saw signs advertising 40%, 60% etc for a lot of items. I found a dressy tank originally $49 and took it home for $18. - There are a ton of dressing rooms. The one I stepped into was large and clean. What more could you ask for in a dressing room? - Staffers were friendly enough. The gal in the dressing room greeted me with a smile, another guy on the floor asked how I was, and while waiting in line to check out the manager wandered over and opened a cash register. Overall I felt completely comfortably in this new store. I can't say I'm a frequent shopper of the BR brand (just not my style) but this outlet is a fine addition to Fulton Street, I'll be back. read more

I have been an avid fan of Banana Republic for more than 10 years now. I basically purchase all my clothes for work here, coats, shoes, pants, the occasional tie, pretty much the works. However, a few years back when this outlet store opened up I was not too thrilled. I have previously been to the outlet in Woodbury and experienced they do not have many nice items, they are usually items you never see in a regular Banana store, they are ugly, ill-fitting, and often times, not even worth the value because the prices are marked up so high. I came here twice, but the first time I spent only a couple minutes and was looking for ideas for someone else. Yesterday, I decided to be a bit more thorough and look around, but there was nothing to my liking. The first two or three sections are for men, but the majority of the store is women's items, so maybe ladies may find this store to be more beneficial. I saw some sweaters, lots of jeans, some suits and pants (trousers and slacks) but they were marked up at a much higher price than a normal banana and they offer either 40%, 50% or even 60% off certain items, but its more of illusion because you can find better quality items in the traditional store and pay either a similar amount or less in the clearance section. Lastly, after not finding anything in here and decided to give up on the search, I saw four people attempting to make a purchase, but there was no cashier. I saw one as I entered, but I guess she left the front area to handle other affairs in the store. I did not see anyone on the floor and it was 11AM on a weekday. Hire more staff, improve your products, and maybe this outlet can be more successful. Shop at this store at your own risk... However, this 'Banana" location is more of a thumbs down read more

It's a large spacious Banana Republic Factory with great deals and pretty friendly staff. Well organized, too. It's my second favorite next to the one in Bay Ridge. This whole area surrounding is great for discount clothing shopping-- Express outlet, H&M, Century 21 ect. all in walking distance. Will be back for sure :) read more

They didn't have a lot of sizes. The most common size is a small. There's also a large petite section. I found a funnel neck sweater that was great quality and on sale for $15. I've had the sweater for a few months and it shows no wear and tear. In general, the quality is much better than the Gap Factory nearby. The clothing was well-organized and the store was clean. There was only one cashier at the register with a line of 4 people, which took some time. It was a weekday morning, so having one cashier is understandable. read more

Sometimes they don't let black people try on clothes. "You're already wearing a banana republic size large, so you know it fits!" I'm not exaggerating this happened just the other day i saw it with my own two eye holes. I wonder if Monaco or Old Navy or another one of their Bengladeshi-sweatshop-powered chop shops have similar policies or if it's just this fine location? Not gonna stick around to find out. Purchased a dress here, the selection is pretty shabby and some of the staff are indeed extremely rude as the other reviewers note. I was told that a staff member needed a counter space that I had set my coat on while getting dressed before going out in the coat, so I moved to another area and the same lady said "you can't sit there" what a way to treat customers read more

Super rude staff. Greeting was lackluster, one gentleman refused to show us a black suit jacket. "We don't have black." "We have grey"...literally had black on the other rack in multiply sizes. I sat down on the edge of a "display"..I say "display" because there was nothing on it and no one filling it. Almost immediately told "you can't sit there. You want to sit you can go sit in the dressing room." Then I was stalked by the worker making sure I wasn't sitting there. Hahaha First time here and instantly felt unwanted. The Banana Republic Factory Store is a welcome addition to Fulton Mall. It is spacious, well-organized, and immaculate, in stark contrast to the Gap Outlet across the street. The interior design/ arrangement more closely resembles that of Armani Exchange. I like the fact that I can redeem my Banana rewards and coupons on the vastly marked-down merchandise, such that a sharp and well constructed pair of dress pants wound up being free. It was also remarkably empty at lunch time on a weekday/workday in this busy area. read more

Like other customers have stated - This store has the WORST customer service!!! I would give them a minus star if I could. First, the cashier "Sharlen" allowed another customer cut in front of me for no reason, and when I asked him why he did that, he said "She was already in the store." But so was I! I just said "Fine" because I was tired and didn't feel like arguing. Then he repeated THREE times in a condescending manner - "I'm telling you, she was already here!" and I said "I heard you the first time." Then he said "It's too late for you to ask anyway because she already left. I don't know why you're asking" - in an even more rude AND condescending manner. By this point, I was starting to get upset for being treated badly for no reason from the get go, but I refrained from yelling and instead, decided to file a complaint with BR/Gap's Corporate. So I asked him for his name, and he rolled his eyes and said "I'm not giving it to you." I asked him why, and he replied "I don't feel like it." So I asked to speak with the Manager without losing my composure and remained cordial, while he continued rolling his eyes at me. I explained the situation to a manager named "Marsha", who apologized and said she'll definitely speak to him. I told her this type of customer service is totally unacceptable and uncalled for; especially when he was friendly with all other customers before me. He had no right to speak to me that way, and I don't understand how Gap/BR can hire a heinous and despicable employee like him. I will never go to a BR store again! DO NOT go to this store unless you want to be mistreated and receive the worst customer service for no reason. And for the record, this store's selections are worse than all other BR stores/ BR factory stores, so that's one more reason to not patronize this location! read more

The worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life. I will be contacting corporate. The cashier could not figure out how to ring up my purchases and she huffed and puffed and folded and then just straight up threw my purchases into the bag. She also kept telling me to not do this again. This being that I didn't have my BR credit card on me so she had to look it up. Incredibly rude and full of attitude. It took her 15 minutes to ring things up and now I think she charged me incorrectly too. Unfortunate that a horrible customer experience has been made worse because now I'll have to spend more time making sure she didn't overcharge me. I won't return ever this location. You've been warned. You can go to a location with a pattern of treating customers poorly or go somewhere else. read more

So Banana Republic opened a Factory store on Fulton Yesterday. I just had to go in I couldn't resist. The space in the store is pretty spacious. The clothing/ accessories were neat and clutter free the staff was extremely helpful. I was surprised I didn't see a mob of people in the store during their grand opening. Not quite sure when all of these stores opened and I'm not much of a downtown Brooklyn shopper, but I am a banana republic fan. The outlet offers good prices and constantly have a sale going or discount coupons via email available. I recently saw that they also accept AAA cards for discounts as well. The line is always manageable and the selection offers quality items that are good for work or play. read more

Went here on Labor Day weekend and it was packed, so I left. Came back during the week and it was empty. Was greeted at the door with a discount coupon and I already had one from a magazine, which I didn't use. Clearance was 20% off plus the coupon, so I got a really great deal on fashionable, high quality clothing. I asked an associate about sizing and she was very helpful. I'm embarrassed to say that I had a dramatic cell call and apologize to the store for that mishap. It's a pet peeve of mine when people engage in loud phone calls. This is actually a BR Factory Store, and not a regular one. So basically like an outlet, with cheaper options. They had a pretty good 50-70% off sale when I went over Thanksgiving break. Pretty good selection between men's and women's. I only picked up a few tees, but my sister got a pretty nice coat for around $80. The associates at this Banana are so incredibly helpful! Rushing to find a classy "business casual" outfit for an event the evening before, I was struggling to find the perfect ensemble. Keisha and the amazingly helpful and friendly associates working Sunday evening saved the day. Even though it was quite close to closing, Keisha patiently worked with me to find some really striking options, and I left with a beautiful outfit I can be confident in. Without their help, eye for fashion, and reassuring nature, it would have been a rough Monday morning. You can walk out of here with a ton of stuff for $100. Granted, clothing is already at an insanely high markup. And, the stuff that ends up here is free money for Banana Republic. It's this or the trash heap. BUT, nevertheless, you can get a bunch of nice stuff. Surprise--there's a Banana Republic outlet in the Fulton Street Mall. I didn't know this store existed until my recent Saturday stroll down the mall took me here. Very seasonal and preppy inside the store--since summer is fast approaching, there were many styles of shorts, dresses, and skirts. A good place to shop for work basics. Since it is a factory outlet, don't expect to find the same styles you see in traditional BR stores. The prices were great, and a lot of discounts were being offered. My one (tiny) issue was that signage was a little confusing--so I thought my shorts were discounted but when I got to the register I found out they weren't (but I bought them anyway--can't beat a good price!). Everyone I interacted with was beyond friendly, and the store wasn't crowded. Banana Republic isn't the first store on my list, but this outlet is great to have near by. read more

After just hanging in my closet, I returned a shirt that only cost $8 and change on sale but I decided that I couldn't wear it because the back was crossed and exposed too much for my conservative new job. A very rude employee at the register accused me immediately of wearing it then asked another employee if it looked worn in front of me after I said it hadn't. Made me feel like a common criminal. I don't need $8 that bad that I would return something I wore. Definitely will not return/be a customer of this store. read more

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A REVIEW I WROTE FOR THE INCORRECT FACTORY STORE LOCATION. I'M NOW COPYING, AND PASTING TO THE APPROPRIATE LOCATION. When I received the e-mail informing me that a banana republic outlet was opening near me, I was very excited. I've been shopping Banana/Gap/Piperlime for many years, and have never experienced such unsatisfactory service before. Went into the store yesterday (01/25/13), and was looking forward to the shopping experience. However, a little bit of that exciting went away when I asked for the clearance section, and was informed that there weren't any; though there is a huge sign in the window stating "TAKE AN ADDITIONAL 30% OFF CLEARANCE ITEMS*. Very misleading! I chose several items, and proceeded into the fitting room to try them on. One item was listed at 50% off, 2nd at 30% off, 3rd at 40% off, and the last at 20% off. Of the four items, I loved them all and decided to purchase them. To make sure I accurately calculated my spending, I asked the clerk to price check all the items for me. When she started scanning items, only two of the four items came up as on sale. I showed her where I got each item, and also showed her the sale stickers that can be seen plain as day. One item was a sheer button down which was indeed at original price ($44.95), the denim pants were $41.00 after the discount, the lounge pants were $27.00 after the discount, and the last one, I believe they're called the Martin fit; were supposed to be 50% off. Those rang up at original price ($55) despite me showing her the sale sign. Instead she calls her manager, who proceeds to remove the sign, telling me that thats not the color on sale it's the other one. ONE, the 50% off sign did NOT specify a color ONLY the style. TWO, the item she told me it was geared towards; the sign was no where near it. THREE, instead of apologizing and honoring THEIR mistake, she simply told me no that's not the one on sale. I left with only one of the items I had in my hand, and will be returning said item simply because I can not possibly justify spending my money at a place where marketing was so poor, and I the customer was subjected to such blatant dismissal. In addition: While in the fitting room, I needed another size in an item, and asked the associate in the fitting room if she would be able to get me the other size. She asked me what size, and told me ok she will. I stood in the fitting room waiting on her for a few minutes before opening the door to see if she was around, or if I could ask my mom to get it. When I checked, she was standing out there still holding the shirt I gave back in her hand. When I asked her for the shirt, she boldly lied to me, and told me that the size was no longer on the rack and that she had to go into the back to see if they had anymore. Knowing fully that she was lying, and did NOT attempt to even get the blouse for me, I expressed to her that when I was in the store earlier, there were several of the size that I asked for on the rack. When I came back, and picked up the shirt to try it on, there were still several of the size (XL) on the rack. She simply said ok, went back onto the floor, picked up the size that I asked for and came back with it in under a min! As to why she thought she should lie to me?? I do not know! As a new establishment, but NOT a new business, the marketing was poor, and the customer service was poor! Hopefully this business improves. I found the changing room attendant to be extremely rude. After I was done changing I gave her the clothing I didn't want to buy and she looked very annoyed and complained about how she didn't want to fold shirts all night. It made me not want to try on anything else because I didn't want to upset her. There was, however, another woman in the men's department who was very helpful and helped me pick out a great tie for my boyfriend. read more

I have been shopping at this BR outlet frequently since the location opened. I get almost all my work clothes from BR and the BR outlets, since the petite sizes are actually, well, petite and proportioned correctly. This store has a decent petites section and I am always able to find a fresh selection of clothes in small sizes. Most BR outlets have really limited number of items in small sizes but this one always seems to be well stocked, which I love! The store is clean and organized, and I have never had any problems using my email coupons here. Really glad this location exists! read more

Best Banana in the nation. Prices can't be beat, sales are unreal. Walked out of the store with two huge bags of clothing for what seems like no money compared to original prices. Everyone so nice and helpful from fitting room to check out. Wish I got fitting room attendants name she was great and HUGE shoutout to Lana and Rosalee.
