Our experience was a mix of frustration & disappointment. Pics of pizza looked delicious so we were excited to try a newer place in Shelton. We were trying for a good 20+ mins to place an online order, the site was difficult to use... hubby gave up so I tried placing by phone, calling a couple times but just got voicemail, ugh. So then I attempt to place online, finally got done but was confusing. It stated certain pizzas etc had an "online discount" but when you go to pay there's no discount shown. So again I try and call, no luck. So I just go ahead and pay the charge which sounded a bit extreme then it asks you to include a TIP! At this point that seemed a joke but threw in $2 bucks more. Then I realize the confirmation says pickup the NEXT DAY!!! Again try calling and no answer. At some point I left a voicemail but hubby was upset seeing the added confusion and took off to go in person to deal with it. So he gets back with the 1 pizza (they are just one size and pics made it seem large enough for 2 people) plus we ordered a salad to share. $45!! He shows me the size of both and we realized this was probably a mistake. Sure enough the pizza (which he ordered extra crisp crust) was so paper thin yet crispy on top but still floppy bottom which I hate. It was a chicken Alfredo but you could barely detect the cream sauce, we added onions and couldn't see them nor could you tasted the chicken but maybe a few morsels. It looked like a plain round flatbread with some cheese and a touch of spinach and couple chunks of artichoke. Looked better than it tasted, I sadly had one piece. The salad $15! Yes it did have plenty of the toppings and overkill on onions ironically but we added pepperoni and it was just skimpy on top. The Italian dressing was oddly sweet. The salad just should have been bigger. The pizza was lacking everything and crust was also disappointing. I hate giving a poor review but we were upset from start to finish. read more

Recently went here with wife and 3-year-old. They seemed very flexible in that they had some music from a stereo playing, and our three year old commenced dance floor right in the entrance area. The food was pretty good. We went here because my wife has celiac, and she was able to eat some spicy chicken wings, a pile of fries smothered in Lamb and other Mediterranean type things, and also a cauliflower crust pizza, which was pretty good, as the pictures show. Well it didn't take long for a follow-up stop and subsequent visit...and thus this review, which I NEVER do. Yet, this update is less about the food and more about the service. I had the exact same pizza as last time (creature of habit!) and it was every bit "en par excellence!" No worries there! No, this time it was the service that was simply sublime and it honestly caught me by surprise..and has ensured my continued loyalty to CLFP moving forward! So... Once again, my wife and I were passing through town when I had a craving for a pizza from CLFP again. As we did last time, when we hit Belfair my wife went online and placed the order from her phone. She sent me the screen shot of the receipt. We arrived, I parked, and then I ran inside... only once again to have caught the restaurant in their mid-day lull in business and I think I even found that Toby (the same super cool dude who made my pizza on our first visit and NOW I discover he's the owner/proprietor) was upstairs enjoying his own lunch out of sight (but that's was only a guess). As I inquire into the status of the pizza, I was greeted with a blank stare and response that he hadn't received any online order. I shared the screenshot of the receipt and we both were at a loss for words. I returned to my car and asked the misses if she experienced any glitches in connectivity while placing the order...she thought there could have been, so we checked our bank online for any charges or even pending charges...and there was nothing! I went back inside and Toby had already started to the make the "ordered-yet-potentially-never-ordered pizza" (having already forgotten that he had seen the screenshot). I was like, "Oh, thanks man! I wasn't going to leave here without that pie... no matter what!" Then I said, "I'm going to hope the charge didn't actually go through, and settle up with you... but let me check our bank online one last time before paying...if that's cool with you?" And I hadn't even really completely finished getting that question out, when he blurted out, "Yeah man... about that...how about just next time you come back through, stop again and if you owe me you owe me and if not then we're good? And hey, if you happen to give the place a good review online, I'd be grateful too!" WHO DOES THIS THESE DAYS? I mean, this is what "running a tab" used to mean...and you just don't see this practice much anymore! But no credit card info or ID even asked for! Pretty damn local...tribal...communal...familiar...and just frickin' cool! And if you think all this is too naive of me to say... or naive of me to have framed this experience as I have... and your view is that this perhaps is nothing more than talented marketing...well, so be it...I honestly don't care! Besides...this is my review anyhow! Toby doesn't know it yet...but my wife and I will be passing through town again on Saturday. We ordered three pizzas. One of those was on a gluten free crust. Pizzas came out pretty quickly. I did have to ask for pepper and Parmesan. The pizza is pretty decent. Chatted with the owner a bit and he was really nice. After we wrapped up eating, I did have to get up and find our server to ask to pay. Great service and delicious food. Stopped by on a Friday evening to pick up a couple of pizzas to go. We tried the bacon jalapeno popper pizza and the good ol pepperoni pizza. Both were really good! The dough was so soft, even the crust! The jalapenos do have a kick so if you like spicy/ hot food, this is it!! Loved the cream sauce base. Yum yum! And the pepperoni pizza was the highlight!! Went to this place for my birthday with 12 people on the 11th. Half of the pizzas were burnt over half the crust. The other half had partial char like a wood fired pizza. The toppings, dough and sauce is great. Just wondered if it was too much pizza for them to cook at 1 time. I will try again next time because so much family in Shelton says it's good. read more

I have tried 3 different pizza places in Shelton and am bestowing this establishment with the 5 star rating. I stand by my previous critiques of the other 2 establishments. I ordered, via online, two pizzas (cheese & half pepperoni/black olives) along with some cheesy bread. They were backed up with orders (a good sign) when I arrived at the appointed time and they had just started my order. Not a big deal, as a cold beer can handle anything. The chef was multitasking a few orders and he made the mistake of forgetting the half olives. When he realized the mistake he re-made it and gave us the extra pepperoni on the house (generous and the kids appreciated it). The pizza was thin crust with just the right amount of sauce. The pepperoni, olives and cheese were STACKED! I can't imagine what a pizza would be if you ordered any of those toppings with extra (which you can do, but I did not). The pizzas and cheesy bread were very, very, tasty and we all enjoyed them! I think my brother and nephew, who live in Shelton, may have found their new pizza place. read more

Drinks were hit and miss (cucumber margarita mocktail was undrinkable and tasted like exclusively tonic water, but prickly pear mocktail was excellent). First time visiting. Cute place. Pizza was good. We had the chicken tai, pickle and ranch pizza. Took home the Pepperoni, goat cheese and arugula pizza as well as the Maui wowee. All pretty good. My suggestion is when putting in a Togo order (while dining in) don't have it come out with your pizza that you're eating in restaurant. Our pizzas sat in the back while we ate, then we sat a little after we finished eating so id say the pizzas were sitting there for a good hour in the back before we left and when we got home (ordered pizzas for other family members) the pizzas were very cold. First, I welcome any new business to Shelton. Thank you for choosing our community! Second, this is only the second time I have had wood fired pizza so I don't know what it should taste like. That said: The atmosphere and building are great. There is an eating area downstairs with the oven and a warm bar upstairs with music playing on a TV. The service upstairs in the bar was wonderful. Our server was cheerful, checked in regularly, and answered our questions. She had all the details about the food memorized. She knew her job! Now about the food - we had the Meatasourus and Vegetarian pizzas. We had sides of beet chips and cheese sticks. We tried local brews. We had apple crisp and lemon cake for dessert. The pizzas were quite good, the flavors were excellent - they just fell apart. The toppings slide off easily. Is this normal? We don't know. The Meatasourus was savory, great blend of flavors. The veggie pizza had enormous chunks of red peppers and other veggies. I had it on garlic Alfredo sauce. Wonderful! The beet chips are TO DIE FOR. These need to come in a larger basket. Better than fries. Order with that fantastic fluffy ranch sauce. We suggest not ordering the garlic cheese bread. The garlic was pureed and it made the bread soggy and was overwhelming. Just order the cheese bread. The apple crisp was not what we expected. I would not recommend it. The lemon cake was DA BOMB! Exceptional. Try that for dessert. The local brews were interesting, try the Potlach IPA - very crisp, slightly fruity. Also have low alcohol options. Can't wait to try more food! read more
