First time going through Divorce and it is very stressful going through this situation, I hired Neil Banerjee back in 2/18/25 I paid for the retainer and I had mentioned to him that I was dealing with a restraining order that my wife had put on me and also needed help with my divorce he did say he can help me with both. So I told him I had court on 3/17/25 because there was a temporary restraining order that was granted to my wife against me. I told Neil banerjee that my wife didn't have no proof of her allegations. My wife had file for restraining order in 1/15/25 and it didn't get granted because there wasn't sufficient evidence, but we did have court on 2/7/25 during the waiting of this court date there was A DCFS investigation that took place and that's the reason why my wife was granted temporary restraining order. So there was the court hearing 3/17/25 to wait on the investigation for DCFS. So the investigation took place and it was closed before the court hearing 3/17/25. During this process Neil had not filed for divorce or even response for the restraining order he waited until 3/13/25. I had to hire a paralegal that did the declaration and he use that one he never asked me I will be doing the declaration. But even though the declaration was made from my paralegal he didn't even submit to the court. Neil was very rude and disrespectful getting closer to the court hearing 3/17/25. Instead of helping me with the restraining order he caused me more stress and also money because he didn't do nothing but just file just for the divorce which he should have done 2/18/25 or the next day. Neil banerjee was telling me to take keep the restraining order for 3years and I was like NO why would I do that when there is no proof and DCFS investigation was closed, he started getting bothered at me because I didn't want to do what he says, I told him I have proof of my wife being verbally abusive and physically and I have witnesses if Anything I need to put a restraining order against her, He kept saying what about if she does have proof and I told him if she did have proof she would of submitted that proof since the day of her first filing on 1/15/25 which didn't get granted because she didn't have proof. And if she did have any proof then Neil should have asked my wife attorney to submit any proof to him before the court date 3/17/25 Which is something that Neil should have asked for I assume so that way he prepares for the hearing day. Neil kept saying oh why don't you want to keep the restraining order maybe you want to go back with her I understand, And I said what ? Are you serious I hired you to file for a divorce if I wanted to get back with her I would of called her or even texted her to get back with me, But instead of that I want to file for a divorce, Neil is very unprofessional for having to say I don't want the restraining order because I want to get back with my wife. Neil also kept saying you are calling me to much your retainer payment is almost done you ask to many questions, Which again very unprofessional, Isn't that what a client has to be doing, Client asks questions to attorney and the attorney answers and you are getting paid for answering. Also during the confrontation me and Neil had he didn't have no patients what so ever and the court hearing 3/17/25 was getting closer and Neil didn't make me feel he could actually handle my case, He was bothered at me because I didn't want to leason to him on keeping the restraining, He would be telling me dog I already told so many times How many times do you want me to repeat to you dog, Being very Ghetto and unprofessional. I don't know were he got his degree but it seemed to me he went to the hood and got his degree there cause what type of attorney says Dog to his clients. I definitely don't recommend Neil Banerjee to anyone, He is not a good attorney, It is very stressful dealing with a divorce And having so many things happening in your life and Having an attorney like Neil Banerjee that didn't make my situation stress free, The reason people hire attorneys is to get things resolved guiding through the process and also being able to emotionally support I assume. But Neil was my first attorney and Really bad experience with him. Now I had to hire another attorney which is another expense because Neil was very incompetent of doing the job on time. Financially speaking Going through a divorce sucks cause I kept telling Neil I was going through financial hardship and he kept disregarding that and had no Sympathy at all, He would just say I know you already told me that you are going through financial hardship. Completely dismissing everything I am telling him, So that He can maybe use this information towards my defense. The only reason why I hired him is because I have some assets and that was going to be maybe complex to deal with. I was facing an unexpected case where the other parent wanted to move to another state. Mr. Banerjee assisted me with this matter. It was very easy working with him and straight forward. I have been before the same judge for 10 years and there always seems to be hostility from the Judge aimed in my direction. Ultimately, the judge granted the move away order to the other parent. I decided that I will move as well so I do not lose out on the relationship with my child. But working with Mr. Banerjee, I was able to get even more time with my child than I ever had before. I feel that this was a very favorable outcome compared to the history of the judge, as I feared there would be a complete separation. over a year later and he has sent me a letter via email threatening to sue me for 50k for defamation... i told him to fuk off of course... poor dude can't take rejection in any form. i turned him into the bar where he was made to eliminate the inflated invoice he tried to write up really quick as the sole invoice i received for a year of "work". i was also told to take him to arbitration for the $2500 retainer he took from me two days before he quit and didn't work for (the bar does not handle fee arbitration). i'm busy and don't have time to do all this for 2k so it's whatever... ive moved on like a mentally stable person does and have accepted my fault in this for not doing my research. at the time, he had no avvo account and still has one that i think he just started when i pointed this out to him in response to his recent manchild temper tantrum... i should've looked for an attorney on there and not yelp. to put it bluntly, this man has very very very very few satisfied customers for how long he's been practicing. at the time of my unfortunate dealings w him, he was helping a friend w a divorce leading me to assume (and you to consider) that a few of the ratings here are from friends starting w the first... . anyway, i'm not worried about it and, if he does serve me like a serious person does and not like a narcissistic egotistical maniac in the form of empty threats (he knows he'd get laughed out of court lol), i'm confident it will get thrown out and then i'll countersue for damages and harassment (honestly i've thought about a restraining order given his recent [and second] attempt at extortion), it's kind of freaky he is still stewing over this and he knows where i live... . i gave him some grown up business person advice and told him to have what he claimed as "hundreds of happy customers" to leave their reviews to offset my negative one... or i told him he should've apologized back then for all the stress he caused me and gave me my retainer replenishment back and then maybe his review would've been a little better... it's too late now, i've moved on, duh. neil move on and good job taking my advice and having people help you with some new positive reviews... good boy, your mommy would be proud. and neil, there are 1 star ratings for a reason... you can't sue everyone who does not like your service... and i have the RIGHT to honestly give you that rating. you do follow fetish and only fans sites on your ig (or did before you made it private), that's a fact. however that makes YOU feel when it's pointed out is on you... don't do tacky trashy stuff and no one will point it out. and also you admitted to asking me to drinks AND lunch... of course this isn't enough to get you disbarred but i can say as a women, it made me uncomfortable and i can guarantee most the women on here are looking to avoid that discomfort when it comes to hiring an employee to do a job for them... i am doing this for you ladies... don't take this shhhhh from no man, ever.
