Lovely shop in NYC! Finally, we don't have to trek to NJ to get our merch and collectible cards! Been here a few times but finally reviewing. They built the shop next to Daiso (used to be just empty space with tables/chairs) but now has large space of gashapon, arcade games in the back, a tournament battling area and lots of merch everywhere. On restock days of certain collectibles, they have an efficient ticketing system to allow certain number of customers in the shop at a time for purchase of the said restock. Also, they do allow purchaes of 2 which is more than the NJ shop! They list restock info on their Instagram story along with the ticket/line system. They are very organized and super helpful. Love visiting the shop to see what's new and take in the vibe. Large display and status all around the shop with some photo ops area.

Came here after it was opened for about a week. It was an ever fun store. It had a lot of Gunpla and capsules machines. There are also a lot of tables for people to hang out to play their card games. The only thing is that outside the store there were lots of trash, I guess it is from people waiting in line to get in. I like the set up and just wish they have more exclusive items.

They're bringing a little Japan to Southern Brooklyn and I'm here for it. They have collectibles, figurines, tamagotchis, games, and gachapons. It was busy during their grand opening and can get packed closer to the weekend, but it's pretty empty on most weekdays. The gachapons machines range from 2 to 5 tokens and each token is $2.

Tons of figures, cards, gachapon, and gundam. Has a wide selection of kits and cool displays to showcase the kits.

Its a small shop but stockpiled around the place up to the ceiling with gaming systems and previously owned cartridges of an endless list of popular games. There are likely even some unpopular ones that are now cult favorites for some reason. I noticed PS2 and PS3 items, along with Nintendo, XBox and many more. Not only can you find the games but they also have a stockpile of the actual systems and controllers on display so if you broke something you might want to get over there. Price wise I'd have to say that they can be all over the place because they are not your conventional shop with a new stock coming in from a distributor every day. They seem focused on the used games and systems so the inventory varies and fluctuates. There are games that are more rare than some others and some items might be in a little less than perfect condition based on use and that is bound to be the case with places like this. Truth be told, I find its better to deal with a slightly higher figure for something you've been looking for forever rather than risking someone else snagging it up while you opine the decision. While they primarily focus on video games for most gaming systems, they do have a stockpile of Funko Pops, some action figures, and a couple of boxes of old comic books all available for assorted prices. Again its based on the stock and the rarity if anything. I did see a stock of hats and billfolds and those are completely new along with a few cork boards of shiny pins which are also new. If you have a gamer geek in your family they should be brought here because I think they'd find something they need or wanted to have for awhile. I've seen them take trades for store credit but outside of that I am not sure how they deal with the walk ins with piles of games, comics or toys. Recommended.

This place's game selection for these systems includes the best of the best, along with the rarer and more esoteric titles, and the inventory moves pretty quickly so there's always something new every few weeks. The guy running the place, Adrian, is extremely kind and courteous - he is always willing to answer questions and provide info, but he's never pushing to sell anything and it feels like a no-pressure, comfortable environment for taking your time to browse. I'd totally recommend Brooklyn Video Games to anyone who appreciates physical stores for retro games and accessories - two thumbs up!

I think that business should close it's doors.
