We went to this store hoping to buy a crocs for our little granddaughter. We walked in and no greeting from the workers and when I asked for help with the crocs, the worker was so rude and pointed and said it's over there and didn't offer to ask if I needed help with the size. Very disappointed because I used to buy all of my kids and my shoes at this store but not with this experience. read more

Men: If you're looking for a white colored sneaker in 10 1/2 " wide.. I got the last one after hunting through a pile of mess and searching for the display models other shoe for 45 minutes. Amongst mixed in women's shoes in the men's shop area.Nothing in order, shoes in boxes that aren't displayed,colors in the wrong spot. Boxes of shoes lying on the floor. Total mess!!!! No wide shoes here. Advertised in stock also. No men's dress shoes or casual shoes at all in the store. Only sneakers. Pretty sad you can't stock 10 1-2 size shoes. If they sell out so fast , you need to order more plus !!! Last time I come here I'll order something online. read more

I normally don't leave reviews, but I had to mention this nice shop in Manteca. The staff is always super friendly and helpful. I like that they give you space, but also ready to show you options. I've gotten all my athletic needs, school shoes, and in a crunch last minute special occasion shoes here. The prices are very reasonable. I will continue to shop here! I went into the store today to get a pair of tennis shoes. I did get a warm greeting when I walked in. However, not once was I asked if I needed help. I asked about a few shoes and I was just told "they are over there." I waited, patiently hoping somebody would come over to help me. Unfortunately, no one did. I went to the counter to ask for some nylons to try a few shoes on. The cashier was ringing up another employee and gossiping about something irrelevant. I once again went back to look at shoes and hope to have someone assist me, but still no one came. I eventually walked to the counter to throw away the nylons they gave me and the employee was texting on her phone. It took her a minute to realize I was standing there. If I only had help I would have purchased some shoes. Needless to say, I won't be going back! read more

I have been a customer for years to famous footwear. New to the area so decided to visit this location, store in general it's good, clean nice selection and never to crowded it. But the customer service very poor unfortunately I was in today and again not a nice experience. first time I was in was in April it was closing time but I didn't know until I ask because I felt like they couldn't wait for me to leave so I figure it was closing time so I ask and the associate said yes you got 20 min but in a tone of voice like she was bother. Another person came in like 10 min after , 1 of the associates was at the door like holding it for nobody to come in anymore, the customer then asks are you guys closed ? And she respond no but you only got 5 min but she said it rude! All that time that I was in the store no one came to me to see if I need it some help, No one! And they had 3 people working just standing by the register talking. My second time around was in June probably the last week of June and I say this because there was an employee again by the registers talking with the other employee about how upset he was about working 4th of July weekend using badwords, the conversation keep on and on and I just found this very unprofessional,I wanted to get some summer shoes for a incoming trip but it seemed like they're conversation was more important than helping customers. And like they said third time it's a charm guess what ? It happened again.... I was greeted at the entrance but that's pretty much it, 2 people working the floors, didn't seen them busy, busy to at least acknowledge your customer and ask if they're looking for something, I had to ask my self for help the lady didn't turn around until the second time I call her because she was so entertained with the other person gossiping. I ask her about where was a particular size after looking for it my self and móving boxes of shoes around She just pointed and after that she Jawn! I just couldn't believe it and just laugh..... I was just irritated at this point because my third time in the store and it's always the same thing, pretty much I felt ignored . As I always say, employees it's what makes the company, your products can be great but if you don't have the right people that can bring your BUSSINES DOWN!! And that's very unfortunate, I walk out immediately after that and went to VANS and bought 3 pairs of shoes for my kiddos and my experience was totally diferent. Walked in December 10 around 1 pm and about 4 employees were standing near the entrance. One lady was speaking with a customer that was on her way out the other three were just standing there and didn't greet me or say anything to me. Smh. Terrible customer service. They all looked like they didn't want to be there. The only good review goes to the woman at the register. She was very nice and helpful! Kudos to her. The rest of the employees need to be replaced with people that actually want to be there. The lady at the register mentioned to the others that I didn't get greeted upon entering the store. When i left the store all four employee stood in silence as I walked out. There is no point of having four employees just standing there it's ridiculous.... read more

I used to shop at these stores in Philadelphia years ago. They usually had a good selection. I got a call earlier about a job interview and since my stuff is in containers, and my apartment isn't ready yet, I didn't have the right clothes, and went shopping at Target. They didn't have any shoes my size. I found this location through Yelp, and it was near Kohl's, so I could hope to find a good pair of shoes, regardless. They didn't seem to have much of a selection, but they had some Dr. Scholl's work shoes, which happened to look okay and not too dressy. The price was $61.99 on the sign for black and $59.99 for brown. I'm not sure why, but I got the black pair and they came up as $59.99. The woman at the register was the friendly, perky person who greeted me when I entered the store. She suggested that they had a deal on socks, but I already bought some. After I finished, she told me about the fireworks across the street, and mentioned that people park in the shopping center lot and walk over there, so that was a good suggestion, also. They also have a rewards card, but I don't buy enough shoes, so it wasn't worth it to me, but for a family, that would be good. read more

A zero for Kristen the store manager!!! I was just in to buy a pair of shoes that a really nice gentlemen put on hold for me. My daughter had been looking for these shoes everywhere and was happy we had found them here. As soon as we walked in to the store Kristen (which i just found out she was the manager) seemed like she was ready to go home! Like if she had checked out for the day. No greeting no "hi welcome to famous footwear"...just a "the store will be closing in 10min" it looked like she was ready to close and leave for the day. I then stand in line (there were about 4-5 people infront of me) i then thought maybe i should have my daughter see the shoes and see if those are the ones she wants while we wait in line. I walk up to kristen as she was at the door, i ask her if there was anyway she could let me see the shoes that are on hold for us behind the counter. She then says out loud in a rude voice "YOU CAN HAVE THE gentlemen give them to you". I was confused because couldnt she see that the gentlemen was so busy helping and ringing out other customers??!!! I didnt think it was fair for me to interrupt him. I didnt see why she couldnt go up and grab them from behind the counter, all she was doing was standing by the door. I asked her again "is there anyway you can let me see the shoes we have on hold?" thinking she had misunderstood me the first time or maybe finally realized she was being rude and lazy and would go get the shoes. She then again in a louder rude voice as she took a closer step at me with her wide eyes said "LIKE I SAID you can go up to the gentlemen and have him give them to you". I didnt say anything. Maybe she was having a bad day! I get to the cash register and ask who the manager was so i can speak with them regarding what just happened and i get told it was Kristen. Wow!!! I was shocked!!! I felt embarrassed for her. BUT I too am a manager (in the healthcare field) and that is no way to treat your customers. not sure who hired her as a manager but all i have to say no matter the day or time (no matter how tired we are or what personal problems we've had) you go above and beyond for your customers, for the store and for your position. You dont just pile all the work on one guy who was already doing so much and checking people out at the cash register. I suggest you have a talk with kristen and re-evaluate her position. I look forward to going in and seeing Rebecca the main main manager to talk about this matter Tuesday morning. And for Kristen, leave your personal problems out the door. if you had a long day (who doesnt) ask to go home early so that you arent rude to your customers. They dont deserve to be treated the way i was. I wonder how many more get this awful treatment from you. Maybe you should step down from your position as its getting to you (who knows) but again i will be in Tuesday morning! read more

This guy Derek at famous footwear in manteca was a terrible help, he asked me if I wanted help and I replied, Yes please and he just ignored what I said so I started going through the boxes and then he comes over and tells me that's is not the color of that box for this shoe. And how am I supposed to know what box is which. And then he told me he didn't know how to cash the check, he told me it wouldn't go through. THEN he accused me of not having enough money in the bank. I have never been so insulted ! I have NEVER HAD a problem with my banking and have some clerk insinuate I was some type of low life. read more
