Hi just passing over here to make you new incoming band people aware to stay out of BAND ROOM CENTRAL if you need to rent an instrument for next year. To make the story short, my son's instrument was damaged more than month ago and band central said that they would pick up the instrument and said that they will need just 2 weeks to send back to school. We waited more than 3 weeks for a response and they called us to let us know that instrument was going to be delivered to school last Monday. Well they did not, so due to that I was not worried to return it because it is common sense that they will keep it and not send it back to school 2 DAYS BEFORE CLASSES ARE OVER. So I called today just to be sure that Everything was in order and they said that I need to return the instrument or I will still be charged during summer. I ask when the instrument would be returned and they said on Friday. Literally 2 days before school ends. I believe that making me pay on purpose for an instrument that my kid will not longer use is not a reliable store. Update: Come on, guys. A water key cork replacement is super simple. Here's my issues on how it was handled: 1.) You don't need the entire instrument. If you say you can't do the job without the entire horn, you don't understand what I'm asking for. Since brass instruments is your specialty, this is a bad sign. 2.) This is not a 3-5 business day job. It's typically a while-you-wait service, less than 5 minutes if the store isn't busy (which, let's be honest, is dead in the middle of March). 3.) This is not a $40 minimum charge. In my experience, it's always been free, but I don't mind paying $5-10 for the time. This is the second time this has happened. The owner assured me a few years ago that this was a misunderstanding, and that I should give them a second chance. Since you're the closest shop to me, I swung by on another errand with just the tuning slide, hoping to get back to practicing as soon as I got home, but the kid at the counter assured me that the policy is still the same. Being a professional musician, a week without my instrument is unacceptable unless it's a major repair, and this is as simple as a repair can get. Based on this policy, it's actually cheaper and quicker for me to drive an hour to Melbourne to have the job done! I understand if the repair tech wasn't in at the moment, but most people working at a music store should be able to handle this job. Poor customer service and quality in products. Several issues with instruments and constantly delay in being addressed. Cases break easily and they try to patch repairs rather than fix properly and thoroughly. So finally they offer a loaner instrument after they forgot to fix the one that wasn't working.... even though they knew the instrument wasn't working several days before the concert. How do you only offer a solution for a loaner to suddenly be available just before the instrument is needed and only state that WE CAN pick it up in Orlando rush hour traffic to take it to his school 40 mins away?!?!! To add insult to injury they rudely explained that they have a lot of repairs that are needed for concerts so the tech can't fix them all. Shop elsewhere if you want your business and/or your child to be taken seriously. A working instrument that your child play is not a top priority for this business!! read more

Horrible service! Called on phone to ask if they had flip folder pages and was out on hold for 5 minutes then was hung up on. Called back and was put on hold another 3 minutes. I hung up and called back, asked for Manager and was told they were busy. The girls I spoke with all 3 times sounded completely clueless. I will never be their customer. The private teachers are really good and well qualified. The yearly recital in February is a great way for students to gain performing experience. The string instrument repairs are very well done and reasonably priced. A large selection of printed music for all instruments is available as well as accessories for all instruments.
