So, I was very scared to take our husky puppies in to the Bandfield hospital because of all the and reviews and negative things you hear about them from Facebook and other sites, but my friend told me That she has never had an issue at the Layton one so we decided to try it out. We made an appointment, and we got there the next day, and let me tell you, great experience, everyone was very friendly, the staff at the front desk was so helpful and amazing, they all fell in love with our two husky puppies, everyone loved them. The check in process was amazing, very fast, and they explained everything to us, they made sure to let us know how much everything would be and even explain the whole process. Once they took the puppies to the back, the nurse asked me all the concerns we had for our puppies i told her. She took them back. About an hour 1/2 later the Vet came out and she was amazing, very helpful, very honest and explained everything, you can tell she cared and loved our babies. She told me why she recommended for Milo and Snow and she even walked me to the food area to find something that would be better for them, she told me the best toys. She was very amazing, such a nice and amazing worms and i really appreciate her for everything. My entire experience was amazing, and i will definitely be back. Thank you guys. read more

They way over-book the pets they plan to see. They are so busy they can't answer the phone, seemingly... or if they finally do answer, they put you on hold and never come back. The vets are too booked up to come talk to you personally, so instead they send a technician out when you pick up your pet to summarize what the vet said to them. Then the techs tend to blow smoke up your arse, 'cause they don't always have the in depth info you're looking for, so they come out with this pat generalized info that you'd get reading a general information web page. They charge too much for what you get, which reminds me of sick-call in the service... long lines, and short shrift; except they tender service at an inflated cost & one suspects that not all they advise to do is really necessary... for example, teeth cleaning. They make a bundle off of that and the need, I feel, is not always there. It's a very production line vet service. read more

Went to pet smart today to get my dogs kidney medicated dog food. Very nasty girl named Ashley working at banfield, refused to update my card. Something that I've done for the past 3 years in order to purchase my dogs food. I couldn't find my updated card. Even though the pet smart shows I bought his food three months ago . The girl kept insisting that I hadn't bought him food in 3 years. She then said that pet smart must have sold me the food breaking the rules without having a updated prescription. So instead of finding a solution, this girl would rather blame pet smart for breaking the rules, or stating I haven't fed my dog in 3 years. She should not be working with sick animals or people, she has no people skills and is a very sarcastic, unpleasant person. Drove to my vet office and they gave me a copy of the rx which has no expiration date. Just to drive back to show them , so I could buy my dog his food. read more

We have enjoyed the clinic and their staff since 2015. We have a wellness plan for both our dog and cat. However they never have available appointments except to complete comprehensive check ups. Takes days (a week sometimes) to get an appointment for a sick pet. This is unacceptable and decided we have been paying them all these years basically for check ups. Our dog was never a real fan and seemed to be extra "nervous & timid". We didn't like the drop off appointments either because of this but they are always the clinics first option. They say the triage their sick appointments but we have rarely been able to get a non-check up appointment. Because of this we are allowing our plans to expire and have found a new vet. We need a vet we can actually get into when our Peet's are not well. Some feedback, stop booking up your days with check ups and surgery. You can tell this company is corporate run, it's about the $$$$. The people are great with the exception of our last experience. There is nothing that can be done to change our view unfortunately. No appointments available on a regular basis. My pet died and I couldn't cancel the plan and in addition I could not use it for another pet. The is terrible service. You are better off elsewhere. They also didn't notice a severe kidney issue despite the dog going in 2 times a year. All of sudden his kidneys were failing and stage 4 between 2 visits. Not a great vet group and the "service contract" is severely flawed. You are not guaranteed visits or appointments ever. It's month before one is available to catch or treat your pets. read more

Canceling my pet insurance and finding another clinic. Every time I take my pet here, they nickel and dime me with additional charges. I feel prescription dog food is pushed on me, unnecessary tests ran and we have the most expensive insurance plan they offer! I have become extremely disappointed in the level of care our animal has received. Will be taking my business elsewhere to a more family friendly vet that doesn't force their products & services in my face. read more

Biggest joke of a business. I have taken my aussie here since 2020 and I'm not sure if it's because of the pandemic and everyone getting animals but there is literally never any appointment availability. If my dog needs any immunizations I have to schedule it months in advance. I pay monthly for the optimum wellness plan for what??? I can't even take her in for emergency care and I can hardly get her an appointment for preventive care. I will be canceling my OWP and I hope no one continues business with them. I've loved all of the vets here but it's not even worth bothering anymore. read more

Constant billing issues, charge $70 one month then jumps to $120 the next then back to $80 another. Appointment problems are also a constant. Never have the right times, and not accommodating to working schedule. Sub par care, depending on who the vet is any given day. Very basic treatment, pet plan is not worth what you pay out every month. They will recommend science diet from hills for everything. Poor quality food at inflated price, almost like the vet gets a kickback from hills. Very slow at this location, generally friendly staff. read more

Absolutely hated this place. We had a coupon for a free initial screening of our dog and we thought why not its free! But the moment we got there and they called us back the Vet Tech told us they were under a time crunch and they would "get right to the point". Thats not something you tell someone, we want a personable person with good bedside manner that is going to take the time to get to know our dog and make sure he gets what he needs. Once we went in the first thing the vet tech asked us was have you heard of our pet wellness plan and went on for 10-15 minutes explaining those and making no sense at all with it. We're new pet owners and need things to be explained to us. She never asked us if we wanted to take care of vaccinations today or not and just went back and got the actual Vet and came out with a bunch of shots and vaccinations. They were about to administer the shots/vaccinations and I literally had to reach in between them and tell them no we didn't want to pay for those today and were checking around first to find who we liked the best. And they went on trying to guilt trip us into being terrible owners telling us all these terrible things that can happen to our puppy if we don't take care of the vaccinations right away. Needless to say we told them just hurry up and do what this free coupon covers and we are going to leave. We will for sure never be back to this Vet or location ever again. Do not trust them, they are only there for the money, not for the love the animals. read more

I absolutely love this clinic. Every time we come in they are wonderful to my puppy and kitty! They are both on wellness plans and it's a great deal and has saved us a great deal of money. My cat has had to have a teeth cleansing and they were wonderful with her and had her feeling a million times better. She had to have a total of 6 extractions and 3 of which were free of charge. My puppy has gotten all of his shots for free thanks to the wellness plan and we've saved a great deal of money on medications. i have loved this place. I have a wellness plan for my german shepard and every time we go in they take care of us. I thought that dogs were supposed to hate the vet but every time i take lucy to banfield she is excited. They are friendly to me, but more importantly they love the pets. Very upset!! I signed up for a wellness plan June 2015 I was paying $43 a month with no problems, I was pleased so far with services until September. I changed my card information at the beginning of August and was charged with no problems, but in September I didn't get charged at all no email or phone call from Banfield and on their site it said the payment had been made. I assumed I received a month free due to complications I had trying to get my dogs breed analysis , however in the middle of October I received an Email saying I owed $70 I immediately called Banfield and spoke with the manager who said they would take off the fee and it would be $43 again also I could stop or start my plan at anytime. Well I was getting ready to pay this month November when I got an email saying I owed $103 so this time I called the corporate office and they told me I was under a 12 month contract and would continue to be finned until I paid, and if I cancelled my plan I owe them for all the work done on my dog. So we made a plan to pay the $103 December 5th and from that point on $43 the 5th of every month, I just looked on my bank and they charged me $153 November 5th. I'm extremely upset I was never informed of a contrac. read more

I absolutely love this clinic. They are very helpful when it comes to last minute calls and visits. They treat my dog like family and I love how my dog enjoys coming here. It makes my visit even better knowing that my dog is excited to go to the vets. I love how Banfield has a wellness plan that I can pay monthly. I pay over $80 a month for my dog to have a plan here and when i took him in today it took them 4 hours to call me and tell me they can do a skin scrape for an additional $33 .... That is absolutly ridiculous. So i payed them $80 a month to say he has a rash and they can do a skin scrape. Not only that but when the vet herself called 4 hours later to tell me i can "try" antibiotic ointment she asked if he was scratching the rash.... It makes me wounder if she even looked at the complaints where i clearly stated it 3 times and if she even looked at my dog at all .. I WILL NEVER EVER DROP MY DOG OFF AGAIN. nor will i ever use BANFIELD PET HOSPITAL EVER AGAIN. read more

I was not impressed with my experience at Banfield Pet Hospital. I had an appt. on Saturday and it was obviously one of their busier days. After waiting for 40 minutes, I decided to reschedule. I chose a Monday and requested the first appt. of the day so that I wouldn't have to wait. On Monday, I showed up on time and proceeded to wait for 30 minutes before I saw the vet. The vet seemed qualified although he was very young and seemed more comfortable around dogs than people. At the end of the visit, I was hit with a marketing pitch to buy their wellness insurance plan. By then I had already decided that I wouldn't be back. This business is not well run and is suffering because of it. read more

I have had great experiences at all the Banfields I've been to but the Layton clinic is our new favorite. We just moved to the area and take both our dogs and cat to see Dr. Urbick and Dr. Kennedy who are always so sweet. Although I have had some long wait times, the staff has been great at keeping me informed and updated. All the techs I've met seem very knowledgeable and great with my fur kids. I even met the new doc, Dr Atwood recently and I can tell already she's another great addition to the Banfield team. I wouldn't take my fur kids anywhere else! They are worth the long wait times, I promise! read more

I have thought long and hard about writing this review. When our cat became ill I asked several neighbors who they would suggest for a Vet. I had about 4 recommendations. I called each option and the warmest welcome was Banfield. I actually had a little hang up thinking a pet care in Petsmart could be "The Best" well I have probably only written 3 reviews in my life and giving a Five Star rating is seldom if ever an option as I always believe there is room for improvement. Well..... I was wrong about the whole Petsmart idea, They Are "The Best" and if there was Six Stars they would get it! My sweet cat of 11 years needed to have six teeth removed and for the next week the staff would be family to me! They never (Not Once) became tired as I would check in multiple times of the day and even educated me on given our cat fluids through the night and over a long Sunday. David became like a brother to me and my children as he compassionately educated us on each of her treatments. This was an incredibly tough time for our pet and I am absolutely Sure no other location or pet care facility would have or could have come close to the care my "family member" received. read more
