I I just have to say Angelina she's very helpful. She greeted me with a great smile and said hello. She actually recognized me. I have never been a Banana Republic fan. I always thought it was too expensive and I didn't ever seem to find anything I'd want to pay full price for. When my mom told me there was a factory store in Manteca, she literally had to drag me to go. I walked out that first time with $200 worth of clothes...and with their amazing deals, I got a TON of great stuff! It saddens me that not many know this store exists in Manteca! Today was my second visit and I found such great deals on both clothing and accessories as I did the first time. Pretty much everything has an additional discount of 40% off, if not more. There is also the option of getting an additional 10% off when you buy one of their recyclable bags for $9.50. You just have to remember to bring it in each time to get your 10% discount. Trust me, it's worth the visit. It really is sad that there aren't other stores around though. There is a Guess store across the street and a JCPennys. But the other stores are vacant. I really hope other tenants come in bc I'd hate to see this store go. Plus the staff here is always really friendly and willing to help you. The only reason I am giving it a bad rating is because customer service was bad this time . The reason why is that when I came on Black Friday everything in the store was 60% off and I even verified with the worker. Don't take me wrong they did have good customer service at the time but afterwards they didn't. Well when I bought the Coat that day , they end up telling me at the register it was only 20% off because it was "leather" . How can it possibly be 20 % when I had verified it was 60 % . Well I thought it was pricy because that didn't look like leather and I was not going to get it . Well my b.f liked it so he bought it for me . Yet , Somehow when we left inside of me told that what they over charged us. Well that same day I went online to there website and notice the same jacket was 60% off unfortunately they didn't have my size . I couldn't go back to the store because I live almost 2 hrs away . Well when I was finally able to go back a week later to let them know I was given them wrong discount and even showed them the screen shot of how much it was on Black Friday they told me they could not match prices . I returned it because I didn't think it was right I was being charged $136 when online the same day it was $68 plus and extra 20. I visited the Banana Republic today in Manteca, Ca. I was on a shopping date with my mother and sister. This is one of my mom's favorite stores, so we took her there. She found some no sleeve, slouch top blouses that she really liked. She really liked that they were 70% off, so she decided to buy one in every color. The original price was 36.99 and the sign indicated "discount taken at register." I noticed when paying that she was being overcharged for the blouses. The cashier that was assisting, said that the item was $18.00 with the discount. My mom also decided to use a credit card as she was told she would receive an additional 10% off on her purchase. This cashier was saying that the register was showing that the blouse was $18.00 with the 80% off sale. That's what the register was showing. I politely told her that easy math is half of 36 is 18. There is no way that a blouse that is 80% off of 36.99 is $18.00. She looked and just smiled at us. At that time another employee walked up. It appeared as if she could have been a manager. I am uncertain as she didn't listen to anything we were trying to explain. A line did begin to form and so we walked out without purchasing the blouses. My main concerns are the very poor customer service. No one took the time to do the calculations manually or else they would have known their system was incorrect. Both cashiers just tried to rush us out and didn't address the issue. It is evident that training is needed at this store. I know that other stores, are quick to override when their system is incorrect. In addition, they never offered to call a manager or do further research. Another concern, is anyone that purchased this item was overcharged. They may not have caught the mistake like we did. I called the 1.888.BRSTYLE after we left the store. The gentleman that I spoke with indicated that he would be reaching out to a general manager to ensure that training was given to all employees. Which is great. However, I think specifically the Manteca location needs, not only procedure training on incorrect pricing in the system, but also on customer service. My mom, sister and I all carry high positions in our places of employment. We work with resolutions on a daily basis. We give training on customer service and how to treat people. Taking the time to listen and acknowledging concerns is key. read more

The customer service here is awesome. The staff are very nice and they know there stuff. Came in today looking for a suit, never have bought a suit from BR mostly Burlington coat factory. Since I am in the automotive industry I am always on the go so I need a nice looking but durable suit. The last two suits I bought at Burlington ripped or messed up in less than a month. The quality of these suits are way better. They have a 50% off discount on these suits. I walked out with 3 suits and some shirts and ties. Anyhow since shopping at the outlets I have become a huge BR fan. This store has great sales and reasonable prices, staff is very friendly, store is huge, no long lines to try clothes on ( comparing to the Livermore outlets) Location: not many stores in this shopping strip... This review is to acknowledge the unnamed staff that assisted me on 3/2/2014 via phone around 5pm. A phone call came in from the Banana Republic Factory Store from the Livermore Outlet to have a 38R Charcoal Wool Suit shipped to a customer's home. This staff answered the phone and was SUPER helpful and friendly throughout the whole transaction. We had difficulty with the system, card information, etc, but she was still able to make the transaction happen. She quoted that I would receive the jacket in 5-7 business days. I am not sure what she did, but I received it 2 days after i ordered it. It was like she had a hook up with Amazon Prime! Last year, Banana Republic opened an account in my name without my approval. They changed my debit payment to a credit card charge. I bought quite a lot of clothes and paid with my debit card. As I was leaving to go out the door a sales person asked me if I wanted to open a credit card. I said yes and still believing that the store was using the debit card I had already paid them. They hounded for months. I swore not to even purchase anything from Banana Republic again. Just recently I again went into their store, BAD MISTAKE, and made a debit card purchase for 2 blouses. Now they are again sending me a charge for a minimum payment due 10/04/2017, for $113.04, which includes "late fees" and "interest" charges. BEWARE. They may mislead you and take advantage. Due to a return for my mother, I had to visit the Banana Republic store for the first time. So, I looked around as I waited and checked the clothing out but, the Sales reps style to treat the customers here is just like a Car Salesman style. They watch you like a hawk, nonstop and constantly ask if everything is Okay? Can they Help? Wow! Too much stress too shop here. So, I purchased a Blazer to see how they behave at register and during payment the cashier offers their Credit card constantly. The purpose of my purchase is also to check clothing quality. I buy almost all my clothes for work from Banana Republic. I LOVE the quality and fit. However, this location is terrible for customer service. They typically have two people working that I can see and no one available to open a dressing room. I like to try clothes on before I make a purchase. It's too bad because this location has a great selection but service has been poor. Recently I had to roam the entire store 4 times to find someone and she said it would be awhile as she had other customers to "deal with." I love the deals and the clothes... The service however is a joke. Every time we come here we have a bad service experience. Still today took the cake. A tall blond woman and a dark haired man both employees clearly walked around the store and passed by myself and my sister at least 5 times without so much as a hello. If that's not bad enough they had plenty of time to stand in the doorway looking outside into the parking lot making fun of other customers. After they were done taking pictures of the two young gentlemen they were mocking they proceeded to continue to ignore us. I wish I could say they were busy but there was a total of 5 other customers in the store. We went to make a purchase and one employee was ringing people up while the two other employees previously mentioned stood around until the cashier finally called for backup.
