Surprisingly good pizza for what we were expecting! We were staying at the inn up the road and it was essentially our only option. Right when we went in we were greeted by a very laid back but energetic server who gave us our menus and told us about the area. This place has the feel of an old pizza place you'd go to with your sports team as a kid, which totally added to the appeal. Games on the TVs, pool table and air hockey table. We gathered up a few quarters and played air hockey while we waited for our pizzas. Food didn't take long and it was good. Loads of cheese on both the pizzas we ordered. Delicious little restaurant! My brothers and I had dinner here one night while on a fishing trip. Wonderful little local restaurant! One brother ordered the Salisbury steak and enjoyed it. Nice hamburger patty covered with a rich beefy gravy. Served with mashed potatoes and veggies. The other brother had the club sandwich with clam chowder. He thought it was very delicious! Well, there isn't much to choose from in the area so we came here. This is clearly a popular place for locals-everyone knew each other and it seems to be a popular hang out spot. Service was good. One guy who was constantly running around to tend to everyone, but never felt that we waited long or that he was too busy for us. Food: Hawaiian pizza, smoked salmon chowder, chicken fried steak and side salad. Pizza wasn't bad. Thick crust, big toppings and fair amount of cheese. My husband had the side salad (nothing fancy lol) and the chicken fried steak. To me, the chicken fried steak didn't look good (and I love chicken fried steak) but he said it was. The smoked salmon chowder: oh my god I keep thinking about it. It was so good. I want more and more of it! Definitely try it if you're in town! The place is a little sore on the eyes. It's a gathering place for locals, with a kind of sports bar vibe, and perfect to get a quick and inexpensive dinner. There's a bar area, where we sat, and all evening there were local folks coming in to pick up orders to go. It's a bar food kind of place, so we had bar food. They have pizzas, burgers, etc. All plentiful and reasonably priced. Our server was harried, but friendly and provide excellent service. We really loved the ambiance though. Everyone was very friendly. Several locals stopped by our table to ask us where we were from and welcome us to the area. There was a lot of laughter in the room, which to us meant everyone was comfortable and enjoying being there. Us too.
