Oly Taproom is a great place to eat and chill, or to meet friends, have a conversation or people watch, and on nice days they often open the garage door type windows making the inside seating feel like part of the outside, which is cool. As a bonus, after your meal, the Percival Landing boardwalk is right across the street, so you can take a walk and take in the lovely views. Besides the beer on tap, there are more in the coolers, as well as some soda options (and I think iced teas?). I'm not a big beer drinker but the staff is always great about helping me choose the right one based on my preferences, and because there are hops in the pizza sauce, the pizza & beer combination is especially delicious. There was a lot of bacon and the tomatoes were very crisp and fresh which had added a bunch of flavor to the sandwich. While I know pickles are inherently salty, I did find these to be exceptionally salty, leaving me to wonder if the batter was also salted, which definitely would not be necessary. The meat was just OK. They do not ask you how you would like your steak cooked, so once I got it, that made sense. I'm guessing they don't just smoke it for a little bit and finish the cooking it another way because it is well done with some rough bits - perhaps leftovers from something else. Honestly, I would prefer to have a nice juicy steak on top of a salad, and while I enjoyed this enough, I probably would not get it again for this reason. Service was nice! Shoutout to the volunteers holding down the stage and ensuring that tips were being collected after each performance with mindfulness of the audience that they may be in the way of. They even offer exchanges for singles if you brought cash and want to break it. No need to stop by atm if you forgot to do so before the show. 15 minute intermission at the halftime of the 2-hourish burlesque show, which was enough time to do what you need. I think that they have bathroom here, but unsure of the cleanliness because I did not go. The stage that they perform at is cutely decorated with sparkly streamers and the volunteers do their best to clean the stage after each performed so that no slip-ups happen...and thankfully that did not occur during my time there! I like that the burlesque was prop-heavy for some performances because apparently it is not common in the burlesque scene. The emcee, dulce, did a great job to ensure that the crowd was enjoying their time while performers got ready. I wish that for the ticket, they specified how long the shows were. All tix said 1800 or 6PM start time, so pls look at your entire ticket order because you may be out in for the late-night show at 2100 or 9pm...espscially if that is what you ordered. anyway, the performers were super duper great. No complaints. Got my money's worth for my general admission ticket of $28.52. It is near the vip chairs, but vip got more crowd interaction with the performers dancing on them. if u want that, get vip tix! Not that much of a difference in pricing from what I remember. Another thing was that it would have been nice if they listed who the performers will be on the ticket order or on the front of the spot when you enter the door. Just better advertising would be nice so that even more people can see the talent!! Parking was good with the side street. Car did not get broken into...Read the signs, though! After studying the tap list it looks like what they carry here primarily is guest tap beers and meads from local breweries and meaderies and doesn't appear that they make their own like the predecessor of this space. But that's okay as it's a really cool place. The guest taps they have are good... nice and cold. The food is good as well. I got a pulled pork sandwich... something that I haven't had in a really long time. I enjoyed it... it was nice and tasty! It was a nice sized lunch along with the fries. The people that work here are nice and friendly and the space here is fun. Definitely a cool place to come and hang out in!

It's a little ways out of the main neighborhoods of Olympia but that is what makes it great because there aren't a lot of other businesses where it's located for the residents here.
