We usually shop at the Stockton store but they've been closed for a while now and the boy was jonesing for a Vans fix! Lol This is an outlet store so you're probably not going to find the most current styles but the basics don't change much anyway. And my son found 2 pairs for the price of one and since he's a working man now he was happy! Hahaha! Staff was friendly and courteous and the store was neat and organized. This Vans Outlet was good before but We walked in and the place was a mess with no organization. The staff is even worse. We asked one person for a size and it took 15 minutes for a no. And the problem is that the person we asked didn't even bother looking for us. We had to look for him. I found another shoe and asked the same guy but after another 10 minutes with no answer I asked another person. This person took even longer. Had to search for him too and found him folding the clothes and talking. The response again was a no. We left and on our way out got some pretty bad attitude from one of the other workers. She was quite rude and sassy. You are better off shopping somewhere else. read more

These people are unexpectedly friendly and helpful and they don't judge. It's funny that about a month ago, I was in New Jersey at a skate shop. I had no intention of buying anything but talked to the owner quite a bit. Fast forward to a week ago Sunday, and I was photographing skaters and riders at the new Lathrop Generations Center skate park. I've been getting up the nerve to go into the bowl to get the shots that just can't be duplicated from the edge. I tried the snake run base and my running shoes were slipping and sliding, and we don't need accidents. So, this was my second time in the Vans Outlet store, and I haven't been in one since I lived around Orlando, FL. I expected to go into the store, feel like a dork, spend too much, put on the shoes at the skate park and look like a poser/dork. :-D Everyone at the store talked to me. One explained about the possibility that there were more shoes hiding in the back, and how the Buy One, Get One Half Price worked--red stickers. Lauren came over, and asked if I was still doing okay, and I explained what was happening. She didn't judge. I still felt like a dork but she didn't judge. She was incredibly helpful. So, I left with two pairs of shoes, one at half price, and socks, which worked on a similar deal--and the satisfaction that someone actually cared about my experience in their store. read more

I went looking for one pair of shoes and brought it up to the counter. In my "Covid mind," I wasn't paying attention to the signs and the cashiers reminded me that I could get another one for free. Got two pairs of Peanuts shoes, a Woodstock backpack, and another backpack for under $100 today. Employees were helpful but not pushy, which is an important balance. Also, being Xmas eve, the store was packed and had a long line, but the cashiers did great, moving people out quickly, while still giving great customer service. Only keeping one star back because a bunch of these prices in the "outlet" store were the same as the prices I paid at a normal retail store a few weeks back, but I love the Peanuts line, so I will go back and collect as many as I can afford. read more

Horrible rude service. The gal acted like we weren't even there at the register. We're standing at the register and she started talking to her coworker about personal stuff until we said something to the fact that we would like to get checked out and leave. Then she was extremely rude. I'd rather pay more to go to the real store in the mall. read more

I absolutely love going into this location! The staff here is always friendly and seem eager to help you find what you are looking for. If a size isn't on the sales floor, the staff is quick to check if in the store. This location has a great system for checking on sizes and styles...since under new management this year. Where do I began. So I came to this place on Tuesday and LOVED the sale they had. The wait in line was really long but briana was an absolute BA! Very friendly helpful and awesome and I did a split payment with no problems at all. So today (thursday) I decided to go back and get some more shoes because the special going on is amazing and I love me some vans so I wanted to stock up for my son and I. Again the wait was super long. I want to start off by saying SAM was so helpful. Got me the shoes i wanted two different times from the back and had a great energy about her. Now for the reason I'm only leaving 3 stars. The girl handling the cash register ANA had no clue what she was doing. I wanted a split payment on two different CC. I could tell when I asked for that, she was a little nervous. Instead of asking for help, she continues. She ended up messing the transaction up. I ended up standing there for 45 minutes with a huge line behind me while SAM comes over to try and figure out what happened. Now, people have to learn. I get that but my problem is that the girl that made the mistake did not apologize one time for the wait. Did not apologize to the long line of people waiting and seriously moved so slow that I wanted to light a fire under her. While there's a long line of people there shouldn't be other employees just standing around doing nothing. What looked like the manager on duty (green hair glasses plaid pants) literally did not care about what was happening had no resolution and if I was working there I would have been so irritated. The fact that I waited that long over an entry issue is just ridiculous. ANA needs better training and for sure some help with customer resolution. I work in customer service and was extremely disappointed. Customers do not want to wait in line for over an hour while you guys move slow and talk to each other. With from what I saw 5 people on shift, and 3 registers..it's crazy how long the wait is. At least if you make a mistake apologize! Don't just stand there doing nothing. I will be back because I love this place, I really hate to leave bad reviews but this definitely took the cake for the worst experience I have ever had here. Briana and Sam are the reason I am leaving 3 stars, especially SAM she deserves a raise for how she handled the situation because it was for sure frustrating. She handled it like a boss and they're the reason I am not leaving 1 Star. Thank you to the ladies that actually cared about my time and money. read more

The customer service here is phenomenal.. I always have a great experience, specifically Christopher always seems to be working, have also dealt with Victor. Today I had a semi-difficult return and instead if making me feel bad, Chris was incredibly helpful. Prices are great, too, where else can you get Vans tees at like 2-for-$13, everything is BOGO. . I'm pretty sure this is where we'll be getting all my boys' clothes/shoes/backpacks here in the future. Good customer service us hard to come by these days and needs to be rewarded. Store manager is the laziest person I've ever met. Honestly I've never seen her do anything but folding and ringing up. Seems like the rest of staff are the only helpers. Used to be such an enjoyable experience. Avoid store manager if you can. read more
